1. Denial: “It can’t be happening.”
2. Anger: “Why McCain? It’s not fair.”
3. Bargaining: “I’ll hold my donation for a real conservative to emerge.”

4. Depression: “Neither party cares about me. What's the point?"
5. Acceptance: "To hell with all of them. Either one of these morons are going to bankrupt this country with stupid policies. Call me in 4 years with some real candidates that actually want to do something to help this country."

That bloated, plutocracy that we call Republicans in the House and Senate have driven a lot of folks away from the party. The Presidency is shaping up nicely for the Republicans, but the down-ticket races are a major concern, and the money is not showing up in their coffers. On the Dems side, their anger is directed at the DNC and all those lame consultants that they insisted on hiring, and their money is showing up in the local organizations. So the Republicans are not as mad at their national party as the Dems are, but are angrier at the individual Congress folks than the Dems are.

Follow the money. Your heart might be where your fortune is, but you will put your fortune where your heart is.

Do they call it “double entry” for a reason?

“St. McCain will have to ask his Sugar Mama Cindy to bail him out if this continues. In financial disclosure reports released Tuesday night, Obama reported raising $32 million for his primary in April and banked an aggregate of more than $9 million for the general election. In contrast, McCain reported raising just $18.5 million for his primary account in April and having no money set aside for the general…”

Aren't Republicans always behind in the polls at this time? Doesn't seem to matter a lot, though.

McCain's still behind in the polls. Doesn't matter what money is in the bank. It's Obama's year and it's the fault of those who voted for Dempublican McCain. Thanks guys. Nice vote you made there.

I gave to McCain. Not a lot.

I can't compete with the Democrats on billionares' row in San Francisco.... but then again I am not a Lear Jet liberal, a caviar socialist or a rich pampered white liberal hoping to assuage some guilt with a big fat contribution to the campaign of the first African American President.

As bad as the thought is of seeing a dim in the whitehouse, I reserve my contributions until McCain names his VP runningmate. THEN I will know if I want to support the Rep nom with my dollars, or keep my money in the event that all hell breaks loose on our country.

Of course, thanks to John McCain, the RNC won't be able to use a dime of that money on advertising in the last 60 days before the election, i.e. exactly the length of time between the convention and the election.

Don’t worry, foreigners and the mob will send Hussein Obama thousands and thousands of $185 donations via the Internet.

Well, FARC is about tapped out, but Hamas probably has quite a bit or U.S. provided ordnance they could sell for some ready cash. Iran and Soros are flush. The Teamsters mob connections will feel a bit more flexible what with Obama promising to eliminate federal oversight on criminal activity. then there are the BLT churches. So, cash flow won’t be a problem.

5. Acceptance: “It’s going to be OK.”

Or at least a whole lot better than Obama. I haven't donated, but will do so after the VP announcement if I can stomach the choice. With Obama as the opponent, it would have to be spectacularly bad to lose my vote.

That horse is still in the race, if you haven't noticed.

Besides, super delegates are there to make sure regular delegates vote the [w]right way.
The way the party bosses want.

Hillary is now $31 MILLION in the hole. How can she run our country if she can’t even manage her own campaign?

That's how the senate (lowest approval rating in history so we choose presidents from that pool) runs the country. Ask McCain how he will pay for the government programs for all the illegals he wants to legitimize out of compassion. He'll have the country go into debt just like he did with his campaign.

I thought McCain decided to use public funding anyway. Weren't most of the donations to the Republican party and not to McCain? Anyway, it doesn't matter. This year is a perfect example of why voting is over rated. Vote NONE OF THE ABOVE!

The McCain GOP nomination stages are:

 1. Denial: "It can't be happening."
 2. Anger: "Why McCain? It's not fair."
 3. Bargaining: "I'll hold my donation for a real conservative to emerge."
 4. Depression: "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"
 5. Acceptance: "It's going to be OK."
