That is a great movie if you can find it in the rents..

a great underrated comedy…

Stuart Saves His Family (Franken Fails yet again)
Superstar (Poor Molly Shannon)
It’s Pat (I feel no pity for any souls involved in this)
Blues Brothers 2000 (blasphemy, I tells ya!)
A Night At The Roxbury (funny for about 2 seconds)
The Ladies Man (Tim “The Token” Meadows bribe to get him to FINALLY leave SNL)

Exit question: ANy other SNL stinkers I’ve overlooked?

Molly Shannon did a movie called ‘Year of the Dog’.. the first half of the movie was funny.. (30-45 minutes or so) the last half was some commercial for PETA..

like a dinner of a nice cheeseburger, then $#it sundae for desert..

Will Ferrel has been doing okey.. but doing the same formula as ‘Anchorman; The Legend of Ron Burgundy’

after Austin Powers, the last one, and the shreks.. I think Mike Meyers has had his heyday..

his new movie looks about the same as the Austin Powers flicks.. lots of stage makeup and wigs.. funny accent.. weak plot to play out gags..

I forgot The Coneheads (I’ll forgive Akroyd for this one, because his wife is soooooo hot!)

Actually, I liked this one. Every day around noon, I run around work going “lunch… lunch… lunch…”

Then Aykroyd burns his mouth on hot pizza and douses the heat with Windex.

They served as a distraction during cold and flu season when they stayed home from school hoping not to vomit…more…
(my apologies to the weak stomached folks in the blogosphere…we use TV as a medicinal hypnotonic when needed…occasionally we do reach for the class II narcotics and decongestants…but only if Mike Meyers, Will Ferrell, or Dan Ackroyd haven’t made the NyQuil version of cold and flu video. And they usually do….until the characters puke or have their heads sliced off by a skate).

Yes, Tony737. Opportunity Knocks is my favorite comedy!

It’s good to see that these two ended the feud.

Carvey had that botched heart surgery stalling his career, but a lot of it might be that he’s a genius at the five-minute gag, and stretching that out to a money-making eighty minute movie often fails.

They all “retire” when nothing is offered to them.

But why not cameos? Or animated movies, which the other SNL alums all seem to be doing. It is weird. He doesn’t seem to be touring (stand-up) or anything.

Just wanted to say, of all the people who have so called blogs, and the many here that link to their “informative” sites…I think you are the best writer of all. You have a “Somerset Maugham” way of looking at people. You are an excellent writer.
I click on it to get an interesting life perspective, thanks for making that available.
