Oh, there’s the victim card I love so much – “Guess I’m too ignorant”. Sadly, you are pretty ignorant because you continue to miss the point. I’m well aware that the fist bump isn’t only a black thing… in fact I do it with various people occasionally, sometimes as it relates to inside jokes that have nothing to do with race at all. My point was that Obama has been desperate to prove that he’s authentically black enough (which everyone knows, though one could hold the opinion that this isn’t what is happening here). Given the dishonesty of the man and his campaign and his disgusting lies and pandering – that, although smoother (mainly because of the media’s love for him really), rivals that of the Clintons or Kerry – anything he does is now suspect to me. I view this as his attempt at “hipness”. Perhaps it’s just for general hipness, not black hipness in this case, but in my mind the odds are 50/50. As I said, he’s shown in the past how desperate he is to prove he’s “black”, so I don’t put this past him.

Now, back to the point… Your insinuation that I think only blacks do this. If you’re basing this on my hypothetical (and partly joking) guess on the Obama comment/plan to do this, you’re ignoring that those are what I’m imagining HIS words would be, not my own. He’s an elitist turd and he’s desperate to try to connect to these lower class people (again, in HIS mind) so I can totally see a meeting where they calculate some stuff he can do to get down to their level.

Of course his VP nom will be dubbed “Gleek”.

RC, I don’t think people are attacking the Obamas’ marriage or doubting their love – at least I’m not. Most of us also aren’t making it into a race thing. I was just joking with 12thman about that. Instead, I think most of us on this thread are making fun of the MSM’s orgasmic response to a silly little fist-tap and how they made it into “news” by drawing attention to it the way they did.
