Funnier than you’d expect, and pithily effective as a reminder of just how many seedy characters number among the Messiah’s apostles. Not including number three, of course, which is my favorite.

Here’s McCain’s ten worst, also compiled by ABC, but it pales by comparison. Click the image to watch.

I about choked when I saw Kilpatrick on there! Isn’t that guy now the EX-Mayor of Detriot? Or am I wrong?

That news clip was actually funny!

upinak on June 5, 2008 at 4:36 PM

Uh…and ABC is covering this? Willingly playing quotes and reminders of Obama’s skeletons?

amerpundit on June 5, 2008 at 4:37 PM

I thought this was very funny. I can’t believe abc did this. Sent this on off.

I think it is a good thing. Shows who “shouldn’t” be trusted in any light.

upinak on June 5, 2008 at 4:40 PM

Grover? Why is he a bad choice? It might stop the Barr insurrection.

VolMagic on June 5, 2008 at 4:41 PM

Not bad, especially seeing all those associates of Obama he had no idea were so anti-American.

Esthier on June 5, 2008 at 4:42 PM

amerpundit on June 5, 2008 at 4:37 PM

Trapper isn’t your usual Obama groupie media flack.

VolMagic on June 5, 2008 at 4:42 PM

I still think he will pick ol’ Louie Farrakhan.

SaintOlaf on June 5, 2008 at 4:43 PM

I don’t want to get all nit picky here, but I don’t think Bill can be VP. Someone needs to tell Obama so he can update his list.

Oh, it was a joke…sorry.

Not “EX” Kwame is still in charge though the City Council has asked the Governor to fire him (she can by MI law but won’t because he’s a black Democrat).

My personal choice is the other one, my very own Congressman “Dollar Bill” Jefferson. Three more of his siblings got indicted yesterday on corruption charges and the man is still in Congress. I just want him gone and if that means foisting him on the rest of you all- I’m not too proud to foist!

Lefties to begin foaming at the mouth about the Reich-wing Media being controlled by the Jooos in 3…2…

Being in Michigan has got to be a pain right now.

Why don’t you run for something small? Assembly or something and work your way up. That is all we can hope for in that State is concerned citizens to make a stand!

upinak on June 5, 2008 at 4:49 PM

I liked the choice for #6. She has the appropriate experience, you know.

Bigfoot on June 5, 2008 at 4:53 PM

What’s going on at ABC News? Wasn’t it Jake Tapper who described Obama as a “one man gaffe machine”?

infidel65 on June 5, 2008 at 4:53 PM

anyone seen the Indpendent article today that has the kooks riled up?

Article title: “Revealed: Secret plan to keep Iraq under US control

its about the treaty bush is negotiating that would require our forces to remain in Iraq even if Obama is elected as long as the Iraqi’s want us.

jp on June 5, 2008 at 4:58 PM

Darn that was good, and from ABC no less…

right2bright on June 5, 2008 at 4:58 PM

#11: Obama’s white grandma, the civil rights activist who’s afraid of black men.

aero on June 5, 2008 at 5:01 PM

Tapper needs to replace #1 as the Clenis is ineligible to be on the ticket. Maybe replace him with Spitzer to remind us of Barry’s drivers license plans.

clghitis on June 5, 2008 at 5:01 PM

2 men facing corruption indictments (super-delegates I might add).

1 convicted of corruption, yesterday.

And another gentleman bombed the Pentagon.

40% of that list are in, have faced, or are facing trouble with the law.

2 others are complete racist pigs.

4 of those 6 were until recently either good friends, mentors or political sounding boards for Obama.

Yes we can (as long as no one’s actually paying attention)!

By the way – who respects Bill Ayers?

yo on June 5, 2008 at 5:01 PM

They should do another video for who should be on the team helping pick the nominee for VP. Let’s see, how about the guy who recommended a pardon of Rich, and then … Oh never mind.

pedestrian on June 5, 2008 at 5:05 PM

Oh great! — now if I want to catch the gist of a thread I have to watch the same MSM that I abhor. Just about every blog has substituted, to some degree, video clips for discussion. Lots of “comments” on blogs now just consist of trading YouTube links. This is the beginning of the end of the golden days of the internet.

RACIST!!!111!!!

Now, to read…

baldilocks on June 5, 2008 at 5:13 PM

If BHO wants an attack dog, he should pick none other than Khalid Sheikh Mohammed for his VP.

My collie (the attack dog) says:

KSM’s campaign slogan: “Vote for Obama…or I KEEL YOU!”

William Ayers, “respected Chicago professor…’

Respected?

In Obama and terrorist circles, perhaps.

JammieWearingFool on June 5, 2008 at 5:27 PM

Tangental: Was just reading how Senator Clinton now says she is not seeking the VP spot and this quote made me chuckle.

“She is not seeking the vice presidency, and no one speaks for her but her,” communications director Howard Wolfson said. “The choice here is Senator Obama’s and his alone.”

12thman on June 5, 2008 at 5:32 PM

The McCain stuff is lame.

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on June 5, 2008 at 5:35 PM

CyberCipher on June 5, 2008 at 5:19 PM

Thank you! It’s never too early or late in the day for an Achmed reference. :)

JadeNYU on June 5, 2008 at 5:35 PM

How about Rumsfield for McCain’s VP? He brings a lot of experience to the table.

Rod on June 5, 2008 at 5:37 PM

Tinian on June 5, 2008 at 5:05 PM

Then start your own.

