Obama community blogs bring hope, change to enemies of “Jewish lobby”; Update: Post disappeared

Via Israel Matzav, enjoy this while it lasts because soon the only trace of that nifty “Jew Senator Lieberman” graphic that accompanies it will be in Google’s cache. Not an isolated incident either, as Charles Johnson helpfully notes.

Another day, another constituency laboring under the assumption that Barry O’s not a true blue Zionist at heart. For all his vaunted communication skills, the poor guy seems to be surrounded by people who misunderstand him, and vice versa — Wright, Pfleger, Rezko, critics of Israel. What’s a rhetorical genius have to do to get the people who know him and love him best to take him seriously?

Update: Not only is the post gone, but Charles says they’ve gone the extra mile and taken measures to scrub it from the Google cache and Internet archive too. (How is that possible?) Note to self: Next time you see something like this at Obama HQ, be sure to screencap. Luckily, Charles was way ahead of me.

Update: Spring cleaning comes late as a Truthers for Obama post gets flushed.

Here’s a clip of The Decemberists using the Soviet anthem as intro music. They don’t actually sing it, they play it over the speakers.

Marxists/Socialists/Communists for Obama

This group is for self-proclaimed Marxists/Communists/Socialists for the election of Barack Obama to the Presidency. By no means is he a true Marxist, but under Karl Marx’s writings we are to support the party with the best interests of the mobilization of the proletariat. Though the Democratic Socialists of America or the Communist Patty of America may have more Socialististic values, it is pointless to vote for these candidates due to the fact that there is virutally no chance they will be elected on a National level. The members of this group are not Leninists, Stalinists, etc. and do not support or condone the actions of North Korea, China, Cuba or any other self-procalimed “Marxist States.” They do not in anyway represent the Marxist philosophy nor do they represent Socialism/ Communsim. We support Barack Obama because he knows what is best for the people!

It is time for US to dissarm Israel out of its 300 Nuclear Bombs. Ron Paul said that the real danger in the middle east is Israel. Not to mention the 3 billion dollars a year from our tax dollars

Iran must be our friend, not our enemy, whatever Bill O’rilley, Glenn Beck and the corporate media whores claim. They won’t be presidents of the USA. You will be the president, and i have faith indeed that you would change Washington, DC indeed

Iran doesn’t have any nuclear weapons, but nuclear energies.

Thanks and i hope you listen to my humble opinions about the fascist state of Israel and what we should do about it

I had some fun with that one. The group’s administrator, Adam Roberts, has some VERY interesting views. My favorite has to be his liking toward the FairTax:

This issue destroys class and party lines. It simply logic to endorse something like this, and a National Candidate like Obama would be the best to endorse it.

Wasn’t the Huckster the only candidate to endorse that crapload of a plan?

malan89 on June 8, 2008 at 7:41 PM

In all fairness weren’t those crazy anti-semetic posts written by some Far Right loon?

As a jew I fear them more, the Far Right nutjob who favors Ron Paul and posts at Stormfront - that’s the real enemy of Israel. Or the Hagees of the world who need us to make their crazy spell/recipe work.

2 parts jew to 1 part red heifer….

I just read Charles’ post and what he doesn’t mention is that anyone can set up a blog there, even someone wishing to discredit Obama, like the Black Panther story that flew through the Conservative blogosphere a few months back.

I even emailed several bloggers in the spirit of being fair and balanced and asked them to amend it on their blog posts, i.e., that was obviously posted anonomously by some rabble rouser unbeknowst to the Obama campaign. I suspect someone from the Clintons or some Far Right Fringe loon did it. Both are notorious for this kind of behavior.

If you aren’t going to be fair to our opponents, well then you’re mean spirited and will garner enough bad karma to put you in a bad place, and you probably deserve it.

God is watching.

The point is, these are the people supporting his candidacy. These are the beliefs/policies backed by the people that may put BO in office. He will be accountable to these nutjobs. We’re not attributing these beliefs to him, but pointing out that these are the beliefs of his supporters.

Did Ron Paul actually say that? I knew he was a truther but I didn’t know he was that much of a nutball. I take back everything nice I ever said about Ron Paul….. which isn’t much.

What on earth is unfair about calling attention to content on the website of a Candidate for President of the United States?

Barack Obama is trying this new-fangled “community” experiment. Fairness, and karma, is letting the chips fall where they may.

There have been posters here at HA that have posted craziness to make this site look looney and because AP monitors it they are pulled and the posters banned.

After the Black Panther deal they were supposed to have people monitoring. Foxnews.com didn’t monitor the post about the Black Panters and left it up foolishly, and they took a whacking for that.

AprilOrit on June 8, 2008 at 8:20 PM

I really doubt that this guy was thinking about sabotage. Read his other posts. He’s passionate about getting BO elected. He was a PaulBot before (as all troofers were) and is supporting Obama because of the War and what he believes is Obama’s ability to deal with the “Jew lobby”.

