Video: O’Reilly on his “Inside Edition” meltdown

It’s tucked away at the end of this latest edition of Hammertime. Skip ahead to 5:00 if you’re pressed for time or else settle in for (a) yet another tiresome Kos/David Duke analogy; (b) applause for a proposed New York State law that will make it a felony to videotape violent assaults — like, say, the Rodney King beating — and upload them to the Internet, at least until the statute’s inevitably struck down as unconstitutional; and (c) a quick take on the “Battle at Kruger” clip that I was the last person in America to see, during which MK pops off a one-liner that reduces Papa Bear to laughter — moments after he wonders whether our enjoyment of wildlife video proves how bloodthirsty we are. He’s kidding. I think.
As for the meltdown, you’ll be pleased to see that it’s handled with good humor. Exit question: Tomorrow night — the remix?

What about the University of Chicago “legitimizing” Ayers by making him a professor?
jgapinoy on May 14, 2008 at 10:20 PM
Give me a break… You know full well that’s not the kind of thing they are trying to ban. They’re trying to make it a felony to be a willing bystander directly involved in a beating, much like those teenage girls. Just because the one who was holding the camera didn’t get as many kicks in, doesn’t mean she isn’t just as responsible. If the Rodney King tape had been shot by one of the cops and passed around and laughed at by the cops, it should be a crime. There’s no way someone who is trying to bring to light a bad situation would ever be charged with this.

Dude! Animal shows are AWESOME.
Seriously, coolest thing ever, that lion jumped up like my cat when I sneak up on her.

BTW, thank you for no Redlasso.
Chakra Hammer on May 14, 2008 at 10:22 PM
Well I guess that answered my question. But, he didnt let MKH comment!
Vigilante on May 14, 2008 at 10:24 PM

canopfor on May 14, 2008 at 10:26 PM
I think O’Reilly needs to address this more maybe with the body language expert she can analyze the tape. :)
Like when he stood up and threw then pen and whipped off his jacket! LOL
Chakra Hammer on May 14, 2008 at 10:27 PM
All I’m saying is that if there really was an “O’Reilly’s Greatest Meltdowns” DVD for $14.95 on FoxNews.com with techno remixes I could use as ringtones, I’d buy it.
ScottMcC on May 14, 2008 at 10:28 PM
Heh. No kidding.
MKH completely won that round with the crocodile remark.
Spirit of 1776 on May 14, 2008 at 10:44 PM
Then charge them with that. There’s historic precedent for offenses like that; just codify it and leave the videotaping part out of it.
Allahpundit on May 14, 2008 at 10:45 PM
Happy to see Bill exposing that Markos slob again.
Have to clean my screen now.

Oh Mary Katherine, that was display of a razor sharp wit … Bravo !!

Hmmm, what do I comment on?
- I’ll shamelessly steal canopfor’s first comment – “MKH is radiant, and articulate as always,”
- There’s a reason why they’re called nutroots.
- I would think “conspiracy to commit” charges would cover the beatdown tapers.
- Nothing like a triple-threat match.
steveegg on May 14, 2008 at 10:59 PM
Allah, if memory serves I hadn’t yet been able to register to comment here. But had you not put that post up back in August, tonight would have been the first time I saw the water buffalo/large cat/crocodile video. So I thank you for your honest humility.
sondiehl on May 14, 2008 at 11:02 PM
True. I like it when criminals do this. The more evidence the better.
This law will end up getting someone in trouble for posting something as an expose’, whistleblowing, etc.

steveegg: Doh! PLAGIARISM! Ha ha!
canopfor on May 14, 2008 at 11:11 PM
It’s not plagiarism if one gives ample and proper credit :-)
Besides, I’m a man of few words.

steveeg: When Hope and HilRod were going after each other
over the plagiarism,I was waiting for the
opportunity to bring it up,in the spirit of
humour of course!
I’m honoured you used it,HE HE :)

ooops! sorry Steveeg,forgot the g!
canopfor on May 14, 2008 at 11:43 PM
Regardless of the fact that MKH was the winner of the verbal exchange, her relatively make-up free face made her “hotter than usual”
By the way, MKH is always hot.
awake on May 14, 2008 at 11:51 PM
Not only that, but while bumfights might be morally wrong, is two guys really participating in a amateur boxing/mma match really the same thing as the girls videotaping that assault? Most would say no, but I bet that law wouldn’t care. That’s one of those unintended consequences MKH was referring to.
apollyonbob on May 14, 2008 at 11:54 PM
Free speech includes free video.
.
MKH has eclipsed O’R.
.
Watching lions catching dinner is refreshing.
.
Freedom is what Americans decide is freedom. Can you name a people with more freedoms? I welcome your suggestions, and maybe the conservative pols can float bills to correct this in America?
.
Most of the congressional bills are pure crap.
.
If I was President, I would announce that I will not sign any bill over 1000 words, period.
AZCON on May 15, 2008 at 1:25 AM
No, but it is setting up unlicensed boxing. Which iirc is against the law in most states.

P.S. They don’t have the medics and all that they need.
MirCat on May 15, 2008 at 1:54 AM
MKH is more fantastic than words can express, as she graciously endures five minutes a week with the human crocodile.
BTW, allah, I also saw the Kroger tape for the first time so yesterday so you should feel MUCH better about yourself!
Having been in Africa on a photo safari years ago, I can tell you (and inform the beautious MKH) that they are Cape Buffalo (not Bison, which are AMERICAN buffalo not African) and that the Cape Buffalo is reknonwned in Africa as one of the Baddest animals that You Dont Mess With, Evah.
In fact, our tour guides said that of the top 4: Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Cape Buffalo, the one that the other animals fear the most is the Cape Buffalo.
Elephants are in a separate category.. they are more good natured than the Cape Buffalo and smarter too, but they are the one animal that EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE gets out of the way for when they wander in to a waterhole. No one messes with elephants. After that Cape Buffalo are next.
Great wildlife scene. How can idiot O’R bemoan our “bloodthirstiness” when Kill or Be Killed is the law of nature? I think MKH had it right, O’R is just annoyed the crocodile and lions went hungry.
Always Right on May 15, 2008 at 4:25 AM
O’R just wears me out and MKH, you’re too classy and cool to have to sit there and have him tell you when you’re right and when you’re wrong.
Buzzy on May 15, 2008 at 5:26 AM
Environmentally deranged and PETA types want to sue Water Buffalo for ganging up on a pride of defenseless lions who had just killed one of the Buffalo’s kids.
Dysfunctional as usual with no idea what makes the world go around. It is not LOVE, centrifugal force is what makes the world go around. Unfortunately, it does not spin fast enough to expel these types, whose thinking is not grounded in reality.

You know, Allah, there are really sobering issues facing all of us. I don’t know much about you, except that you’re still a bit young so a lot of the less savory parts of life still amuse you.
For a soon to be relic like me, some of this is initially funny. But our celebration of the crass and amoral has become a disease. It’s a very calculated ploy that has invaded our space bit by bit and clip by clip and textbook by textbook and teacher by teacher.
O’Reilly appears to be the only major personality willing to take it on almost singlehandedly, at a certain personal and professional risk. The rest of us should be so out there.
eaglesdontflock on May 15, 2008 at 11:03 AM
Yeah, and there’s NO WAY a prosecutor would falsely charge some guys with rape for political reasons.
