Video: E.D. Hill apologizes for the “terrorist fist jab” intro
posted at 4:21 pm on June 10, 2008 by Allahpundit
Curiouser and curiouser: The terrorist angle appears to have come from a comment left on one of Cal Thomas’s columns at Human Events that was then subsequently deleted. Why the script writer would have thought to rescue that from obscurity is beyond me. And even if you impute the worst motives to him, why he thought he’d be able to get away with it with media watchdogs monitoring Fox 24/7 is stranger still.
Ah well. Too late to save E.D.’s show, alas.

Geez, she’s stupid.
playblu on June 10, 2008 at 4:24 PM
I’m surprised they acknowledged it. And yeah, I knew what the situation was and that it wasn’t her making the claim, still an odd choice for a teaser.
Typhonsentra on June 10, 2008 at 4:25 PM
Honestly, I really doubt her show cancellation had anything to do with these comments. Fox constantly revamps their afternoon schedule and she has had numerous jobs with the network, it’s just time she moves on to another one.
Ian on June 10, 2008 at 4:29 PM
Who cares, for a 47 year old woman she is still smokin’.
cat-scratch on June 10, 2008 at 4:31 PM
How many kids?! Wow.
Jaibones on June 10, 2008 at 4:33 PM
Can’t stand E.D. Hill. I quit watching Fox & Friends years ago because she got on my freakin’ nerves!
Smokin’ hot? Not so much.
robblefarian on June 10, 2008 at 4:34 PM
E.D. is not stupid.
Michelle on June 10, 2008 at 4:35 PM
Wasn’t it the Van Buren Boys gang sign they did?
BL@KBIRD on June 10, 2008 at 4:36 PM
Blessed coup de grace
LimeyGeek on June 10, 2008 at 4:37 PM
Damn!
Are we going to lose blonde legs?
White blonde legs are all what Fox News is about.
That’s it, I’m going back to Jerry Springer again to get my news.
Indy Conservative on June 10, 2008 at 4:42 PM
I have always liked E.D. Hill. I suspect she was just too old for ol’ Fox News. They like them younger. Check out their on-air celebrities and tell me I’m wrong.
Oink on June 10, 2008 at 4:43 PM
Correct. She’s hosted some very good programs on terrorist cells.
Connie on June 10, 2008 at 4:44 PM
Good for her owning up. Shoulda known better, though.
SouthernDem on June 10, 2008 at 4:45 PM
agree, she’s my favorite talking head at FOX
.
leave ED alone!!!
abinitioadinfinitum on June 10, 2008 at 4:46 PM
There are very few female FNC staff that I don’t find irritating, squawky and shrill. Their reliance on ‘eye-candy’ has been painful to witness.
LimeyGeek on June 10, 2008 at 4:47 PM
So, it appears a lot of you think she is a terrible host/stupid… but it is OK because she is hot/blonde/legs etc. This is an intelligent blog until there is ANY video of a female then it all turns to slime. Nice.
Hunt035 on June 10, 2008 at 4:49 PM
From someone who knows her. She is a Texan, I believe. That makes her impossible to be stupid. Ok, I am biased a bit.
carbon_footprint on June 10, 2008 at 4:50 PM
I personally think she is intelligently hot!
abinitioadinfinitum on June 10, 2008 at 4:53 PM
E.D. Hill is the smokingest, hottest mother of 12 on this Earth!
TheSitRep on June 10, 2008 at 4:57 PM
The title for this thread should be
blogging E.D. opinions that have NOTHING to do with E.D. Hill apologizes for the “terrorist fist jab” intro
Hunt035 on June 10, 2008 at 5:02 PM
TWELVE? WTF? Does she have an industrial uterus?
LimeyGeek on June 10, 2008 at 5:02 PM
I don’t understand we people have to apologise because someone misunderstood them. Isn’t it the misunderstander’s place to do the apologising?
- The Cat
P.S. Me likes the E.D. Hill.
MirCat on June 10, 2008 at 5:03 PM
I rest my case.

Fox is always apologizing when people get offended. Britt Hume apologized about a month ago for one of the “funny endings” to his program; the bit was from Letterman, I believe, and was slamming Hillary. So Britt got hate mail and apologized for reshowing what Late Night had already shown previously. Double standards….they exist.

