Leaked: Totally convincing alien tape even more totally convincing than dreamed

I’m not positive it’s the tape written about last week, but given the similarities between the video and the published screencap, let’s put my certainty conservatively at 99%. Anyone want to try to solve the puzzle and identify the alien here? I’m assuming it comes from some movie or TV show and was copy/pasted into the black window area, because this looks as fake as, well, as the new Indiana Jones movie’s F/X, alas.
Worth noting: Per the link above, the tape that was shown last week runs three minutes. E.T. was peeping through the window all that time and no one noticed? Good thing a camera happened to be turned on and aimed right at him. Click the image to watch.

It looks like some sort of Pixar movie.
socalconservative on June 4, 2008 at 8:07 PM
Could be a spoof of a fake.
Spirit of 1776 on June 4, 2008 at 8:08 PM
That was my first impression…it looks like a computer-generated “ET” pasted into the window area.
Least it could have done was wave or something…
JetBoy on June 4, 2008 at 8:09 PM
The really sad part is that FoxNews was all over this last week–actually interviewing some guy about it like it was actual hard news. That’s pretty sad indeed.
robblefarian on June 4, 2008 at 8:09 PM
And btw…PLEASE don’t tell me this is a publicity thing for an E.T. remake or sequel…
JetBoy on June 4, 2008 at 8:10 PM
Allahpundit the New CGI can make things looks so real that if they wanted to fake something you wouldn’t even know the difference.. the rendering capabilities of the newer programs, coupled with tools like Zbrush make for easy work.. nerds have been making these video’s on the internet for years now.
Chakra Hammer on June 4, 2008 at 8:10 PM
Dennis Kucinich could not be reached for a probe of this.

Obama: Hillary, stop looking in my window and go home! I am not picking you as VP and that’s final!

These skeletons are REAL!!!!!!!!
Chakra Hammer on June 4, 2008 at 8:14 PM
It looks super-fake! One thing that gives it away–the window frame doesn’t budge, meaning that whoever did this set the camera up on a tripod, meaning that they PLANNED to film this. If this was an impromptu visit to unsuspecting Earthlings, who sets a camera up on a tripod to look at a window at night, if they’re not expecting anything?
Act II: Cue Kermit the Frog and the Cookie Monster. They’re more realistic.
Steve Z on June 4, 2008 at 8:16 PM
I feel compelled to repeat my point from the post the other day, but I’m too lazy so I’m just going to copy and paste:

Yeah, an obvious fake. Here’s the real one.

Hey! Its “Whitey”! Yes this is the anticipated tape of Michelle Obama’s “Whitey” that we were hearing of all day yesterday. They said it would surface today and, by-golly, here it is. Thanks to Hot Air. This will be devastating for the Obama campaign.
I nominate Mr. Allahpundit for a pulitzer. Who’ll 2nd the motion? DD
Darvin Dowdy on June 4, 2008 at 8:29 PM
It’s clearly an emu in a halloween mask.
chriscoolc on June 4, 2008 at 8:33 PM
1) it’s “real”. And by “real” I mean a real puppet that the puppeteer can manipulate the eyes.
2) it’s CGI
3) it’s two different videos mashed up.
Now back to the Machiavellian doings in the Democratic Party. . .

Kinda reminds me of Tim “The Tool Man” Taylors’ neighbor Wilson. Just missing the hat and the fence.

We’ve learned all we can through anal probing!
Time to look in windows.
lorien1973 on June 4, 2008 at 8:42 PM
The story I read said that he was being plagued by a peeping tom and had set up the camera in the hopes of catching him peeping in the window. He caught a peeper but it wasn’t what he expected. One of the big issues I have is that this is supposed to be a second floor window. How could a peeper be looking in a second floor window close enough to be caught on video? Only a truly stupid peeper would climb a ladder or onto a roof where he could be easily heard, seen or caught. The guy also claims that he has been abducted many times over 20 years or so. I would more easily believe him if he said he set up the camera to capture an abduction rather than the lame peeper excuse.
jmarcure on June 4, 2008 at 8:44 PM
Very good.
Damned, I wished I had thought of that line. So obvious yet so good.
SteveMG on June 4, 2008 at 8:46 PM
How do we know that it wasn’t just Barry peaking in the window at Hillary campaign headquarters.

