Is there a website that is chronicaling the list of movies that attack America / conservatives / traditional values?

I would love to see the running list of actors, directors, screewriters, studios .. that have been putting this cinema crap out over all these years.

BTW, my vote for movie title would be:

JAR JAR LUCAS AND THE TEMPLE OF POON

Ha ha, touché.

Perhaps I was a little harsh on you. The dual combination of your music and movie taste made my head spin. I apologize.

For the record, I listen to classical, drum and bass, and underground hip-hop.

JungleZits,

Really? Phantom Menace had a Backstreet Boy in it? I didnt know that.

You seem to be quite the authority on Backstreet Boys. So, what is that Backstreet Boy's favorite foods? What does that Backstreet Boy like to do for fun? Since you have an encyclodpedic knowledge of them, I thought you might want to gush to us heteros what your fantasy boys do in their spare time and what their favorite colors are and stuff.

BTW, I live in Orange County, California. I havent seen any hillbillies here. However, I have seen a few pigs on the wing.

You wouldnt understand. You are still shaking with excitement over the recent news that your favorite band is reuniting.

I take it you’re not a fan of Anime such as Naruto

Jones Zemkophill on May 17, 2008 at 3:39 PM

Yeah, I grew out of liking Japanamation when everyone kept telling me my first year in film school that I had to sit through the laughably bad Japanese-language version of that old Space Crusier Yamato series to "get it," that Hayao Miyazaki was the greatest artist of the 20th century, and that Akira would eventually win the Academy Award for "Best Film Ever Made."

They were all high--I was not.

My friend has made plenty of money directing voice overs for translated Japanimated content for a company in Ft. Worth but after a few beers away from work he admits the writers of even the "more mature" original Japanimated content are not the greatest; it's convoluted, illogical, lazy, and hard to swallow storytelling covered by a sugary coating of gimmicky animated tricks.

Which, of course, circles right back around and brings us back to George Lucas' content output for the past ten years.

Incidentally, you are the second hillbilly to threaten me with death this week. All of that aside, your beloved Phantom Menace actually stars a Backstreet Boy.

So let me see if I have this right: you listen to straight music but watch gay movies? Does that make you bisexual?

Tell you what--why don't you jump on your Pink Floyd "Vote Obama" pig and fly away. I promise I won't tell anyone.

Junglezits,

I promise not to seek litigation since there would be no point as you cannot sue a dead man.

I realize that in your world, Justin Timberlake and the BackStreet Boys is all the rave, but please dont use that as an excuse to put down hetero music.

Thanks. Ta.

If you would like to discuss this in person, let me know. I feel like kicking somebody’s ass.

I'd be delighted to discuss this with you on a one-on-one basis. Of course you would have to contractually agree that you would not seek litigation against me after I roundhouse kick you in the face.

Since only rednecks listen to Pink Floyd, please don't give in to the temptation to bring the shotgun on your truck rack.

Some people mange to keep Lucas in check; he wanted to make "Crystal Skull" about Indy actually fighting space aliens! But Spielberg and Ford managed to talk him out of it.

Wait and see how this movie does with critics and the box office, before worrying about what he might try with the next one.

VOTE SAURON 08-

LOL!

Most are exaggerating for effect when they say this, but I literally sprayed a laugh of spit all over my laptop screen when I read:

"INDIANA LeBOUEF AND THE CASTLE OF EWOKS".

Christ!

Thanks for making me go get the Bounty!

Lucas should just move on and make the movie about the Tuskeegee Airmen he always talks about in interviews and stop ruining his past ideas.

"Indiana Binks and the Time Portal of Tattooine"

LUCAS: Secretary, make yet another entry on the computer and file it in the "What the hell was I thinking?" folder.

The man has clearly lost it. But for you cinema and home theater junkies out there, let's give the guy his due.

He was the one (along with Tomlinson Holman) who forced theater owners to start showing movies in something other than a badly lit, noisy, cramped shoe box on a tiny screen with a pair of blown out speakers for a sound system. It was his influence on the THX Certification that has led to some pretty darn awesome sound and visuals in our cinemas and in our own living rooms.

Still, Shia?

It was his influence on the THX Certification that has led to some pretty darn awesome sound and visuals in our cinemas and in our own living rooms.

Still, Shia?

That they have made this Jones movie yet another cowardly Hollywood attack-by-lying on America and Bush only shows that Lucas/Spielberg have forgotten the reason for the massive success of their neo-B movies in the first place:
Movies as entertainment.
Star Wars, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Close Encounters, were all about entertainment. None of them were reminding us of what kind of bizarre lefty schmucks Hollywood culture produces. None of them were trying to make Americans feel rotten about being Americans. They were simply telling exciting stories well.
Now these nuveau riche aging artists, sitting on their $billions are out to teach us, not entertain us.
And unlike the "Narnia" series, what they are trying to teach us is dark, negative, demeaning and self-serving to the producers, and not very entertaining.
I guess the good news of this is that it will end up driving more people to "Prince Caspian", an entertaining story told well.

I was just thinking the other day that Lucas intended to have Shia be the "new" Indiana Jones. I have no angst against him. I liked him in "Constantine". I'll see how he is in this movie, whether he is a Jar Jar or not. The kid in the second movie was a Jar Jar.

Hmm, I think "Jar Jar" should become a knew adjective - to describe a character so annoying and doesn't belong in the film.

speaking of Disc World, someone did make ‘The Hogfather’ and it’s out on DVD now.. it was pretty good.. Also, ‘The Color of Magic’ ‘The Light Fantastic’ has just been made into a mini-series for the BBC as well.. should be on DVD here soon..

Hogfather freaking rocked. Color of Magic...I don't know. I actually liked Rincewind a lot more in Interesting Times; Cohen and the Silver Horde would be good for the fight scenes but I don't know if they could carry the whole movie...I tell you if they really wanted a Pratchett book that would translate well to the big screen, they'd take one of the Sam Vimes books; only bad thing about his stories though is they all build on each other. The pacing though is good; they're action packed, lots of great characters. Course, I don't know how big he is over here. A few years ago they had Discworld meet ups; basically, readers would get together, have coffee and talk Pratchett. There were 3 of us registered in Austin. There had to be 4...it never happened. Sigh.
As to Lucas, he's a giant tool when it comes to stories and casting (how you could cast that giant blonde douchebag as Darth Vader is completely beyond me)but he does some pretty wicked special effects. And even 30 years later, I still have fun watchin the old movies. He's not completely beyond redemption.

Thats an AWESOME idea, she looks like she could beat the sh*t out of someone if she wanted to. Unlike Shia, who looks like couldn't handle my younger sister...

Have it set on the Border India and Pakistan and call it.
