Does a withdrawal by Hillary after the primaries do anything to diminish her chances at the convention if Obama suddenly tanks? I think it does the opposite. Makes her much more appealing to the Obama supporters if he needs to be stacked in that large pile of bodies under the bus.

I’ve a friend, an earnest young woman who is a frosh at Cal, who will be very disappointed when HRC tanks. It’s a woman, thing, ya know? Dunno if she’ll throw her vote to BO when it happens or not. She classifies herself as “very liberal,” so I’d assume she’s not voting for McCain.

Hillary Clinton is just one Obama gaffe away from getting the nomination. There is also speculation that Clinton has dirt on Obama that would start that ball rolling.
