Quote of the day

“There’s an anger in him that I find surprising,” one senior aide, who has known and served both Clintons for years, told me this spring. “There seems to be an abiding anger in him, and not just the summer thunderstorms of old. He has been called into question repeatedly by top staff. The fact is, you can only weigh in so often on this stuff. It’s just a huge force of nature.”…
In the end, this is Clinton’s most grievous sin, his steady refusal to take grown-up responsibility for the consequences of his own actions. In the White House, on the day of his last sexual encounter with Monica Lewinsky, Clinton told her that he was worried that a foreign embassy might be listening in on their calls, and that if she were ever questioned, she should say they were just friends. Then he looked into her eyes and sang, “Try a Little Tenderness,” a song that goes: “She may be weary, women do get weary, wearing the same shabby dress.” On the day this winter that he accused Barack Obama of spinning a “fairy tale” about Obama’s anti-war stance, Clinton went on to whine about an Obama campaign research sheet criticizing his business dealings and insisting, “Ken Starr spent $70 million and indicted innocent people to find out that I wouldn’t take a nickel to see the cow jump over the moon.” So, yes, let us stipulate: Ken Starr was a prurient, partisan zealot. Yes, other ex-presidents have made a lot of money and it is hard to begrudge Clinton his earnings (even if he did take six million nickels for a speech to the Australian Council for the Peaceful Reunification of China). Yes, Obama is a daring opponent who thinks he is hot shit and has benefited from the same enthusiasm, energy, and fresh-faced appeal that a fella named Bill Clinton once elicited (but he has suffered from some of the same skepticism, too). It is Clinton’s invariable insistence that his problems are someone else’s fault, and that questions or criticisms of him, his methods, motives, or means are invariably unfair, that is his unforgivable flaw.

If anyone thinks that the Clenis will actually “support” the new Messiah (uh… apparently a Messiah presently without a church) they’re crazy. Hillary is going to put on a facade and Bubba is going to “clandestinely” try to sabotage Barry. But frankly, BHO doesn’t appear to need any help with that. The dude’s a pending disaster of a candidate.

Right on the money, ALLAHPUNDIT. Billy Jeff has never taken responsibility for his screw-ups. He always blames someone else and the whole Democrat party attitude when we confronted him, was “so what?”, or “every man does it”. A huge pile of “Bravo Sierra”. Hopefully, this will prove to be a strong “smack down” for he and his wife. But they still won’t learn a thing from it. It’ll still be “our fault”. Jeez.
Roger Brown on June 1, 2008 at 10:25 PM
I hope you are right, Sugar Land. I would love to see the Clintons go about undermining Obama. What fun that would be.
Everyone would know it and that would forever destroy any run for president by any Clinton after that.

About 98.5% of everything that could have possible gone wrong with Shillary’s Campaign From Hell can be laid firmly at the feet of Good Ol’ Boy Bubba Billy, or in this case, at his big fat mouth. Every single time something was uttered from between his teeth, she dropped about 6 percentage points in the polls, yet she seemed to feel it was perfectly OK for him to go out on the campaign trail and throw a hissy fit here, and another one there, and another one there, and so on and so on. Even her now infamous Tuzla Sniper Fire gaffe pales in comparison to the rousing rounds of Bronx Cheers her husband got at virtually every single campaign stop he made, and unfortunately for her, he made a whole lot of them, and left a whole slew of very pissed off people in his wake. They even lost their once invincible Hollywood connections during this whole bold but dumb experiment exercise in reverse-campaigning the Clinton Clan was engaged in.
In the end, you can also contribute the remaining 1.5% of what went wrong with Hiil The Shill’s campaign with what has now been affectionately refered to in the MSM as “Clinton Fatigue”; namely that people, Democrats especially, are now just plain sick and tired of these two and would like very much for them to go away, preferably far away.
The bottom line is that the once mighty Clinton Era has at long last breathed its last gasp. Only thing remaining is for Hill to formally and finally announce that the Fat Lady has at long last burst into gusty bravura.
Maybe then we can wish Shillary and Company a long overdue adieu. And make sure she takes her fellow shills Lanny Davis and Harold Ickes with her!

Bill Clinton shepherded the death of of industrial America as did his party. The United States is rusting away and the clarion call to the lemmings who live in the rust belt is hope, change, experience. Take your pick morons.
This week in Michigan Ford announced 12000 layoffs and at the same time announced 3.5 billion in new investments in Mexico for the global Fiesta.
Just about everything I buy says made in China including fucking plywood, which I found out was made on a Chinese ship sitting off the coast of Washington using US lumber.
I’m not a protectionist but I am a patriot and want alternatives to outsourcing and the destruction of our local communities.
Let’s see some of Billy Jeff’s anger projected towards solutions to real problems rather than his sense of loss regarding his self perceived legacy.
His fat cow of a wife is just as vapid as he is.

