Livestream: Liberal John the Baptist heralds Democratic Jesus in Detroit

Nothing else going on tonight; might as well. If the video below flickers out, you can watch it at Obama HQ (or, probably, around the dial on the cable nets).
Exit question: How many cloying, thunderously applauded references will Obama make to Gore having a role in his administration?
Update: The livestream’s spotty but MSNBC’s going to air it live.

Does this mean that Al Gore is giving Obama Gravitas?
Seven Percent Solution on June 16, 2008 at 9:19 PM
Indeed there is the same pattern. The media and celebrities laud and celebrate their candidate while the polls all show a democratic victory. Then it evens goes as far as one of the major networks calling the victory, prematurely, for the democratic candidate on election night. Or it can be like 2004 when the exit polls point to a democratic victory. But these people don’t seem to understand that when all is said and done, it comes down to votes that all Americans cast on election night and when those votes get counted, they are outnumbered by the conservatives and independents. Close margin, but when you consider the year long PR that the democratic candidates always seem to get, it’s a wonder the republican ever wins at all.

War in Iraq to a close? Didn’t he just say, ” “an Obama administration will make sure that we continue with the progress that’s been made in Iraq, that we won’t act precipitously”?
Wow. The flip-flops are down to minutes instead of hours now.
How the hell is he going to bring good jobs to Michigan? Isn’t that a state issue? Or will he abuse the Commerce Clause even further?

Dear Lord, please let young people be young people……lazy and aloof. They support him now, but can they clear the malted hops and bong residue enough to drag their rears to the polls? If history is any indicator…..

Granholm, Gore, and BHO?
wow.. talk about an unholy trinity..
Granholm has ran Michigan straight into the gutter.. and she is well into her second term as Gov. but it was all John Ingler’s fault (the previous governor, R)

I think the only time I heard ‘Citizens of the World’ is watching a GI Joe cartoon and Cobra Commander was making some demand about something..
(before anyone asks, I was still a kid(tad over 20 years ago) and my mom heard that and said that there is no such thing as a ‘Citizen of the world’.. that’s the main reason why I remember it.. and that I re-watched it last week too :)

No one can sweat like Al Gore. When he lost the Presidency the tabloids ran a photo of him looking like he had drunk a case of Mexican beer, sweating like a hog, playing drums.
I thought how magical it was. Once a Presidential candidate and suddenly, just a sweat-hog. The Reality Fairy had lifted the veil for a moment.
Team Gore-Merica exists.
Gore has added the unreality needed to make everyone in this race look like a freaking puppet.

Yes, it is called being a serf, er worker, for the State because Obama is going to ask you to work hard.
Rodney Dangerfield off to the left (How appropriate!) sits there smugly and prissily with his hands in his lap, basking in the glow. (I noticed that he didn’t raise his hand when the question about huge salaries came up.)
Michigan, witness the mess that higher taxation has generated in your state. Do these fools, the Messiah and his sheep, know what time and expense is involved in retooling an industry like the automotive sector? Naive.
This preacher-style delivery and boiler-plate agenda relies so heavily on class envy and utopian promises that the easily duped will pull the “D” lever without a second thought… that is, if they think at all.
Obama, please tell those single mothers that you worry so much about to marry before they start popping those young-uns.
I watched the whole sideshow, and my stomach is roiling with acid.

Yes. It was amazing to watch. The auto manufacturing promise was Orwellian. Is he going to force Ford to make ‘plug ins’? If he does how does he force Ford to make them here and not Singapore? Executive orders? What then, $250,000 cars?
