At some point, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the West have to find some way to satisfy legitimate Pashtun political concerns while separating those from radical Islamism.

I don’t see how that’s possible, given the blending of mosque and state in Islam and the Pashtun tribes’ devotion to sharia. It would require their secularization, which I don’t see happening any time soon.

No, Pakistan capitulated, and now it’s up to us to make sure the enemy does not feel safe in the lands ceded to him.

Ya know, maybe the hildebeast had a point about assasinations and all. With his no preconditions methodology of negotiating with terrorists and despot nation rulers, Comrade Obambi is competing really hard for a Darwin Award. Unfortunately, he just might win it too.