This is a guy who was in the limelight or even better yet
Bill Clinton was the Limelight, this was a guy who was so
obcessed with the Middle East Peace, he had Yesser Arafat
sit on a bench,in the Rose Garden, while he had Monica
perform a tune up,and service,in the form of an oil change
so to speak!
Then we had Bill,on prime time, address the American people
and red faced, finger extended and pointed at the camera,
so you the viewer, were looking at Bill, all pissed off and
telling you, with anger that “I did not have sex, with that
women,Ms.Lewinsky!
There was an episode where a journalist at a press conferenc
asked a question,and Bill said,with anger,”I can’t believe
you asked me that”,and on a dime, went to the next question!
Then there’s the whole nine yards of Bimbo gate, and Bill’s
anger of being caught, and the most amazing part of that saga
was Bill’s ability, with the help of the Liberal press, who at
the time were agaga of Bill’s ability to”Compartmentalization”,that is his ability to be President
and have all his problems in little rooms of his brain,so
Bill could still be an affective President!
And the greatest and best yet, that Bill pulled off, which
still baffles my brain,is his ability to sick the Liberal
Press on Republican’s,pundit’s,Kenneth Starr,as if they
were the ones who were guilty, and not lying, cheating,
angry Bill!
And,then, there’s the angry verbal ambush that Bill Clinton
layed into Fox News interview!
So,Bill, with besmirching the African Americans, the American
people, and the Liberal press, you just can’t keep your mouth
shut,so enjoy the results,that being,the centrefuge of
destorying your wifes chances of POTUSOA!!!

Well, Allah, of course you nailed it…but what democrat can you not say this about…well, maybe one or two examples if you spend a day or two thinking really hard (and when you find an example, you have to think really hard if they really ARE a democrat)…but Willy Jeff exemplifies the dem mindset…that of the petulant child who blames every contrary outcome to others…like the spoiled kid in Willy Wonka…never his fault. But it’s larger than him, he’s just a minor (and now irrelevant) symptom of a world view that has gripped the dems (and ever increasingly more of this country) for the past 30 years…being a victim is good!

In the end, this is
ClintonBush’s most grievous sin, his steady refusal to take grown-up responsibility for the consequences of his own actions.Mainly, his responsibility in the defeat of America in Iraq for five years by groups of thugs.
Bush had the audacity to send America to an unplanned war and like a chicken, he hid under his desk in the Oval Office when things go wrong.
Bush is a coward who should have never been in the White House in the first place if our system of voting was like the rest of the world: one person, one vote.
I have had it with the Bush family.
Go and don’t ever let us hear from you and your family.
By the way, if you have the intention to call me “liberal,” don’t bother, just ignore my message. I’m not writing it for you anyway.

You’re 100% spot on, this is what I said under another posting. McCain has to run from these guys, it’s imperative. I blame Rove and Cheney more than Bush though. Bush’s big problem is he is too easily led and too stubborn for his own good.

Bush bears responsibility whether he was influenced to make a decision or not.
It was HIS decision at the end of the day.
He NEVER apologized for his failures in Iraq.

This thread is not about Bush or Iraq. Don’t you ever get exhausted with saying the writing the same thing on blogs everyday? Bush is a failure. Iraq is a huge failure. You’ve made you’ve said it a thousands times. Your not saying anything new. You’ve got your message. Now the country disapproves of him and IRAQ. What else do want? His head?
terryannonline on June 2, 2008 at 1:49 AM
As long as George W. Bush is president, and as long as an occasion arise where I can talk about his miserable failures and especially not admitting them, I’ll say it loud and clear.
Don’t read my messages if they bore you.
I don’t want his head. I don’t want to hear or see him again, and all his extended family. Nor would I want to hear or see the Clintons, the Husseins and the McCains.
Like I wrote previously, I will put my name on the ballot, meaning that I am going to vote for myself.
If every honest American who share the same conservative values as I do would vote for himself or herself, this country will change to the direction we want, not to the lesser of two evils.

I’m sure that was submitted arguendo, but I agree with the commenters who wrote that this wasn’t really fair to Starr. From the Vanity Fair article:
If Hillary:
1) Loses the super delegate battle and the nomination,
2) Realizes that Bill hurt her more than he helped her (for example in South Carolina), and
3) Concludes that she might have won the nomination if it hadn’t been for his “help”
Then:
Hillary might help ensure that Bill takes his last breath before she tries to run again.
Red Pill on June 2, 2008 at 1:20 PM
AP shoots, he scores! “In the end, this is Clinton’s most grievous sin, his steady refusal to take grown-up responsibility for the consequences of his own actions.’
Yes, and if somehow Hilly executes a coup’ on the nomination Billy will be her (Achilles) heel–he always has been.
I will pick this bone however:
I agree that “Ken Starr was a prurient, partisan zealot” but I need to add that his worst sin was that wouldn’t go after the real issues such as Chinagate. In that case, BJ really could have been charged with Treason. His sex, (etc), addiction is/was bad enough, but his treasonous activities show how maniacal he was and still is about personal power. The twisted, cowardly lion doth project 24/7.
As much as i would like to see the Clintons exiled to, maybe Venezuela, I’m not looking forward to hearing that BJ showed up somewhere with his pants around his ankles, shouting obscenities at anyone who would listen. Things are bad enough now for Bubba, I don’t want him to humiliate us all any longer.
