As for whether this is a surprising hit piece by CNN, I say, not really, because it also serves a purpose of showing that Barry is tough and clever. I think we are meant to infer that if he can handle Alice Palmer he can handle Iran.

A little history lesson to keep in mind for when Obama and the Democrats start levying charges about voter disenfranchisement.  The money quote: “The rules are there for a reason.”  Let’s see if the Dems are still singing that tune …

This was a political tactic on CNN’s part, pure and simple. Their objective: to innoculate themselves against the charge that their coverage favors Obama. So they broadcast a single critique of Obama’s campaign focusing on the least controversial aspect of his rise to power (“He once had his opponents kicked off the ballots because they hadn’t followed the rules in obtaining the right signatures? Quelle horreur!“).

Then they pick a low-level flunky reporter to broadcast the story, ensuring that the story will fly under the MSM radar (“Let’s not give this one to Wolf.”)

Finally, just to play it safe, CNN airs that piece when Obama’s already got the nomination wrapped up so it’ll do him the least amount of damage.

Sorry, but I’m not buying.

Does this mean that Obama may find a post-Hillary race a little more challenging than they may have expected?

No, no it doesn’t. Let’s not kid ourselves: Come Labor Day, CNN will be fully on-board the Messiah Express.

Obama uses people.

I know it cuts against the concern a lot of us have about some of his unsavory associations, but is it possible he just uses people (Wright/TUCC congregation, Ayers, Palmer, etc.) as stepping stones and doesn’t really believe in anything except his own ambition?
