that’s the smartest obama supporter I’ve seen yet.

lorien1973 on May 23, 2008 at 10:04 PM

LOL….instant classic!

Limerick on May 23, 2008 at 10:05 PM

Dear gawd…animal abuse.

But then, aren’t all Obama supporters just parrots anyway?

JetBoy on May 23, 2008 at 10:07 PM

That’s animal abuse if I’ve ever seen it….where is PETA when you need them?

Wise Golden on May 23, 2008 at 10:08 PM

He’s gotta be on the ‘short list’.

pistolero on May 23, 2008 at 10:11 PM

About the average IQ of an Obama supporter. And they all give the same, mindless repetitive phrase.

amerpundit on May 23, 2008 at 10:12 PM

I hope his cage is lined with the NYT.

jgapinoy on May 23, 2008 at 10:12 PM

4. Propaganda must label events and people with distinctive phrases or slogans.(Hope, Change, Yes We Can!)

a. They must evoke desired responses which the audience previously possesses(Hope, Change, Yes We Can!)

b. They must be capable of being easily learned(Hope, Change, Yes We Can!)

c. They must be utilized again and again, but only in appropriate situations(Hope, Change, Yes We Can!)
—————

– So easy to learn and repeated enough that now even a bird is saying it..

That african grey parrot needs to be immortalized in photoshop form like so many others have been done here.

There’s a joke in there somewhere.

But then, aren’t all Obama supporters just parrots anyway?

Have you ever actually talked to one of them? It’s unbearable. So uninformed. All they do is repeat his catchphrases. At least some Hillary supporters I’ve met are somewhat articulate and informed on issues/events.

that’s the smartest obama supporter I’ve seen yet.

I think Barry is putting him in charge of foreign policy. “Appeasement! Baaak! Negotiate with terrorists and terrorist states without preconditions! Baaak!”

Awesome. I live in a college town and I LOVE to watch them run around with their Obama stickers and buttons. Soooooooo dumb. It’s even more fun to confront them with (gasp!) actual issues….. ;-)

malan89 on May 23, 2008 at 10:21 PM

Oh, yeah. There’s this one woman I know…she’s very nice and all, but when she talks of Obama, it’s just like you said…catch-phrases, and otherwise uninformed. It really just IS “Hope” and “Change”. And how “he’ll make a great leader” because he’s all against war and weapons. The world will love us again, and Obama will make friends out of our enemies.

It makes no sense. Well, at least this bird wasn’t trained to sing that campy “Hillary for U and Me!” tune…

JetBoy on May 23, 2008 at 10:36 PM

MSNBC’s official mascot.
It will be moderating their next debate.

clghitis on May 23, 2008 at 10:38 PM

Somewhere there’s another parrot incessantly complaining about the Federal Reserve, what really happened on 9/11, and, of course, those filthy Jeeeewwwwwwws.

any bets on how long that parrot lives after Obama totality messes up this country up?

F15Mech on May 23, 2008 at 10:48 PM

How long before MSNBC hires him?

phronesis on May 23, 2008 at 11:05 PM

You better let that bird vote else you’re a speciesist.

pistolero on May 23, 2008 at 10:11 PM

Obama’s? Or McCain’s?

Watcher on May 23, 2008 at 11:33 PM

By learning how to say those words the bird has become qualified to be the Democrat candidate for president.

And I’m willing to be that he has a better foreign policy and more experience in leadership positions than Obama.

29Victor on May 23, 2008 at 11:35 PM

Critics of Evo Morales used to draw cartoons of his head on a parrot, and the parrot sitting on Hugo Chavez’s shoulder.

Just sayin’

Hannibal Smith on May 23, 2008 at 11:37 PM

That is more appropriate than words can express…..

Saltysam on May 23, 2008 at 11:47 PM

Dumb bird can’t say “Change we can believe in”, yet.

Entelechy on May 23, 2008 at 11:49 PM

Now we need a parrot that mimics Jeremiah Wright.

Mark1971 on May 23, 2008 at 11:53 PM

We already have that…..Michelle Obama.

AYNBLAND on May 24, 2008 at 12:01 AM

Bwaaack…Barry can’t please the crackers! Bwoock!

BL@KBIRD on May 24, 2008 at 12:11 AM

Ugh, too many cheesy (but funny because of their accuracy) jokes…. Things along the lines of parroting stupid catch phrases, bird brains being to stupid to think so they just repeat idiotic slogans just like Barry’s human supporters, etc. etc.

Basically what I was first going to say was already used by a YouTube commenter, but I’ll just throw it up here anyway, as it wraps it up in one neat little package:

Classic obama supporter: A bird brain who literally parrots the lines that the movement has fed him.

RightWinged on May 24, 2008 at 12:43 AM

Bwaaack…Barry can’t please the crackers! Bwoock!

BL@KBIRD on May 24, 2008 at 12:11 AM

“Barry wanna cracker . . . vote.”

Ahem.

geckomon on May 24, 2008 at 12:54 AM

Some of the birds in my neighborhood are beginning to say strange things, too. But they don’t seem to be that left wing. Mostly they sing early in the morning. They often wake me up with this early morning verse:
“Chirp Chirp Gore is a jerk.”
“Chirp, Chirp, Hillary is scary,
Chirp Chirp Kerry is a fairy….

And much more pleasant chirping.

I love my Yardbirds.

Travis1 on May 24, 2008 at 12:55 AM

Those damn things live forever. You will be hearing Obama, yes we can 30 years from now.

DFCtomm on May 24, 2008 at 12:57 AM

RushBaby on May 23, 2008 at 10:26 PM

or
It barely has a leg to stand on!

Actually the bird had it’s other leg tucked up in it’s belly. Some birds do that when they perch, at least mine do.

RushBaby on May 23, 2008 at 10:26 PM

The BIRD ’08!

91Veteran on May 24, 2008 at 1:00 AM

Giving us the bird huh AP?

91Veteran on May 24, 2008 at 1:02 AM

Now just need to teach him “Reverend Wright…God Damn America” and “Will Ayers…didn’t do enough”.

Oh, and RushBaby, birds often will put all their weight on one foot and tuck the other one away. Mine do all the time.

Kini on May 24, 2008 at 1:37 AM

Missed the main joke- having the bird say:

Bar-raaa-aaack! Bar-raaa-aaack!

Which already sounds just like a dyspeptic chicken talking to itself.

But a B for the effort.

*smooch* SWEETIE.

Ken McCracken on May 24, 2008 at 8:12 AM

That’s hilarious.

Probably took longer to get the bird to say that than it does for the typical liberal to swoon.

I wonder if Matthews has seen this bird…..

drjohn on May 24, 2008 at 8:32 AM

Looks like Obama has his own AFLAC duck. If he was politically astute, he would hire the bird.

percysunshine on May 24, 2008 at 9:19 AM

So, is “Hello, Spunky Boy” the new Obama chant?

S on May 24, 2008 at 11:24 AM

Yeah, but, can he sing:

“Hey, Mister Tamborine Man, play a song for me,
I’m not sleepy and there ain’t no place I’m goin’ to…

;-D

Now that I think about it, the bird, rather than saying BAARAAACK, might have been saying GLOOOOOOCK.