There is a HUGE difference between monitoring the entire internet and monitoring the content that appears on YOUR website next to YOUR official campaign HQ. This is a concept that seems to be WAY above your head. It would be like comparing opposition to a local law banning yard signs to a person objecting to other people putting yard signs on their yard. They’re completely different.

I can almost guarantee you that 95% of those anti-Semitic Obama supporter postings are completely serious and genuine. It’s very obvious that you don’t spend time in an urban area (which isn’t a bad thing, in fact, it’s probably a good thing). Yep, read all your posts…it’s his site, controlled by his campaign…this stuff has been up for weeks…what is the point of having a campaign site when you allow your opponents to post anything on it, no matter how discrediting it may be, with no checks or moderation? Even if this somehow like totally-not-his-supporters-who-he-agrees-with, what happened is actually not better…he opens a web-site where he allows rabit anti-semites to post whatever they want for weeks on end…and nobody notices? What fantastic judgement the guy has, eh? Boy, I would certainly trust a guy like that with my country.

But, funny how this sort of matches a pattern with him…like he attends a church by a race-baiting, anti-american screaming hate-monger for 20 years before he notices that there are some things being said there, that he may not actually agree with (once everybody else noticies)….hrmmmmmm

Dude, I’m not sure what you’re even trying to argue here… That a good portion of the activists among Obama’s supporters think these things is not really in question. These kinds of crazy posts go up all the time at Huffpo, Kos, and DU, so it’s not as though this “smear” would be out of the clear blue sky.

The issue here isn’t that Obama’s leftist supporters are infested with the latest forms of antisemitism: everybody pretty much knows that. It’s really that Obama apparently doesn’t know how to reign in that constituency, much less “heal them” of their racial woes. It’s also evidence that Obama can’t manage to run a website, much less the office of chief executive.

Lehosh on June 8, 2008 at 8:53 PM

Even IF the posters weren’t his supporters (see my earlier post on why they probably are supporters), doesn’t the fact that he allow the statements to appear on his official campaign website for a few weeks imply some sort of endorsement of those statements?

Aprilorit,

This is all you need to know about Obama:

http://www.noi.org/

Front page of Nation of Islam website…“Mischief making should not dampen support of Obama”.

Basically..We’re just trying to fool the white devils..continue supporting The Dragon.

SaintOlaf on June 8, 2008 at 8:57 PM

Now you know the deal, you know that I do not support Obama, so stop. You know both my sister and my twin brother do, we’ve been over this many times.

I support McCain, who unfortunately we established already - is as hated here.

AprilOrit on June 8, 2008 at 9:00 PM

Obama is not involved with the Black Panters, that has already been debunked.

Again, that was an anon posting on his blog, there is no valid proof he was involved with The New Black Panters.

I understand that the legitimate blogger censorship practice leaves the comment box vacant with the blog’s notice that the comment was removed by the owner’s discretion–blog owners who remove all evidence of any comment are weenies who would remove their own grandma’s tombstone leaving the grave unmarked.

BHO tallies another toss under the bus hit and run.
Ol’ Hit and Run Bonehead Hobama about to be rewarded for his obtuse liberal gullibility and ignorance with the
DNC nomination to run for POTUS, to represent the Machine that refuses to recognize you and me.

DNC: The party that revises and destroys the records on everything from the Constitution, to Rule of Law, to the successes of our nation internationally and domestically based upon our own sovereign policies, to weather, to the time of day (daylight savings “to help the farmers” who get up before sunrise regardless of what the clock says), to show what THEY spent our social security income tax on leaving us without funds as we approach retirement age, platform flip flops every DNC election, etc., etc., etc.

So the three things we can all count on in common?
1. Birth–not so with abortion
2. Taxes–your entire income won’t satiate the DNC Socialists
3. Death–but your name will continue to appear after votes are counted.

The party of corruption is the DNC.

Look you are not being fair.

Leftwing loons do this stuff to John McCain all the time and I’m sick of it. I am sick of the behavior and i will not stoop to the same.

You guys are no better. You should be ashamed.

Yes, you are correct, left-wing loons try to do this to McCain all of the time…except McCain doesn’t have a website with anti-semites by the hundreds posting on it, and a lot of other questionable supporters to boot…not that that stops them. Of course, notice how nobody in the MSM has managed to notice any of this…think that would be the case if this stuff turned up on McCain’s site?

