Video: Boos and cheers as Hillary endorses Obama

Six-plus minutes for your enjoyment/disgust, the first half of which are devoted to praising His Holy Name. Mark Hemingway was there and was struck by the booing, but you don’t have to take his word for it; it’s clearly audible here, sufficiently so that even more leftish commentators felt moved to acknowledge it. Still not convinced? Just follow LGF’s link to Hillary’s website and scroll through some of the comments. He’s not overselling it when he calls them “amazing.” And after Obama went and posted such a flattering web graphic, too.

The second half is the hear-me-roar material, without which this extended identity politics orgy of a campaign wouldn’t have been complete. I think she means it, though: Watch her facial expressions and the emphatic little nods, which seemed to me authentic and almost unconscious. Hillary 2012: Woman Warrior? We shall meet again, oh yes.

I leave you with this image as the exclamation point on her campaign. May it live in your heart as it will, forever, in mine.

Well, she did what she had to do in public to remain viable for 2012 in the Democratic Party. Whether or not the truck with all of the Clintons’ opposition research against Obama somehow breaks down in front of the RNC headquarters between now and Labor Day remains to be seen.

You, AP, are absolutely amazing:

Hillary 2012: Woman Warrior? We shall meet again, oh yes (in the voice of Hustler Magazine’s Larry Flynt).

I leave you with this image as the exclamation point on her campaign. May it live in your heart as it will, forever, in mine.

Yeah I don’t trust what people say on the internet. It seems to magnify problems. A few months ago I was reading so much pro-Obama stuff from commentators on the internet that I thought he was going to win every state in the primary. Are there some Hillary supporters that will go to McCain? Sure, but the internet is not a good indicator of just how many. That is yet to be determined.

The superdelegates may rethink the idea that women are easier to win back then blacks. The thing about pissing off a woman, is you’ve pissed off a woman. Hell hath no fury my friends.

Sarah Palin looms on the horizon… Hillary better watch her back.

And with her voice I could see her doing very well in MN.. :}

Chakra Hammer on June 7, 2008 at 3:32 PM

1. She only “suspended”
2. She never smiled.
3. The “I worked with Sen. Obama for 4 years” was utter BS.
4. and most important, Obama was not standing next to her.

This was/remains all about Hillary.

It ain’t over yet. Last nail is still not hin her coffin.

The internet is grassroots people that care enough to vent and vote and donate and volunteer. The people that would have come out in the general for Hillary are far less likely to do so for Obama. His campaign cannot harness their energy, their support, or their enthusiasm. He is at a disadvantage with the white women most likely to vote, internet comments or not.

Forgot to add

5. She didn’t hand over her delegats to Obama (not needed for now but will be circus in Denver)

I switched my party to vote for her in the PA primary, because I believed she would defend America and that Barack Obama will not. I understand that she has to endorse Obama. It’s the trouble with the two party system. Still, it makes me ill to see her endorsing the Messiah of the foreign policy of suicide.

None of you think that Hillary could ever have made that speech endorsing Obama without help from me now do you? I had to give her an IV push of lithium at maximum non-lethal does just minutes before she went on stage.

Sigy on June 7, 2008 at 3:45 PM

I notice that I misspelled dose. I may have inhaled some of the lithium myself as I was preparing her dose.

Sigy on June 7, 2008 at 3:48 PM

McCain needs to nominate a woman, Palin, Sue Myrick…

the Dems have 5 months to get the Dems back in Tribal order, atleast 90% of hillary supporters will end up voting for her. Its the moderate women to go after, and they aren’t commenting on hillary.com

I love the “He has lived the American dream - as a community organizer…”

We used to say, “He has wasted his life - as a ne’erdowell…”

Hillary has pulled a Mitt (and, reaching further back, a Reagan - she’ll work that reference in next time). I would rather see both of them as the candidates of their respective parties.

Sorry Hill, but its clear that the Democratic Party was not ready for a woman.

Saltysam on June 7, 2008 at 4:19 PM

Community Organizer? Isn’t that how Vladimir Lenin got started in “politics”?

