Mccain knows enough to not make the fatal mistake of putting Miss Palin on the ticket.

He already knows that evangelicals are threatening to vote Constitution Party/Chuck Baldwin..Mccain has to put Mike Huckabee on the ticket or the republican party will fall apart.

Well, the real clip doesn’t exist because it’s kinda hard to wait for a camera when someone’s choking…though I’m sure he tried.

And I’m equally sure that you’re full of crap. The difference between your “sureness” and mine is that yours is based on idle speculation while mine is based on having been there. Neither Huckabee nor anyone else at the luncheon did anything to call attention to his actions. Huckabee could easily have worked a reference to the incident into his speech, but he didn’t. We all knew something had happened because they had asked if there was a doctor in the house, and then promptly assured us all that everything was OK. Beyond that, anyone whose table wasn’t adjacent to the stage probably left the luncheon without knowing who had choked, who had saved him, or even that the event was a choking. I didn’t know myself until I read about it in the news today.

A brief search of the name “Huckabee” in my archives will make it clear to any reader that I’m about as far from a Huckhead as they get. Nevertheless, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Huck did the right thing, and in no way attempted to exploit it. Anyone who suggests otherwise is arguing from a position of ignorance.

Evangelicals can easily spot a fraud like Huckabee. Just because he went to seminary doesn’t mean he is a evangelical no matter how many times he repeats it (reminds me of McCain’s constant and increasingly annoying lie that he is a conservative).

Palin’s problem has nothing to do with gender. Nobody knows who she is. McCain needs to “man up” and get a running mate acceptable the majority of the party that he has alientated by his liberal dogma.