AUINSC on June 8, 2008 at 9:03 PM

Surely, Obama has a paid staffer who checks his website each and every day — probably every hour. These views are absolutely acceptable and unremarkable to Sen. Obama and his staff. And YET, the vast majority of the nation’s Jews will vote for him. The American Jews’ support for leftist anti-Israel (and increasingly anti-Semitic) politicians is a mystery no one has ever been able to explain to me. Truthfully, it makes me sad. That you would go out and vote for people who despise you. Who attend churches that despise you. Who associate with people who despise you and think you’re evil. Who want to break bread with tyrants who want to kill you. I will never, ever understand it.

Someone asked that in a thread a while back, and I kept the response for this occasion:

___________________________________________________________

As a Jewish person it is very hard to explain in a few sentences why Jewish
people vote overwhelmingly Democratic. The simplest way to explain it is
this.

1) A millennia of genocidal hatred of Jews from Christian Europe, plus
Christians trying to convert Jews.

2) Jewish people (even though I don’t like to admit) started the socialist
movement we see today. Jewish people were at the forefront of unions and
everything that involves equality since Jewish were discriminated against in
Europe and here in America until 50 years ago.

3) Education is very important to Jewish people so supporting educational
causes in any form are important.

4) I could go on but I wont. Israel, until the 2000 intifada the Democrats
of all shapes and sizes were behind Israel it wasn’t until the last few
years that the tide is turning in the party. It’s there and Jewish people
besides myself know it, but most people choose to ignore it.

That is the simplest way of explaining it. Their is a slow turn, but it’ll
take time. But Jewish people will never totally leave the Democratic party,
too many ideals that were started by Jews are the foundation of the party so
at best the Republican party will never get a majority unless the Democratic
party completely comes hostile to Israel

RushBaby on June 8, 2008 at 9:10 PM

Why would anyone who wasn’t supporting him read his book?

AprilOrit on June 8, 2008 at 9:10 PM

Barak Hussein Obama; a man who:

- writes in his book “Dreams…” that one of the early (high school) major influences in his life was “Frank” (generally agreed to be a member of the American Communist Party);

- worked as a community organizer before and after attending Harvard Law school

- did advocacy work in Chicago after graduating from Harvard (this job fits a profile);

- has been a friend of William Dohrn (a failed bomber and member of the Weathermen) for 15+ years;

- launched his political career from Dohrn’s home, and with Dohrn’s support and approval (we’ve all seen the recent picture of Dohrn trampling on the American flag);

- is found to have one campaign (for his Presidential Campaign) office prominently displaying a large poster of Che (~… Don’t shoot. I’m worth more alive than dead …) Guevara, and a Cuban flag, yet does little;

- appears to have had links to FARC; we’ll see once the captured laptop data is published;

(Q1: what possible interest could FARC have in Chicago?
Q2 Why would BHO, a local politician, have any links to FARC?)

- has numerous links (e.g., reciprocal fundraisers) for various operatives who support the PLO, Hamas, etc.;

- has a 20-year mentorship under one J. Wright, anti-American racist-in-charge of TUCC;

- obtained a $1.6 $1.9 $2.6million house with the aid of one T. Rezko: convicted fraudster, etc.;

- distances himself from Wright, Rezko and others (in the case of Wright, after a discussion many months previous), but only after such relationships become public knowledge AND the public then asks questions;

- expects that formal, lecture-style separations from previous (decades-long) associations, and claims of ignorance of the truth about the other parties (again, after 10+ years), are sufficient;

and takes no notice (directly or via policy to his webmasters) of Marxist/Communist/Socialist rants, anti-Jewish diatribes, Black Panther garbage (and probably other stuff, not yet found).

Then when someone else discovers it and publicizes makes a discovery, the response is to “disappear” the discovery.

No explanation, not even a

“…those aren’t the Marxists / Communists / Socialists / Pol-Pot bloodhounds / Kim Jong Il (the Well-Fed yet Short) apparatchiks / Jew-haters / (fill-in-the blank) I knew”

replacement webpage.

All is then supposed to be well in the Obamanation.

Not buying.

It’s time to hold BHO responsible for his past, his associations and his current actions.

We need a President who is qualified and who leads, not one who requires a mentor / teleprompter to function and must be watched at all times, like a 4-year-old child.

Twenty years of hearing the rantings of an absolute lunatic racist and anti-Semite like Wright has left Obama with an impression of Israel. You can believe that. I have good idea of where Wright, and his Church stand. Maybe Obama is a true Wright believer, or he is just a coward. We will see. I am hoping he is just a coward who refused to confront Wright. I do not understand how there is always someone ready to defend the undefendable Obama. Maybe I need to see him in jeans more.

Don’t read Obama’s book.
Read James Cone’s
Black Theology and Black Power (1969, ISBN 1-57075-157-9)
and his follow-up
A Black Theology of Liberation (1970, ISBN 0-88344-685-5)
Then you’ll understand Trinity UCC, Wright and Obama’s primary influences.
I grew up in the projects and these books were Holy Scripture to the Panthers I had to deal with daily.
