Video: “A little bit of history repeating”

See-Dub’s first foray into video production. This is meant in some sense to be reassuring — we’ve beaten this guy before! — but all it does is worry me. We’ve barely beaten this guy before, and the version we beat came without the prodigious rhetorical ability, the hundreds of millions in online donations, and a gilded racial Narrative for Chris Matthews and the rest of the media to get the giggles over. Maybe he should have tried a different soundtrack. Click the image to watch.

Always like Allah to be cynical about it but…he’s right about the rhetorical skills and better funding.
warrenmr on June 4, 2008 at 4:17 PM
Sadly, Kerry actually had more experience and knowledge of the issues.
amerpundit on June 4, 2008 at 4:21 PM
Funding’s not going to matter. It’s already not mattered. Just how much did Obama outspend Hillary by since Uncle Jerry became a household name?
How’d that work out for him?
I have to say that I think rhetorically Barry’s overrated as well. The guy I saw leading a cult of personality last night wasn’t Ronald Reagan; he wasn’t even Bill Clinton. He’ll play to those who already love him. But that’s as far as it goes.
My guess is that Kerry the waffler will be seen in the end to have been the stronger candidate than Barry the waffle eater.

Could John (Did you know he served in Vietnam?) Kerry possibly be a consideration for BHO’s VP?
kcd on June 4, 2008 at 4:29 PM
one can only, err, hope…
Although if hillary was VP we could covertly play the “she’s subservient to a man” to get the butch lesibans out in droves for McCain.
Darth Executor on June 4, 2008 at 4:35 PM
Allah, you really are a scared dude, aren’t you? Does everything “concern” you? Kerry was a French-like snob, not a radical-hanging out with terrorists and American haters, race-baiting elitist. And you thing Thereeeeeza was an albatross? She’s bush league compared to Queen Michelle. Hell, at least Kerry actually had a few years under him and (albeit overblown) military service to point to. The press love Obama TOO much and people know it. They are actually muting their effectiveness with how in the tank they’ve become. It’s going to be a hideous few months, but in the end, Jimmy Carter 2.0 goes back to the Senate.

Suprised no one has used this one yet…
liquidflorian on June 4, 2008 at 4:37 PM
Barak Hussein Obama can’t win the general election. For that matter, anyone who thinks Hillary quit is dreaming.
I forgot. You can’t use his middle name. Hey wait – if I can’t use Hussein could I call him Barak Milhouse Obama? I can’t see how that would insult a lib.

Best video ever!!!!
madame_bluetooth on June 4, 2008 at 4:38 PM
That’s gooooood. I’d like to see a series of these with Obambi compared to Jimmy Carter, Mario Cuomo, even Mike Dukikis said a lot of the same crap that Obambi is spouting. All with the same song.
This Messiah campaign needs to be skewered and parodied to death. I want to see people at his campaign stops acting deaf, blind, and lame and asking him to heal them. People with crutches throwing them away after he speaks.
Dennis Miller said it best – I’m not concerned about the color of his skin, I’m concerned about the thinness of it. He has a VERY thin skin and we can get under it easily with this stuff.

Great idea! While were at it lets demand that John do the right thing and give Ellen away at her wedding! She did ask in a polite manner you know….
kcd on June 4, 2008 at 4:40 PM
Now *that’s* funny.
Typhoon on June 4, 2008 at 4:43 PM
…but Mrs. Heinz was a tiny, tiny, dwarf albatross, compared to Michelle Obama…the circus has just begun in earnest.
Entelechy on June 4, 2008 at 4:46 PM
Great job See-Dub, heh heh
but Crissy Mathews isn’t for Obama, is he?/s
abinitioadinfinitum on June 4, 2008 at 4:49 PM
When is Obama’s pro-abortion record going to come into play?

