Hello, I’m Barack Obama, and I would like to speak to you today about the importance of judging a man by what he promises to do in the future, rather than by his accomplishments, or the behavior of his friends. Like you, I have been absolutely shocked to discover that every single one of my friends is an anti-American lunatic, a cynical fire-breathing hate monger, or a terrorist sociopath. I’m struck by the similarities between myself and Scott McClellan, who is also a good and decent man of absolute honor and integrity who was forced to live a life of silent, helpless rage as he was surrounded by evil. How many Sunday mornings did we share a mystic connection, as I sat and gnawed at my lip while my pastor spewed venom to the throngs of cheering morons seated in the pews around me, while Mr. McClellan was forced to mouth the empty propaganda of an Administration he hated from the depths of his gentle, innocent soul? With your help, I believe I can bring poor Scotty a noble administration he will be proud to serve in, and a noble message of Hope and Change he will be proud to repeat. Meanwhile, I will actually begin to listen to what people around me are saying, and you can count on me to speak up when the leaders of Iran begin spitting the kind of bile my pastor threw in my face for twenty years. I have decades of barely-suppressed righteous rage, which I am ready to unleash on the very next person who says something unkind about Jews in my presence. Thank you, and good night.

What He has demonstrated is needless cruelty, selfishness, irrational vindictiveness, an never-ending desire for praise, and an unwillingness to communicate effectively.

I for one thought it very canned humor, and given his appearance, I’d say he’s a liturgical preacher, not particularly given to humor as part of his public speaking. In poor taste, you say? Consider what people have said from a certain pulpit in Chicago under the guise of sheperds and minders of the Church, and tell me which is in poor taste: A weakly spoken joke at a political event, or Wright’s & Pfleger’s bile on a Sunday morning, guised and gilded as Hominy? At least this Parson knows it’s said as humor.
