Ahmadinejad: Muslims to soon uproot “Satanic powers” and eliminate — guess who?

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad continues his own “preparations” for a meeting with President Barack Obama by reminding the world what he wants. The Iranian news agency Mehr reports that Ahmadinejad promised that Muslims will soon uproot “satanic powers”, and that the mission will spell an end to the United States and Israel. Does this qualify as the “common interests” that Obama sees between Iran and the United States?
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad predicted on Monday that Muslims would uproot “satanic powers” and repeated his controversial belief that Israel will soon disappear, the Mehr news agency reported.
“I must announce that the Zionist regime (Israel), with a 60-year record of genocide, plunder, invasion and betrayal is about to die and will soon be erased from the geographical scene,” he said.
“Today, the time for the fall of the satanic power of the United States has come and the countdown to the annihilation of the emperor of power and wealth has started.”
Oh, and as for that mutually-assured destruction doctrine on which Obama will rely to contain Iran? He will find the mullahs mad for MAD:
Ahmadinejad also again expressed his apocalyptic vision that tyranny in the world be abolished by the return to earth of the Mahdi, the 12th imam of Shiite Islam, alongside great religious figures including Jesus Christ.
“With the appearance of the promised saviour… and his companions such as Jesus Christ, tyranny will be soon be eradicated in the world.”
It sounds like the League of Super Best Friends. It’s only missing Joseph Smith, Krishna, Shiva, and Moses:
So what preparations does Obama plan to make to find common ground with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Trading Israel as a means of appeasement?

Maybe if we just have an orderly pullout from Iraq he’ll be nice to us.

Iran will respect Obama’s middle name so much that they will forget any differences they have with America and plant trees together in Jerusalem.

By “soon” does he mean January of 2009?
Hoping against hope that the messiah that promises “hope & change” will be at the helm come January.
Anybody else wonder where that 50 million a month is coming from?

oh well, Iran is just a tiny country. There’s no threat here folks. Move along. …Oh, well, tiny compared to the former Soviet Union. …Oh well, nuclear threats should be dealt with over tea and cookies. …Oh what was that? Oh, thank you sir veteran for that lapel pin!

“Trading Israel as a means of appeasement?”
Exactaumundo.
Of course, a slight problem for the Obama Administration in trying to execute Munich II is that Czechoslovakia didn’t have nukes, but Israel does. (You’d think that Israel had learned from history or something…)

Barack to Mahmoud: “Here’s my final offer–you can blow up half of Israel and ten of the United States, which I get to pick. Oh, and I’ll throw in the Virgin Islands, too. Deal?”

Oh come on now! The Iranian President said no such thing. This is clearly a mistranslation.

Hey Mahmoud – how long has it been since a war between muslims and the west has turned out to your liking? About 500 years or so?
Obama doesn’t know his history. Mahmoud doesn’t, either. They’re meant for each other.

Good point. How long did Iran wage war with Iraq without claiming victory? On the other hand. How long did it take the American military (along with our british buddies) to overthrow Iraq & Saddam. How long did it take Russia to win it’s war with Afghanistan (it didn’t)? On the other hand. How long did it take the American military to overthrow Afghanistan & the Taliban?
The American military is the greatest military force ever created on the face of the earth, in spite of Democrats & Liberals!

Ya know, those states where the people cling to their guns and their religion. In fact, could you start with West Virginia and maybe work your way round through the south on your way over to that dang Texas.

What do you expect from religious zealots like the Iranian mullahs? A policy of MAD does not frighten them. Death for them means going off to their conception of the Muslim after life.

I have Rush streaming on my computer as I write this. I agree, Rush is bringing it today like only Rush can do. It’s no wonder why the left hates this guy so deeply; Rush knows these people inside-out and constantly predicts their actions days ahead of their actions. It’s a riot!

Notice how this thread is void of our lefty commenters? Touched on a real problem for the lefties with this post Ed. Obama is their candidate, as Hillary has announced a major speech in NY for tomorrow. Obama is so far out of the mainstream with regards to foreign policy and basic economics, there is no defense for the indefensible. The guy is nothing other than a bag of empty bullshit.

I can’t help but to wonder what the Iranian people think of this guy, as they are at risk big time. Eventually, Israel must send it’s arsenal into Iran for the sake of it’s own survival. Even if an Obama lead America stands by and does nothing, Israel must eventually take action or perish. To perish in not in the historical make-up of Jews. Iranian civilians will surely be in harms way.
Keemo on June 2, 2008 at 3:02 PM

Ahmadinejad: Muslims to soon uproot “Satanic powers” and eliminate — guess who?
Dammit! I guessed Borneo. I need to bone up some on my current events.
Tantor on June 2, 2008 at 3:24 PM
So is Ahmadinejad joining these folks in counting down the days to Bush’s last day? Does he think a fellow Muslim will take office that day?
I think “the satanic power” is evident in Ahmadinejad and the people who agree with him. I think Ahmadinejad is 100% wrong.
Make no doubt about it. This is spiritual warfare.
I believe Mike Huckabee will be sworn in as President of the United States on Bush’s last day.

Well said.
The Vietnam War wasn’t lost by our military in Vietnam, it was lost by bureaucrats (some of them Communist traitors) in Washington, D.C.
It was lost with the “help” of people like John Kerry.
Red Pill on June 2, 2008 at 3:37 PM
“Does this qualify as the “common interests” that Obama sees between Iran and the United States?” Apparently so. The lefties have a common enemy with Amadoginjihad: themselves.
I wonder what method Mahmoud has in mind to put an end to the US; the operatives are already in place, the FBI knows where they are and how many suitcase bombs they have but since our gov’t has no will to do it’s job, (protect us and our rights as Americans), they won’t have to set off (m)any bombs.
Christine on June 2, 2008 at 3:38 PM
Spiny Norman made my day.
Maybe Obama would have Mahmoud sit on his lap when they ‘negotiate’.

That is not going to happen. The GOP won’t vote for him, even if your miracle somehow happens. And the Independents and Centrist Democrats won’t vote for him. And the libs most certainly won’t vote for him.

Muslims believe that Jesus will return around the time of the arising of Islam’s end-times deliverer, the Mahdi, and that Jesus will defer to and serve the Mahdi.
For more details on the Mahdi and Islam’s expectations for the end of the age, see Joel Richardson’s Antichrist: Islam’s Awaited Messiah.