CyberCipher on June 4, 2008 at 8:51 PM
I guess you’re joking, but that’s footage from one of the aliens from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Riposte on June 4, 2008 at 8:51 PM
Ok I have to add one other thing. What kind of anatomy would allow the ducking straight down like is being shown? Any humanoid would have a downward and to the left, right forward or backward motion during a head duck. A straight down duck doesn’t make any sense unless it is a puppet on a long stick being pulled string down which would also explain the second story window.
I think it’s fake but real. If the guy is a known UFO nut then the peeper he was trying to catch could be nothing more than some locals trying to fake the guy out.
jmarcure on June 4, 2008 at 8:53 PM
I’m glad it’s peeping ET’s instead of Aliens or Predators.
Though that have been an attempted B/E w/ anal probe.
Beagle on June 4, 2008 at 8:54 PM
Someone check its visa.
SouthernGent on June 4, 2008 at 8:58 PM
Would have been more believable if towards the end of the video, it holds up a RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT sign.
pilamaye on June 4, 2008 at 8:58 PM
I have to tell you, this alien got a plasma conduit leak in the head.
You travel millions of light years to recon a planet only to get caught by a farmer peeking through a window.
Go back to your home world and work on an invention call infrared binoculars.
Geez, what is this Universe coming to.

Nicely done model. I dabble in 3d modeling and have used ZBrush but never to that extent. I could also fake that video pretty easily if I wanted but it’s not worth the effort. My son did a pretty good version of a light saber fight as a school project so I know how easy it is to create FX with todays computers.
jmarcure on June 4, 2008 at 9:13 PM
Not to mention, if I’m going to travel that kind of distance, I’m going to be peeping into primo real estate… Like Selma Hayek’s place or something….
PS – great user name!

Oy VeY!!
That is all the evidence that the Dems need to earmark $10,000,000,000 for the new WhoFO commission – Kucinich will of course get this new Cabinet level position.

OK, I have it now. These guys must have heard that McCain, if elected POTUS, will give amnesty to all Illegal Aliens, no matter their country or Star System of origin. Its bad enough that earthly illegal aliens think we’re sucker, now the entire Galaxy knows!

I sense a whiff of skepticism. Now comon folks. Clearly the context here lends credence.
Pflager is catching heat from the Roman Catholics.
Pflager is friendly with (the wrath of) Farakhan.
Farakhan is freindly with Elijah Mohommad.
Elijah Mohammad is on the mother ship orbiting Earth.
The mother ship is alien.
This dude’s an alien.
But he’s white.
So he’s CGI.
Alright, be skeptical

Best joke in the thread.
jmarcure on June 5, 2008 at 6:47 AM
Don’t you mean “Dennis Kucinich could not be reached to be probed by this”?
papabryant on June 5, 2008 at 6:48 AM
Skepticism implies the possibility that the event was real. I remain skeptical as to whether or not anyone commenting thinks it was real.
jmarcure on June 5, 2008 at 6:57 AM
If we had a border fence, aliens like this wouldn’t pop up outside our windows. Then again, maybe they have green cards for little green men.
NNtrancer on June 5, 2008 at 7:23 AM
Heh
That would’ve made me a believer.
Redhead Infidel on June 5, 2008 at 9:04 AM
I thought that was Dennis….
That said, I think that was an alien from “Close Encounters” distorted a little…
Frozen Tex on June 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM
Most Hyper advanced civilizations that I know – you know the one’s that develop gravity resistant alloys, flameless re-entry, folding space, 3 dimensional spiatial navigation, fueless interstellar drive systems, and regenerating food sources, always send their astronauts out on exploration missions naked – without atmosphere and instrumentation, and are stupid enough to go up to a window in a hunting town and peek inside.
Yep – write me down as coninced too
EricPWJohnson on June 5, 2008 at 10:11 AM
I’m not an evolutionists, but it seems obvious to me that our opposable thumbs and our ability to walk upright made it possible for us to create technology and thus become the top of the food chain.
If aliens are able to travel over here and peep in on us, then they must also be at the top of the food chain on their home planet, which very likely required them to be able to pick things up and walk upright.
They likely also have weird things that look like chickens that are… well, their version of chickens.
If evolution always favors the “fittest” then evolution would likely occur similarly on other planets that can support life unless their atmosphere is drastically different, but even then, the ability to hold something is paramount to the ability to make a spaceship. Chickens would have a hard time grabbing the controls.
And last, aliens weren’t drawn up by darwinists. They were drawn by sci-fi writers, and writers generally put much of themselves into their characters. Naturally they choose aliens other people can relate to.
If it’s an alien peeping in on the second floor, the argument is likely that he can fly, in which case going down wouldn’t necessarily require any head movement.

“No, your not tripping, that is an Emu.” – Hank Hill
Lunkinator on June 5, 2008 at 12:56 PM
I think the clip would have been much more believable if the alien looked like a hairless naked caveman that ate people and sprayed poison from their wrists, but melted with contact to water.
Something like this.
AverageJoe on June 5, 2008 at 1:02 PM
Maybe this this the alien used?
