The last ‘video’ was heavily edited. Mostly what we’ve gotten have been audio that’s difficult to verify as authentic. That’s not to say that he isn’t alive, although I think he’s probably dead, but it is interesting that no clear, unmistakable video has emerged for a few years.

It would seem that this guy would know it for certain if bin laden is alive and he wouldn’t claim he’s dead if he knows he’s alive because what if a living bin laden wanted to do some propaganda tapes in the future?

I think he really does believe obl is dead and doesn’t particularly find the ghost tapes useful to him. If bin laden appears on an unambiguous video and removes all doubt, Mehsud would die.

Sarjex, I tend to think it would be the opposite. I’ve seen dem talking heads laugh and flat out say that they would downplay it and start hammering on something else. Remember when they were screaming why can’t we get Zarkowi? When we did, it suddenly wasn’t important anymore.
As to Bin laden , he’s been nuetralized six ways from Sunday, so I don’t really care- although I’d love for the SOB to die a slow and painful death.