Her Majesty is far overhead, drifting lazily on the wind currents as they rustle the feathers on her outstretched wings. She peers down at a hapless target on the ground. Is it time,..is it time? No, not quite yet.
a capella on June 4, 2008 at 4:54 PM
Don’t forget that Bush was a bit more conservative than McCain. I know, it’s only a matter of degrees, but it’s enough of a degree.
I propose a Boss/See-Dub ticket.
steveegg on June 4, 2008 at 5:03 PM
Nice work C-Dub! Tie that Kerry anchor around Obama’s neck. All we need now is for Obambi to say something about how the Troops are stuk in Irak. Halp us Osama Bahrain Husrak!
Tony737 on June 4, 2008 at 5:04 PM
Is Chris Matthews still in the ice-cold water tub?
Entelechy on June 4, 2008 at 5:04 PM
It doesn’t help that Drudge seems to be in the tank for Obama
infidel2 on June 4, 2008 at 5:07 PM
See you in November, Chumps!

Any political video with Shirley Bassey’s got my vote. Just the Fleming fan in me.
I will say that if he’s interested in doing one on Bill, he could use Goldfinger. (”For a golden girl knows when he’s kissed her – it’s the kiss of death from Mr. Goldfinger…)

Forget the campaign. The money bought him quite a few super delegates with the only promises that matter: funding for their campaigns, and access to his super-duper database of detailed donor info acquired through MyObama.com.
Allah’s correct: this guy’s not Kerry of the annoying, droning voice, pasty-white skin and Boston brahman background. The media had to work at propping Kerry up, but they’re ecstatic about Obama.
Nichevo on June 4, 2008 at 5:21 PM
I know it seemed close, but consider these facts:
1) The best the Democrat Presidential Candidates have been able to do in the last 40 years was 50.1% of the popular vote…for Jimmy Carter!
2) Just under four years ago, George W. Bush got a larger percentage of the popular vote than any Democrat has received since LBJ in 1964.
3) If you discount 1964 (I do, because the country was looking for stability in the wake of the JFK assassination) then you have to go all the way back to FDR in 1944 to find a Democrat who got more than the 50.7% that George W. Bush got in 2004. In the last 100 years, only two Democrats (FDR & LBJ) got a greater percentage of the popular vote than our born-again Christian, pro-life President George W. Bush got in 2004.
4) Hillary hasn’t quit yet. I don’t trust her to settle for VP. She will do something that ends up being detrimental to the Democrat party.
5) Republicans need to follow Mike Huckabee’s advice if they want to win this November:
Red Pill on June 4, 2008 at 5:56 PM
And if anyone tries to compare Obama to JFK, remind them that JFK was strongly anti-Communist.
Ask Obama what he thinks of Marxism-Lenninism. I dare you.
Red Pill on June 4, 2008 at 5:59 PM
You have to handicap for both sides, because it was, after all, George Bush who ran against John Kerry, not John McCain. As pitiful a campaigner as McCain is turning out to be, he could still get better and he’s a stronger candidate than Bush was.
Mark V. on June 4, 2008 at 6:07 PM
Was that Obama girl at the end?
Loved the video.
EJDolbow on June 4, 2008 at 6:24 PM
He NEEDS a VP who will excite the base. McCain is not going to do it.
EJDolbow on June 4, 2008 at 6:25 PM
Will work on him. I’m sure there’s a slightly-used pig sockpuppet out there he could use for the pressers (just contact Christian Schneider (nee Dennis York).
steveegg on June 4, 2008 at 6:26 PM
GO CW!
Kevin M on June 4, 2008 at 6:41 PM
Count me with him. I’ve never campaigned so hard against anyone as I did against Kerry. Obama will be (actually, is) Kerry’s mouthpiece whether Kerry is on the ticket or not.
Connie on June 4, 2008 at 6:49 PM
Barry Kerry is very scary.
Connie on June 4, 2008 at 7:14 PM
I like CW’s posts. I don’t get over to Michelle’s enough. Fortunately, I comment under a different name over there.
jaime on June 4, 2008 at 7:14 PM
That was awesome, see-dub.
Brit Hume should close his segment with this one!
JetBoy on June 4, 2008 at 7:15 PM
Allahpundit, constant source of optimism and enlightenment.
Seriously dude, what the hell happened this year to make you think McCain can’t beat the man with the Dukakis coalition?
