Video: “I’m voting Republican”

In the grand spirit of bipartisanship I offer this spank material to our three lefty readers. Combining the subtlety of that Republican Space Rangers cartoon from Grand Theft Auto IV with the evenhandedness of an average episode of Countdown with Keith Olbermann, it will, I trust, “get the job done.” Exit question for Paulnuts: Does this work for you too or is it borderline, like some sort of fetish video?

aengus, having suffered under Marxism, he may die again, and turn around in his grave. I’d rather the world never have heard of him, Engels and Lenin. May they rot in hell.

Public safety officer: “I’m voting Republican…[switch to closeup] because sometimes the Constitution is just one big inconvenient headache.” Gotta admit that was a pretty well delivered line. hahaha
That African American couple reminded me of this one [from the 80s movie Amazon Women on the Moon] Was mad at the filmmakers but laughed at this bit anyway.
But this whole thread’s got that movie beat. “I’m voting Democrat because…” You guys are too much. LOL

I do not think the specific character or personality of Clinton or Kerry is the issue here.
As the truly awful Mark Steyn said “Multiculuralism trumps everything”.
I think Kerry’s aesthetic appreciation for elements of European culture (fine cheese?) would be trumped in a nanosecond by his ideological commitment to liberalism and multiculuralism.
If the ideological principle of “equality” (comrade) was demonstrated to clearly mean the destruction of historic nations – and I don’t just mean European nations, I mean the US as well – then would he awaken in a flash of Lear-like sanity? I think not.
I think the Republican party is paradoxically more pro-European than the Democratic party (though perhaps not by much) because their loathing of Europeans is an issue of personal pride (”cheese-eating surrender monkeys” etc.) whereas the Democrats are ideologically committed to the De-Europeanisation of Europe and America.

Kristen Powers???
Granted, KP is solidly pro-life. But she is liberal on other issues, I think. And she supported Hillary Clinton.

Despicable people. Did you know that Engels was a factory owner who exploited his workers, paying them a pittance?

Hell, all the drugs they did in the 1960’s not only destroyed their brains but the dna which they passed on to their children who will have damaged brains for generations to come. That’s why they call them the libtards.

Would someone in the conservative media… ehem ehem Hotair…. please make a professionally produced response to this. It would be so easy. I vote Democrat because I want to lose in Iraq, I don’t think 39% income tax is enough, I like paying 18.4 cents to the federal government for every gallon of gasoline, I believe racial minorities are inferior and cannot succeed without affirmative action, I want the same government that built the levees in New Orleans to manage my healthcare, I think our foreign policy caused 9/11, etc. etc.

I was kind of surprised this came up as it’s been discussed. You can thank Joe McQuaid, the squish editor of the Manchester Union Leader and the NH semi-open, the SC open and Crist, the squish governor of Florida for rolling the McCain momentum along.
Here’s the CNN exit polls (except Iowa is an entrance poll). I’ve linked to the page listing ideology.
Iowa (closed caucus)
New Hampshire (semi-open, if you don’t have a specific party, you can vote for whom you please)
South Carolina (open)
Florida (closed, although there were reports of people given whichever ballot they wanted)

I am voting Democrat because I really enjoy living in a Sanctuary City. I love long waits in congested Emergency Rooms due to people using the ER for all of their free taxpayer-supported outpatient health care. As a matter of fact, these long waits in the ER lobby allowed me to finish my favorite book!!

That’s some plunge. I dislike and disagree with Mark Steyn’s political opinions. That doesn’t mean I’m condescending or some kind of snob.
He employs this tactic constantly so I’m not surprised you’ve picked it up from him i.e. If you are a European and disagree with the politics of Mark Steyn or George Bush then you are an elite, liberal snob sneering at the salt-of-the-earth unpretentious American folk. (The “unwashed masses”.)
Nice try but thats not a political argument. Its an appeal to a popular prejudice.
I’m an ordinary Irish person which is to say I’m about as sophisticated as a doorstop.
Even if I was an effete art dealer from Milan I doubt I would be intimated into changing my political opinions by you or Steyn based on class-conscious insults (”overeducated”).
You don’t even know what my political objections to Steyn are but you’ve already made up your mind. You’ve taken a “plunge”. Keep plunging, my friend.

Once again…my bad..
I like and agree with Mark Steyn’s opinions. Because I can think for myself without the help of a PolySci Professor or some SmaKTard that wrote a paper on Marx. I don’t think yer elite, I think you are a liberal/socialist ass hat that does not have the Common Sense of a Horse Turd.
Oh, and if you really are a European, what in the hell do you know about the ‘unpretentious American Folk’??? Didja watch it on TV???
BigWyo on June 11, 2008 at 10:33 PM
You like and agree with one person’s political opinions because you can think for yourself? That’s wonderful. I can also think for myself and disagree with Mark Steyn’s opinions.
As for the liberal/socialist asshat stuff huh? Have you even read this thread? I compared Marxism to slavery.
In your estimation anyone who does not agree with Mark Steyn’s opinions is automatically to the far left of him?
I’d ask you to stop insulting me and comparing me to horse feces.
The idea that anyone would comment on a blog like HotAir pretending to be a “European” knowing what a hail of insults and denunciations (coward, fascist) they would face is ridiculous.
You are very rude. I don’t like your tone.
No I read about it in Mark Steyn’s columns.

“I’m voting democrat because I’m dead.”
MattMacD on June 11, 2008 at 11:07 PM
Genius, I compared Marxism to slavery upthread. Agreeing with Mark Steyn is not a precondition of thinking for oneself. You are very insulting. Notice I disagree with you without referring to you as horse feces.
aengus on June 11, 2008 at 11:08 PM
Mission Accomplished…!!!
Ok…is disagreeing with yer sorry ass a precondition of thinking for myself???
BigWyo on June 11, 2008 at 11:19 PM

I’m voting Democrat because each one of their presidential candidates have had the courage to very pubicly and vehemently oppose the surge from the very beginning — and, recall that they did so at the very same time it was working! Ahhhhh . . . who could ever forget the foresight of Harry Reid declaring that the United States had lost the war? Or, Jack Murtha demanding that we immediately redeploy our troops . . . to Okinawa?
Each and every one of them successfully resisted the temptation (surely it was hard for some) to allow the reality of the situation on the ground to intrude with their ideological positions! But they did! And . . . imagine how agonizing it must have been to blatantly insist on the imposition of an outcome that would have utterly undercut our strategic position throughout the entire region? Now, that took gumption, no?
I especially have such a deep and abiding respect for their Presidential selection, Barack Obama, who, bless him, has consistently refused to go to Afghanistan — he’s never been there! Why should he go? He has the subcommittee he presides over that can tell him all about it!! And, he last visited Iraq way back in January of 2006. Facts . . . blaghhhhhh!
You know, maybe my age is showing a bit, somehow but it all reminds me a little of the proud Democrat insistence on supporting the nuclear freeze, at the very same time that Ronald Reagan and George Bush were working to outmanuver and bankrupt the Soviet regime.
Yes. I think Democrats should proudly bring all of these things up! In fact, I think the Democrats should present a series of mini-documentaries on their policies over the years at their convention.
They should start with one entitled Celebrating the Jimmy Carter Years.

Entelechy’s “tantrumed kid” is right. Whew. You keep talking to him as if he were an adult; it’s pretty obvious you’re the one acting like one. Nice job keeping your cool in the face of the repeated provocations.
