The great lie is that oil componies are ripping the United States of America for exssive profites. Yet at the same time the taxes are at least twice as much at the pump as private investment profits. If the price of a gallon of gasoline is not driven by taxes then why when gasoline prices in the U.S. = $3.10 per gallon why does that same gallon cost $7.56 per gallon in England.

What about the folks who work in the oil industry? Do they not pay income taxes? Do they not pay property tax? Do they not pay sales tax?

If congress wants to impose “A WINDFALL PROFITS TAX” on oil companies who will the tax? You and I will pay the tax.

Now that I am done talking facts I would like to talk about what I think. I think that the reason gasoline seems expensive is that the U.S. does not have a good energy program.

The total lack of a policy of energy independance cost money and american lives. Oil is not the answer.

And PLEASE, to everyone in the news, stop trying to explain what other people meant to say. Maybe if moron Maxine thought before she opened her fat mouth she wouldn’t have “mis-spoken” and might have come up with nationalized on her own. (Though socialized energy could ensure that this numb-skull get re-elected.)
