they only cheer until they can no longer afford it. Most of these people think they will not be impacted by the higher gas prices. They have enough extra money to cover the increase. they know the vast “unwashed” masses don’t and therefore they want the price to go up. It gives them more power over people. When Al gore is riding a bike to work I’ll be all for higher prices too.

americans like their freedom of movement. they like being able to go to the store when they want to not when the bus comes. they like having room to live also in the suburbs. They do not like city life and escape it every chance they get.

Cheap energy is needed by the American people and we will kill every polar bear to get it. the environmental wackos are digging their own political grave by forcing gas higher.

If this keeps up, at this pace, we are headed not for recession or depression, but economic collapse.

Not in this this crazy Houston area. There are so many people running around this place that it is out of control. Construction, road expansions, new superstores, New subdivisions. The place will be wall to wall people soon.

I like it better when we could hunt, camp, and ride motorcycles whever we wanted. It’s like living in an ant bed around here now.

We need a sensible, small-government advocate with a clear consistent message, not a bloviating unelectable pedant who is so in love with government and in hearing his own voice.

And, of course, his global warming position is crap – a trojan horse for the Dems.

People such as my angry socialist college-professor brother-in-law cheer as prices rise. The Leftist desire for high gas prices drives me crazy.

I guess that’s like saying we can’t just breathe our way out of suffocating.

Exactly, its dark so we can’t just light a candle.

“Drill Here, Drill Now and Pay Less” does not put money directly into their pockets so they do not care.

But it is OK to sell it (rights to drill/explore) to the Chinese who will provide the politician the cash they feel entitled to. Special interest groups will take the money from the Chinese and put directly into the politicians coffers.

The Honorable Gingrich, a historian, will also remind us: Carter sold the Panama Canal to the Chinese, Clinton sought permission to turn over control of vital ports on the west coast to the Chinese, now Obombem wants the price of fuel to go higher but only on his terms.

Let’s take back our government and elect people we can trust and who will listen to their constituents vice consultants.

If the GOP had any guts at all they would make “Drill now” the #1 issue, run ads, etc. They would take back the House this year.

As you watch, bear one thing steadily in mind. We had a Republican president and a Republican Congress for six years, five of them post-9/11 when everyone could see very clearly where the revenue was going.

Yeah, and in the 70’s, 80’s, and part of the 90’s.

Yet, it was a Republican that created the monster known as the EPA.

But in spite of that commercial he’s still better than McCain on this issue.
