"Asked about onetime friends who had abandoned her, she said, with a note of resignation in her voice, "That happens in politics." Yea, some of the Clinton buddies had to flee the country to avoid litigation and some died in jail and others committed 'suicide' or died suddenly. Poor HillyBilly.

As for the first poster: There probably was widespread drive- by groping, at least. Just wait 'til he resorts to dropping his drawers for attention.

I was just talking to my husband (a Democrat who supported Obama - not because he is an Obamaniac, but because he is anti-Clinton) about this the other night. We agreed that the whole point of Hillary's campaign was to erase the stain that Bill left. It was painfully obvious from the start that she really didn't have a good reason why she wanted to be President.

It also became obvious that the Clintons as a team were only successful when they had a foil - an enemy they could rally their troops to defeat. Bill was on his way to becoming irrelevant as President until Newt Gingrich came a long and gave him a foil. Hillary didn't find her groove in this campaign until she found a way to run against Obama. These two NEVER had a positive reason why they should be running the country.

I feel badly for the folks of NY state who are saddled with her for the next few decades as she supplants Ted Kennedy for behind the scenes leadership of the Senate. We won’t have HClintoon to kick around anymore nationally. Her Senate seat was supposed to be a stepping stone to the Oval office, and now it has become her prison; she’s been moved to the back of the bus.

Doug on June 8, 2008 at 11:33 PM

Tks. That's nice. I'm one of them. But realize two things: She has had NO effect or presence here at all, in spite of ostensibly living in NY and being our Senator. She is and has been completely MIA. Secondly, the majority of the wacked-out libs in NYC and it's suburbs either voted for her twice for Senator and still LOVE her, or hate her only because they got someone younger and darker to love.

Please don't feel sorry for NY. Tough love is what it needs, a 10 step program. They haven't even started on step 1, and probably never will.

So when Gina Gershon replies "ewww!" when linked to Bill by Vanity Fair, does that make her cooler?

I think it's lovely that the star of BOUND and SHOWGIRLS draws the line at Clenis.

Hillary spanked Obama hardest in places where Bill campaigned. Beyond the right wing, people like Bill Clinton and he would easily win in another election.

I am suddently moving into a place in time where I don't care about the Clintons one frigging bit. I think they
have been fatally wounded. Going forward they will be nothing more than a hemorroid on the body politic, but that is about all. There sycophants may still be swooning about the fall of the royal couple but I think they will begin to fade , much as the stain from Monica dress. I know some people who never graduated from high school, have manual labor jobs, and are ten times the humans these scumbags are and have probably contributed more to the well being of this country than the Billary has cumulitive over the last year. We gotta to put these two behind us and soon.

The visual that accompanies this exchange is priceless.

Picture BJ, red-faced and grinning: "See honey. What would you do without me?"

Picture Hillary, <strike>laughing</strike> cackling, with a half-hearted plastic smile. Under her breath: "You useless, grinning idiot, would you please, please shut the hell up?"

I'd like to see the list "the places he had been and Hillary hadn’t been", and compare them with an increase in the reported cases of rapes. Slick might be up to the same old games.

On election night, Mr. Clinton grew <strike>playfully</strike> painfully competitive with his wife over who had done more events or had had more impact on loosing her campaign , Mr. Rendell said.

Looks better.

Too bad she couldn't take this all the way to August..... or can she... hmmmm?

From the NYT piece:

The tensions fed a sense of defiance within the campaign. The Friday before Memorial Day, an aide was dispatched to the New York offices of People magazine to dispute a single word attributed to Mr. Clinton that left an impression of female frailty. The magazine quoted him saying Chelsea Clinton “bawled” after her mother’s loss in Iowa; the campaign said that Ms. Clinton had not cried and maintained that he had said “appalled.” The quotation stood.

Bawled--appalled--mauled--caterwauled--whatever.

I will definitely not miss the Clinton penchant for parsing words and flat-out lying.

Good riddance, for a while, at least.

“The former-impeached-disbared-lying-traitorist-rapist Ex-president wanted to know exactly what the returns were in the places he had been and Hillary hadn’t been,” Mr. Rendell said. “He kept showing Hillary, and she would laugh.”

Fixed it for ya.......... pay attention next time.
