Dem machine politics in Chicago are legend it looks like she pulled it up short for Hill and now gets a soft job as a thank you.

She was born in Chicago and her oldest brother is an alderman from the 25th ward and she broke into politics on the Daley Mayoral campaign.

She ran most of Hillary’s campaigns for Senate and had a lot to do with Bills and all of a sudden Hill had her campaign before Iowa fall off the tracks to give Obama a running start.

I would look more for some old connections pulling her in to work a less than tip top effort for Hill to get this done or somebody from Chicago made her an offer that she couldn’t refuse.
