It never ceases to amaze me just how misinformed the general populace is about newsmaking events. I think I've made my Dad a convert though. He still reads our local paper everyday, but is now skeptical about what's being reported. In point of fact, the NYT report on McCain's/Bush's veto of Jim Webb's GI Bill, without informing the public of the better Bill presented by McCain. At least I don't get angry over the lies any longer. Whenever these topics come up, I just tell people the facts and print articles to support them.

God Bless Michael Yon for his dedicatation and sacrifice to get the truth out about how great our military is and the many heros we can all be proud of (except Michelle Obama, of course). His work will be invaluable to historians. I ordered the book from Amazon. Thank God for the internet.

That was an excellent hour spent on this Memorial Day.

Thank you, Captain Ed, for your excellent interview questions. Major media could learn quite a bit about developing thoughtful, intelligent questions, about responding to the interviewee's remarks with appropriate follow up, and about allowing the responder to fully expand on his points. You covered quite a bit of material quite well.

I have deep admiration for the work that Michael Yon has done in keeping us informed about events in both Iraq and Afghanistan. If the major networks and cable stations refuse to cover these dispatches, surely our tax dollars should support reports of Yon's (and Totten's) work on PRS or NPR.

Yon presents facts on the ground in a realistic way, not propagandizing nor sugarcoating. His realistic appraisals are welcomed.

Closing out with an air guitar of "High Tides and Green Grass", eh? That reminds me of playing a frantic game of Monopoly with my brother and his friends too many years ago to admit, with the escalating frenzy of that tune playing in the background. LOL Thanks for the memories.

At least we have the Internet and talk radio these days. Imagine a world with only the alphabet channels as in the Reagan years. Ooo, scary!

Our compliments for this encore presentation.

As per "going to the bookstore" expecting to find ANY book contrary to the uber-left, enjoy leaving the sanctimoneously smaller carbon footprint while ordering online first.

These independent journalists need someone to take their footage and create an independent film to promote their work and their stories left untold otherwise. If the twin cities don't already have an indy film fest, how about you conservatives organizing one for the likes of Yon and Totten and other budding young conservatives.

Watched it all, outstanding show! God Bless you Michael Yon for doing the important work so many refuse to do, our prayers go with you.

Nice air guitar Ed, I didn't know you played. Did you buy that one on eBay?

This is great stuff, but who sees it except for us HotHeads? I went to the book store to buy Yon's book expecting to see several copies and they didn't even have it, I had to order it.

I've seen Micheal on Fox News but most people still don't know who he is, and the same goes for Micheal Totten.

We're up against a huge media machine that is out to make the opposite of the truth true and the truth unknown.
