Ok she is a dingbat, but there is something huge missed here:
This You Tube Post is of a Chinese News Station gathering opinion on this. I think they are trying to make a bigger deal than what it is to create an anti sentiment within the Chinese population towards what they see as outside meddling in internal Chinese affairs (Tibet). One only has to look at the Chinese comments on You Tube to realize just how effective this propaganda peice is.

Well of course the victims of the earthquake are not responsible for the crimes against Tibet, BUT she wasn’t altogether wrong about the fact that China has been “unkind” (purposeful understatement of the year) to Tibet. In fact, I’m kind of glad she poked and prodded the Chinese (Chinese politicians, that is) to, at least, think about what they are doing in Tibet, even if the karmic connection is silly. What the Chinese have done to Tibet is despicable, and they should be called to task, though I agree this way is not very tasteful. The part about how the Tibetans offer to help the Chinese nevertheless, should not be overlooked because it says something true about their character. Ms. Stone was right to point out that fact. Is she a nutty liberal? I don’t know. She seems pretty cool to me, at least in that clip.

I agree with both of you. She seems to be saying that her initial reaction was to think this was justice but that the letter she received was like a rebuke in that it set her straight.

I’m not a huge fan of her (I don’t hate her either), but I think people are getting upset over nothing.

Maybe she does think that, but it’s irrelevant what she thinks about her opinion. The fact is that she was asked her opinion. She didn’t grab a bullhorn to tell the world she thought of karma when she first heard the news, a microphone was put in her faced.

The people who think her opinion is important are reporters and people like us who care to listen.
