The DUers are hot on the culprit’s trail. For such a famously ‘Net-savvy operation, Team Barry’s sure having a rough week.

Update: Someone claiming to be the guy responsible showed up in the DU thread and said he supports Obama and will be turning it into an anti-McCain site. The domain’s vastly more valuable to Obama as a redirect to his smear debunking page; if he wants to help him, he should just turn it over.

Update: Ah, actually, the guy doesn’t say he’ll be replacing this site with the anti-McCain site, just that he’s planning on putting one up.

Update: The website owner removed the parody page and replaced it with porn so I’ve removed the link.

Hello, My name is Kevin. I go by the name Xclusive on the boards. I am not for Mccain and i’ve email Ms. Obama to let her know it was nothing personal. I made the joke to share with a few friends and never intended for it to go on the news. I’m a bit of a political junkie and i’m also a prankster by nature. I also love my country. I’ve slammed Bush anytime it was waranted and I am very sad that he’s ruined the country in many ways. So don’t think you know me by just a joke website. Someone claiming to be the creator of the site showed up on the DU(mmie) website assuring everyone that the site is just a joke, to make sure they knew how much he hated Bush for what he did to our country, and that a McCain version of the site would be up soon.

I mistakenly wrote fightthesmears.org and it looks just like the other site but they go directly to some shmuck named Rick Astley – a ghastly musical reject stuck in the 80s.

I just checked the .org site and it now has a YouTube vid of Wright/Obama connection…

I guess we can’t assume this guy is for Obama…

btw…I saw a report on one of the MS Media channels about this, and they had the .org site pulled up as a backdrop…you could see the Osama bin Laden quote at the top…it struck me as odd then…now I know what happened…

I don’t hide anything and the way they try and demonize me for exercising my 1st amendment rights. This site will be porn free in a day or so when I get the clean blog up and then you can judge me then. I am very protective of my rights and love my country. So come back then if you want to debate on anything i’m always up for the challenge. Thank you for all that have written me I’ll be answering my emails later gotta go have dinner with my family.
