You have narrow definitions of these things. Here are Congressmen Jim McDermott, David Bonior, and Mike Thompson in Baghdad undermining US policy while on a junket paid for by Saddam Hussein. The “General Betray-Us” ad was subversive. Fahrenheit 9/11 was basically enemy propaganda. There’s plenty of reasons why Iran might get the impression that we can’t get our act together.

Couldn’t agree more Dale. Hard to believe that this traitor came within a few million votes from owning the most powerful position in the world. Betray your country; stand with us as we fight the righteous battle against the evil empire, and you could wind up president of the USA… Hard to believe that Kerry’s behavior lead him on a path to become the leader of the free world! It fact it is the irrational fear of conflict by our left and the constant hand wringing and active subversion of our efforts in Iraq that has sent the wrong signals to the Iranians and that ironically have made war possible now.

Concerning the Military, war is not a game. Careful calculations must be made including assessing losses.

And again I never hinted to invading Iran, which will be a complete suicide.

I don’t understand the mentality that casts our military as a victim. The last people that will accept your characterization of our military as victims is our military. All of us volunteered to put on the uniform and to do what was necessary to safeguard those that haven’t felt the need to sacrifice for the country.

I know many have misconceptions of what a war with iran will look like and some of those misconceptions serve certain political viewpoints but an occupation of iran is not in the cards. However there is no need to occupy Iran in order to defang Iran (especially of their strategic strike capability and regime infrastructure). If the oppressed Iranian minorities do not rise after we start hitting the governing apparatus then they are beyond hope.

The U.S. Military in the Middle-East will be the victim, make no mistake about it, whether Iran has the Bomb or not.

If that’s the price to pay to have peace and save the Oil, then I don’t know what to say. Ask the American people and especially the soldiers’ families if that’s what they want.

I understand the confidence about our military power, but remember, Iran is not Iraq.

Remember also that even though Iraq had no Military, we failed to completely secure that nation so far after 5 years of the invasion.

You don’t need a regular Military to defeat Israel and America. I think it has been very obvious in the recent years, not to mention the Russian defeat in Afghanistan.

We live in a different world where tanks and other common and historically known weapons became irrelevant.

I don’t have a clear solution now for that problem, but I laid out the risks and only daily events on the ground will dictate the next steps.

“Can of worms” or not, in games theory the losing side is usually the side that absorbs the first hit. I know many are afraid of a war with Iran but it is coming no matter who is in the White House and whether we leave Iraq or not.

The question that needs to be asked by those of you who are afraid of a new war is at what price peace?

It’ll be bloody and messy but our military can do the job now before there are nukes on the table.

rest assured that when there are nukes on the table the butchers bill will be unthinkable…

Just by scanning the media in the mideast it is obvious everyone is preparing for war right now.

Obviously Kerry is a legend in his own mind as well as
his world view,I guess the history of Iran was taught
in two different camps!

1/ The first camp,knows all about the murdering and
terrorist activities of Iran for the last 40 years
including the on going activities directed at the
Israels and Americans!

2/ The second camp are those that have been indocturnated
in the Liberal schools who see Iran as a victim by Israel
and America that just wants peaceful nuclear energy!

And the youth who discuss Iran, are seeing Iran from a
viewpoint of niave young minds that have not been taught
or educated at the horrors of Iranian shit-distrubing
around the planet!

John Kerry can’t be that obtuse,but he still fits in camp