I’ve always liked E.D. Hill. I wish she would’ve stayed on Fox & Friends.
If the CBS Evening News was really serious about increasing their ratings, they’d fire Katie Couric and put E.D. Hill on instead.
Gilda on June 10, 2008 at 5:13 PM
Ron Bergundy. She’ll say whatever comes on the screen.
VolMagic on June 10, 2008 at 5:14 PM
A stupid statement from an otherwise bright (and very attractive) woman. And, a real apology to boot! None of that, “I’m sorry if you were offended…” crap that we get from Obama and his ilk.
HotJavaJack on June 10, 2008 at 5:17 PM
E.D. is the smartest person at Foxnews. She is terrific and I wish they would give her the 10:00 PM slot that the ultra-left wing Greta now has.
georgealbert on June 10, 2008 at 5:22 PM
E.D. Was a delight on “Fox and Freinds” and one of the
best on Fox’s station. America’s Pulse ia (was) a treat
and she did some great work on specials that exposed
the Jihadist, Terrorists, Al-Qaeda, Muslin gangsters
or whatever the damn term they’re now called.
Yes, She is smoking hot and a Texan.
Good Luck E.D.
Texyank on June 10, 2008 at 5:23 PM
haha, i just caught that episode about 2 weeks ago.

Obama can go pound sand. He’s a token , A puppet ,
I don’t beleive for a minute that he’s bright enough to
get were he is because of his talent or lack of.
He’s got handlers and a country full of white guilt suckers
just slobbering over him.
We’re screwed.
Texyank on June 10, 2008 at 5:30 PM
ummm, Greta?
Or do you count her as a man?
mattshu on June 10, 2008 at 5:32 PM
LimeyGeek, get with the program.
Entelechy on June 10, 2008 at 5:34 PM
Just another reason Michelle rocks: Calling out playblu.
Spirit of 1776 on June 10, 2008 at 5:44 PM
Mircat and carbon_footprint, you nailed it. Double standard, absolutely. And a “hearer” has total responsibility what he/she does with what he/she hears. Blows it off or gets all puffed up/red faced/smoke out the ears offended and goes off in a huff with hurt feelings. Simple. Especially if the hearer has no personal relationship with the offending speaker.
Roger Brown on June 10, 2008 at 5:47 PM
BTW, I agree, absolutely smokin’ gorgeous E. D. is. Wow. Lovely face, lovely legs. Double wow. Could drive me to get satellite TV…I live in a rural area, no cable…what have I been missing?
Roger Brown on June 10, 2008 at 5:50 PM
Not much really, aside from mostly two or three people shouting over each other, being interrupted, being cut off due to hard-programmed commercials, a bunch of giggling beauties (this might matter to you), insufferable FOX contributors, from both sides of the isle, and yes, occasinally something thoughtful and intelligent.
You wonder why on earth I still have it – it creates good background noise, and occasionally does inform.
Enjoy your tranquility.

MSNBC will probably give A.M. a rise and a bonus for her
smart-a$$ remarks.

Not when you realize the most likely interpretation of what you said is quite insulting. I think she handled this perfectly.
It’s too comon a belief in America right now that just because you oppose a person (or a group) it is acceptable to treat them poorly.
Wrong is wrong no matter how much you disagree with someone’s politcs.
12thman on June 10, 2008 at 6:02 PM
You of all people should know that “stupid” is the go-to ad hominem of choice for sophomoric men who want to belittle an attractive woman’s opinion.
Last week several commenters were labeling another Fox talking head “stupid” – despite her degrees from places like Oxford.
Unfortunately, to many men, regardless of politics, attractive + opinionated + female = “stupid.”
As you – also unfortunately – well know.
I apologize for my gender.
Professor Blather on June 10, 2008 at 6:12 PM
Apparently E.D is the cure for a lot of E.D. on this board…
radjah shelduck on June 10, 2008 at 6:13 PM
May I associate the word “terrorist” with Senator Obama and his wife?
uptight on June 10, 2008 at 6:21 PM
Welcome to men gatherings.
freevillage on June 10, 2008 at 6:25 PM
Indeed, but there are exceptions, even if not “stupid”
Michelle Obama:
- attractive, to some, check
- opinionated, triple-check
- female, check
- “stupid”, on occasion yes, other times no
In other words, it depends on the combination of brains, looks, attitude, and common sense.
p.s. may your gender never change.
Entelechy on June 10, 2008 at 6:43 PM
No thank you. Whatever ‘the program’ is. ;-)
LimeyGeek on June 10, 2008 at 6:56 PM
Quoi?
A degree from Oxford does not make a woman (or man) smart any more than skipping high school makes you dumb. Some of the dumbest people I know hold PhD’s.

This thread is further proof that there are some people that just like to attack others.

wined, dinned and just about given an “O” by the
media on all counts. He can go pound sand.

Did I mention that I find her not unattractive?

You’re always a joy, April. Thanks for living down to our expectations.

I always liked Kiran Chetry, whom CNN grabbed from Fox. Now, she’s intelligent, funny, and brunette. Don’t know why Fox let her get away and kept that annoying Gretchen somebody.
Sloan Morganstern on June 11, 2008 at 6:01 AM
All:
That is all the left wants us to do so they can claim a media victory. Let’s stop apologizing for the problems the left has with reality.
The left will never apologized for creating a socialist state where you have no rights unless they grant them to you. All they want you to do is comply with their PC world.