12thman on June 5, 2008 at 5:32 PM

Heh.

davidk on June 5, 2008 at 5:38 PM

I thought the commercial for Listerine Whitening Strips that preceeded the story to be an interesting choice for ABC.

This is the beginning of the end of the golden days of the internet.

Tinian on June 5, 2008 at 5:05 PM

Remember when you had to type your comments instead of just thinkEdit? And when you could never see the other commenters in the vidWall? In fact no vidWall?! Gawd!

Rod on June 5, 2008 at 5:44 PM

Worst VP candidate? Michelle Obama. >;-)

If he picks Hillary it will negate his concept of “change in Washington” and will remove the only thing he has against McCain, which is “more of the same.”

cannonball on June 5, 2008 at 5:57 PM

Most realistic is Bill Clinton’s statement

This is the biggest fairytale I’ve ever seen“.

Must.Be.Framed.As.A.Reminder.

Entelechy on June 5, 2008 at 6:03 PM

tapper is a hard core liberal who occassionally actually does a legitimate job. His choosing Mitt number 2 after Bush(who really is an impossibility)is very telling. It’s obvious who the left wing media fears.

peacenprosperity on June 5, 2008 at 6:05 PM

I still think he will pick ol’ Louie Farrakhan.

SaintOlaf on June 5, 2008 at 4:43 PM

Good point. They needed a list of 12. The other one w/b no other than, the one who looks “like a looong day”, as Dennis Miller says, Michelle Obama.

Entelechy on June 5, 2008 at 6:07 PM

For anyone who thinks tapper is objective, tapper called ayers “the respected Chicago professor” without a hint of sarcasm.

peacenprosperity on June 5, 2008 at 6:11 PM

I just finished over six minutes of whoopee talking about the poo being squeezed out of her and other such crap.

what’s with the photo link?

Obama’s secret Top Ten Veep ideas:

10)Teddy Kennedy
9) Eliot Spitzer
8) Jack Murtha
7) Dick Durbin
6) Al Gore
5) Tipper Gore (to slightly piss off Hillary)
5) Harry Reid
4) Martin O’Malley (Governor of Maryland, for the alliteration)
3) Nancy Pelosi (to give Hillary a coronary)
2) Steny Hoyer (a funnier name than his own)
1) Mumia Abdul Jamal (for the international vote)

profitsbeard on June 5, 2008 at 6:34 PM

I might seem like a prude for whining about this, but they connect Obama with Superdelegates who didn’t endorse until after he clinched the nomination yet didn’t offer any of the same for McCain? This is a pretty heavy-handed piece for a news organization of any kind, you’d never see a comparable hit on a Republican presidential candidate. The McCain list is mostly silly name-drops besides Iseman.

peacenprosperity on June 5, 2008 at 6:11 PM

I’ve little doubt that in certain circles in Chicago Ayers is respected- not in spite of being a domestic terrorist, but to some degree because of it.

Hollowpoint on June 5, 2008 at 6:37 PM

Typhonsentra on June 5, 2008 at 6:35 PM

Republicans.. heck just conservatives in general don’t need delegates like the Democrats. We don’t have to pay our people for their vote!

Being in Michigan has got to be a pain right now.

upinak on June 5, 2008 at 4:49 PM

Heh…it’s about to get worse. Today they announced another ‘tax us into prosperity’ measure…nearly every state fee is going to go up. Parking/speeding tickets, burial fees (gotta getcha once more on the way out, of course), permit fees…everything’s going to become more expensive.

I’m moving out of here before the end of August and I’m never coming back. If they decide to put a fee on leaving the state I’ll gladly pay them double as long as I get to throw it at them.

James on June 5, 2008 at 7:20 PM

Don’t worry, ABC will point to this fluff piece the first, second and tenth time they are accused of being in the tank for Obama. It will be the exception that proves the rule!

Tinian on June 5, 2008 at 8:42 PM

Obama/Mao

Kevin M on June 5, 2008 at 9:17 PM

No, no, no! Obama needs a seasoned Democratic elder to balance his youth and inexperience. And that can only mean — “Welcome back, Jimmy Carter!”

Dr. Charles G. Waugh on June 5, 2008 at 9:22 PM

#1 Omarosa, a radical, loudmouth, angry, woman,… to balance the ticket and off set the demure Mrs. O.

Alden Pyle on June 5, 2008 at 10:15 PM

#2 Ru Paul, er…I mean Mrs O, with her wig.

Alden Pyle on June 5, 2008 at 10:16 PM

with = without

Alden Pyle on June 5, 2008 at 10:35 PM

How about Putin as his running mate.

At least that would be honest.

Red Pill on June 6, 2008 at 12:56 AM

It’s good to know that Hillary still has the support of some of the MSM.

That will definitely help to “keep it real” with Obama.

Red Pill on June 6, 2008 at 1:06 AM

And throw in Dianne “Invading Iraq Would Be Just Like Invading Portugal” Feinstein!

silverfox on June 6, 2008 at 2:05 AM

Obama/Sharpton

I wouldn’t vote for it, but if it was a TV show called “The New Odd Couple,” I’d watch it!!

silverfox on June 6, 2008 at 2:09 AM

Great work by Tap. Wry, concise. He’s earned his place as a friend of the Dennis Miller Show.

Sorry, but B. Job Clinton is not eligible too be a candidate so that fantasm will have to be scrapped,
