Interview: Outside the Wire’s JD Johannes

For Memorial Day, I want to give Hot Air readers a chance to listen to three interviews I have conducted this year with men who have fought in and reported from Iraq. The first of these features J.D. Johannes, who produced and directed the documentary Outside the Wire. Johannes covered the war in 2005 by embedding with his old Marine unit, and returned in 2007 to document the Anbar Awakening and the surge. I spoke with him at CPAC to learn more about his efforts and the progress in the war:
