That’s really sad. Oh well.

McCain wasn’t my first, second, or third choice among the GOP field. He may not have even been my fourth choice (can’t remember other also rans). But he’s so far and away better than Obama that I have to support him now.

And my mom always taught me that I could catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Why on earth should McCain pick somebody who Malkin and Ingraham would like for VP? They have done everything they could to burn any bridge to McCain … burn those bridges and salt the earth for miles around as well.

But then they repeatedly squeal that McCain isn’t swimming the river, climbing the ravine, and crawling over salted ground to court them. Um, ladies?

Besides, what’s up with the thread’s misleading headline, “Ingraham to MKH: McCain shouldn’t have appeared on SNL”? Is this sour grapes that Bryan got a job with Laura and isn’t playing marbles daily with Allahpundit anymore?

Laura didn’t say that exactly. She did say that her audience mostly feels as she does, and MKH agreed that MAYBE McCain shouldn’t fawn over the SNL sponsors considering that he snubs his conservative base.

That people on this blogsite jumped all over Laura Ingraham is disappointing, to say the least. You ought to have heard her attack the DA who suppressed evidence and convicted our Border Patrol agents for doing their work with enthusiasm that deserved credit, not punishment–a shot in the ass. Laura’s agenda is nothing a respectable person would trounce. As per age difference, there is no big distinction, so all the more smoke spouted in this thread. Notice that Laura and MKH are friends. MKH has her friends and that’s great. Playing friends against each other is vile.

I can be quite critical at times as to what candidates may do on the trail, but I really liked his appearance on SNL.

Had McCain allowed himself to be used in one of the raunchier segments, then he would have a problem, since it would be YouTubed three times around the world by now. But as I said before, the first segment was actually a little on the dull side at points, as McCain explained his opposition to pork-barrel spending before we ever got to the jokes, while the second skewered Hillary and Obama, with a side jab taken at Silky Pony.

Laura may still be seething that Republicans gave McCain the nomination, but when she opposed him, she needs to pick her fights better than the one with MKH on Monday night.