Stalin was a thug and a murderer before he got interseted in “politics”.

We need Obama right now like Great Britian needed Neville Chamberlain. As history recorded, Neville negotiated one hell of a treaty with Hitler. Obama is bush league, no pun, not worldly wise and believes too much of his own press. He has never had to build a business, meet a payroll or produce a useful product. That type of “social experiment” is a dangerous one.

Something less than an endorsement from Mrs. Bill Clinton, carpetbagger, accomplished perjuror, career socialist, inside trader and very polished grifter. What the hell, I reckon that it is appropriate for a punk assed racist marxist not quite dry behind the ears freshman Senator from the Chicago Politics Venue. His friends are as dirty as the criminals that the Clintons Pardoned.

It was less than entertaining to watch Hillary rally the loons today. They were raving and drooling fools.

Michelle Obama is not proud of her country. I am thouroughly ashamed that those clowns are Americans!

Nuff said. I am going to fire up the grill and throw on some steaks, drink some old scotch that is old enough to vote and get that bad taste out of my mouth from listening Hillary Rodham Anti-Christ beat the drum for Obama.

I will have a check in the mail for McCain on Monday.
Fred Thompson was my first choice but he did not want to pursue it. John is the lesser of all evils. He needs support.

Dangerous times require taking acceptable risks so I will support McCain over the 2nd Term of Jimmy Carter!

In my case, none other than LI in the Mendeleev table (which I once knew by heart), the lightest metal…something to do with the Big Bang. In pharmacology it is used as a mood stabilizing drug.

However, I have never taken it, or any mind-altering drugs, and don’t know what they look like or smell, if you’d run them by me. I’m naturally a bit high.

terryannonline on June 7, 2008 at 4:07 PM

Yes, but it won’t matter. Not as long as he does it first. I’m really pulling for Palin now. She’s young, smart, an executive, and she’s got some good sense about her on drilling and polar bears.

If McCain puts her on the ticket, then what he does is make Barry look like–if he puts a woman on his ticket (say Selebius)– that he felt he had to.

If, however, Barry does it first, then McCain is just copying. There’s some real resonance McCain can make by doing this. But he’s got to do it now.

2012 is a pipe dream. If she goes to the mat for Obama, he’ll probably win. If she doesn’t go the mat for him, she probably takes some share of the blame for his loss and will have that hanging around her neck in 2012.

You’d been trying to take control of everything
but that dream of yours has come to an end
Hey woman, you threw the crap
cos you had nothing else to use
That was a dead end road that lead nowhere
so you just mad whatever hay you could between here and there
Theres a hole in your heart where the narcissism comes from
you took Husy’s money till it ran out
and scrambled to still win
Ha ha woman its a crying shame
But you aint got no one else to blame

E-evil woman, e-evil woman, e-evil woman, evil woman

You came in for your last big go round
maybe you thought you were goin’ to get some dirt too hot to put down
But a fake and her lust for power soon go separate ways
as you can only find so many fools lyin in a daze
Ha ha woman what you gonna do
you destroyed what little virtue that the Lord gave you
Its so good that you didn’t get any gain
so you better get yourself on board your funeral train

E-evil woman, e-evil woman, e-evil woman, evil woman

Oddly enough, though I’ve wished for so long for her to just go away…..

And now that it’s happened….

With Barack Hussein Obama a very real possibility of becoming POTUS, I don’t feel the joy I thought I would at Hillary’s demise.

I’d rather have her in the White House than Barack.

Here’s hoping those disaffected Hillary supporters come through for McCain. (And how sad it is that a Republican candidate is pinning all his hopes on Independents and Democrats. That is just where we are. Like Rush says, no matter which candidate wins the presidency, liberalism advances. Were it not for the war in Iraq, I’d say let it advance under a Democrat.)

I wish he would do it now. If he waits until Ms. Kennedy wheels out a VP for Obama - if it is a woman also - it’ll steal the momentum Palin might create. It’s an opportune time. With Liebs + Palin might make inroads into Hill’s base, plus she seems pd cool.

