I say that we, as Republicans, should claim our first tool as a long and detailed memory. The second tool should be the will and the willingness to pay back every last cent of what is owed, when the opportunity eventually comes. One of the problems we've had in recent years has been our party's seeming reluctance to get into the trenches and fight the opposition on their terms. The other side, meanwhile, has been all too eager to fight us in any way they can. When a war is being fought, and only one side will acknowledge it as such (a war), guess who inevitably wins? “Tools of reprisal”?
