I don’t know if someone beat me to it, but I used “Obama Nation” on March 19th. I’m glad other people realize how bad it really could get if Obama were to be elected.

Hillary and McCain really aren’t that different, they just disguise it better.

I think he is either in the tank for Obama OR he gets so much negative feedback from sources that he can’t operate.. (so his website is basically a rehash of the MSM)

Sen. Clinton…held up the nomination of a FDA commissioner in order to force approval of Plan B and…spoke…during the Supreme Court nomination about the importance of protecting Roe vs. Wade

Think about those two actions for a moment.

1) Hillary held up the nomination of a FDA commissioner in order to force approval of Plan B.

2) Hillary promoted a Roe vs. Wade “litmus test” for a Supreme Court Justice.

If those actions are not just acceptable, but commendable in the eyes of liberals, then they have no grounds to complain if conservatives hold up nominations to get something they want and apply a Roe vs. Wade “litmus test” to a Supreme Court Justice nomination.

In 1997 Obama voted “present” on two bills aimed at banning so-called partial-birth abortion. In 2001 he voted “present” on three bills that fell under the rubric of “born-alive infant” legislation, and on a bill to require parental notification in cases when minors sought to have abortions.

Additionally, in 1997, Obama voted “present” on a proposal to drop the penalty for carrying a concealed gun from a felony to a misdemeanor.

On the narrower issue of “born alive” infants, Sutherland said, Planned Parenthood of Illinois worked last year with the anti-abortion group, the Illinois Federation of Right to Life, to pass legislation that protects infants that survive abortion procedures.

But Stanek said Obama was the only state senator to speak out on the legislation, and his actions there are “just one demonstration of how liberal he is.”

He had a 100 percent rating from the Illinois Planned Parenthood Council for his support of abortion rights, family planning services and health insurance coverage for female contraceptives.

Obama occasionally supported higher taxes, joining other Democrats in pushing to raise more than 300 taxes and fees on businesses in 2004 to help solve a budget deficit. The increases passed the Senate 30-28.

No, we can’t beat him on that issue. This goes to the heart of the problem facing the GOP. You can’t attack your opponent without offering solid alternatives that can be articulated. There is no republican brand except attacking the democrats plans and ideas without providing your own.

I’ll bow to your opinion. Frankly, politics isn’t my strongest suit. And you’re quite right about the need for the Reps. to have a philosophy. I was thinking of those Dems. who might vote for McCain this year, but are pro-abortion. I thought it might help McCain to point out that Obama is an extremist on this issue.

If Obama becomes tainted goods at the end of the primaries, and the super deligates are spooked, crazy things could happen at the convention.