You should hear it spoken, especially when I’m mad. I’m naturally hyper, things to do, places to be in, driver/expressive type (task is everything, then party just as hard afterwards, or relax with passion on HA :), can speak very fast.

Accent is not heavy, and not easy to nail, though most would wrongly guess Sweedish. It’s really strange that when I see it written, I recognize the error immediately, but not when I furiosly type away…many a sigh…but like my blushing, it doesn’t prevent me to say it, or in this case to continue to write it.

Entelechy on June 7, 2008 at 5:38 PM

SouthernGent on June 7, 2008 at 5:42 PM

Spirit and JiangxiDad, it’s always good to be in your sphere.

On the “is actually charming” - have to say, with lots of proof, that it has helped enormously. If I had $5.00 for every time someone next to me on a plane, or in my presentations around the world has said “Why don’t you write a book?”, I’d be very rich. Alas, it wouldn’t sell because I’m not a Hollywood famous person. I contend that we all have a book in us, but lack the marketing due to not being well known.

What’s the topic here? Yes, Hillary. Now, she adopts any accents, Buy Danish is absolutely right that she grates on us while speaking, but she can sell books, can she ever.

Buy Danish, I lauded you a few weeks ago, but in case you didn’t see my comment, I think that you provide incredibly well-researched and thought through comments to us at HA. I appreciate them greatly.

Hillary remains the Energizer Bunny who has selected sabbatical leave while donning the Little BoPeep Bonnet, beating the POTUS bass drum with her shepherdess staff.

She has proven she has more grit than Bonehead has naivete. This will all be interesting to note in a few months as today will just be water under the bridge by then. Bonehead Pinocchio wants to play the Pied Piper with the sheeple rats. So we’ll see what tune wins the POTUS come November.

McCain should stick with John Phillip Sousa on the road and personally need not actively campaign for democrat votes baited with RINO promises. They know they are welcome without McCain looking FLIMSY begging for help using bribes for little old ladies who already know the difference between a rock and a hard spot. Hillary and her CRACK of light joke deserves applause, really. Voters who fall through the crack DO see the light, but it ain’t Obama shining through.

Agreed. Democrats have a tendency to play fast and loose with figures and years. Case in point: note how long they claim that we have been in Iraq.

Would it only be right for Hillary! to head back to the Senate now and fulfill her obligations as a legislator? Or does she intend to continue to campaign, this time (superficially) on behalf of OhBummer, the Acorn candidate?

Has anyone else noticed the Hillary! verbal tic of using the adverb “clearly” or variations thereof, such as “Let me be clear”? My antenna go up when she (or Kerry, for that matter) uses the expressions because we can be sure that an obfuscation or whopper is likely to follow.

Frankly, I’m waiting for an Asian-American to crack that ceiling. They’re are smarter, more disciplined, and more patriotic…and less apt to play silly identity-politics games than any Democrat candidate on offer these oh-so-many years.

Thanks for the Palin clips, folks. She is one sharp cookie, poised and knowledgable. She ought to talk to the slugs in Congress to put her points on record.

No problem — I wasn’t bent out of shape, or anything! But, it isn’t delivered as a liquid, it isn’t administered intravenously, you can’t get any effect from “inhaling the vapors”, and you don’t simply take it “as needed”, as it takes a while to build up in your system to therapeutic levels.

I’m not indignant or offended, but the thing about humor is, it has to ring true at least a little bit in order to get laughs. I just thought it funny that you guys thought you could just inject it into The Hill and get instant results. Perhaps you were thinking of something like thorazine?

Obviously, the problem is that I know way too much about this stuff…

Lee on June 7, 2008 at 7:17 PM

Thanks for the Palin clip. I doubt McCain would tap her - she makes too much sense on the energy issue.

For now, she is gone!

But something tells me gone, but just for the moment.

I don’t think Obama will pick a female VP, mainly because he needs somebody with serious military/defense creds.

Big Brown lost spectacularly today. I hope it’s an omen for Obama.

