The Wii Fit also has a step aerobic mode, so it has some cardio.

If it gets people at the margin to exercise, I’m all for it. I managed to get a preorder from Amazon before they closed it off, and I’m actually looking forward to messing with it.

I -finally- finished “the snow storm” mission tonight. Took me like 20 tries. Damn cops on the way out were killin me each time. But I finally did it. Wife is glad I stopped cursing so much too :P

I could see myself on the snowboarding getting lost in the game physics trying to turn hard falling right over. I fell out of chairs just from playing things on my C-64 and 2600.

How does that equal “outside?”

Besides, a treadmill would take up most of my living room. I can barely make room for my Gazelle, and it’s half the size of a treadmill.

It’s rained every day here for the past three weeks. Every. Day. Often with tornados. And it’s showing no sign of stopping.

When I can get outside, I do. But I’ll pass on the lightning-dodging game (and the local winter favorite: freezing-rain ankle-snapping), if you don’t mind.

Why not save your money and get outside doing something, 3 to 5 times a week rather than play a game?

I’m 33 and had an Intellivision when I was 5. I always had friends who were obsessed with games, but I never caught the bug.