Just don’t take any, Lee :)

Lim, you’re next :)

She said “For now I suspend”
“My agony knows no end”
“My delegates no one will get”
“’til Denver I will fret”
“For Obama to be I’ll pretend”

As long as Obama doesn’t pull the rug out from under me, I think I’ll be OK… ;)

What Obama needs and what Obama wants are no doubt two very contrasting elements. What Obama gets will be what his master grants him. Considering that the master “Machine” determined that Obama would be the POTUS candidate instead of Hillary, will the master “Machine” select a VP simply to attract votes with another boobtube personality since The Machine has its own designs to run the show behind the Oval Room closed doors? Or will they anticipate your advice in the selection? Someone else stated that the DNC VP won’t be named before their convention in order to be sure to counter McCain’s choice, and McCain’s waiting on the same account.

What a lousy game we’re in playing PC polite deference with the “no, after you” decisions and announcements as if strength and determination detect a character flaw.

In other news, moments after Hillary Rodham Clinton suspended her campaign for the presidency, John McCain issued this TV ad:

“My friends, today I suspend my campaign, I congratulate Barack Obama on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run. I endorse him and throw my full support behind him and I ask of you, my fellow Republicans, to join me in working as hard for Barack Obama as you have for me.”

“My fellow Republicans, the way to continue our fight now to accomplish the goals for which we stand is to take our energy, our passion, our strength and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama, the next president of the United States.”

“I am John McCain and I approve this message.”

E-e-ea-a-a-a-ck!
There.

Her claim of having served with Obambi for 4 years technically could be explained by both having shared the Eleanor Roosevelt seance channel in 2004. If both were linked in to that channel Hillary claims to have used when first, cough, “lady” it could count as a shared network connection to the Senate paranormal node.

Sorta like when Al Gore mind melds with snail darters and polar bears or Robert Byrd links in with Old Blue or Calypso Louie contacts the mother ship. Too bad the Weekly World News isn’t still around to ask Hillary the right questions.

viking01 on June 7, 2008 at 8:16 PM

Obama asked “Is it true?”
“The Mrs has been quite blue!”
“Michelle swore to the end”
“That you’ll never bend!”
“And you’d give me the heel of your shoe!”

Hillary looked straight in his eye
Hiding behind her the pie
“Why Barry, ol’ pal”
“What’s up with your gal?”
“A Clinton would never lie!”

Limerick the ante uped
Entelechy no longer naped
Time to work hard
Keeping on guard
Of energy not sapped

On the HA scene Indy arose
Immediately striking an eclectic pose
Boring he’s not
Smiles he’s begot
Leading us all by the nose

p.s. Indy, had excellently prepared froglegs for dinner last night - fine French restaurant, with chef from Provence.

Entelechy on June 7, 2008 at 8:35 PM

If (God forbid) Obama is elected, I hope that whatever job he gives Hillary does not involve a lot of public speaking as she really is utterly unbearable to listen to.

Buy Danish on June 7, 2008 at 5:25 PM

The voice she started the speech with is the first tolerable sound she has ever made, imo. What took her so long?

Jaibones on June 7, 2008 at 8:36 PM

Michelle O. “is she gone that bi*ch?”
“Who’s your VP you must switch”
“There’s room for one only”
“Otherwise you’d be lonely”
“Watch out, us she might yet bewitch”

Ed and Allah looked down
From the blogging booth to the ground
These freaks gotta go
They’re trashing our show
The ban hammer weighs fifty pounds!

Frog legs?

No way!

Yesterday I had a fried turtle butt with skunk sauce served with a side dish of spicy horse testicles.

As appetizer, I drank a cup of dog drooling mixed with cat’s sperms.

I can’t tell how much I loved the testicles!

Indy Conservative on June 7, 2008 at 8:51 PM

To each’s own. There’s eclectic, and then there’s eclectic.

Lim, don’t get paranoid. It’s just a hammer.

Entelechy on June 7, 2008 at 8:53 PM

Bill Clinton “Obama dumpster diver”
“Whatever you find, you Hillary driver”
“Whatever you’ve got”
“I pay you a lot”
“Show me first, I’ll show her”

We should elect someone who isn’t ready on day one? A guy who only has 1 speech he gave in 2002?
