The problem was that the one time last time amnesty was supposed to be backed up with border enforcement, that is the only way it works. He has the right idea, just no follow up.

I also think he might have been a closet social libertarian, some of his actions gave me that feeling.

One problem that Republicans face today is that some people have decided to create an impossible standard in Reagan by turning him into something he never was.

I remember Romald Reagan too. I donated a bunch of bucks to his re-election. He was absolutely awesome. He fired the air traffic controllers without apology. He did a one time/last time amnesty that people in the current GOP are pretending was a not the last amnesty. Reagan’s standard was not impossible. It was possible. He proved it. A great great great man.

Reagan was interestingly responsive to public outcry. He backed down from his comment on cutting down amcient redwoods (“when you have seen one tree, you’ve seen them all”) and he backed down on cutting the trees because the public did not want it.

The public was against the air controller’s strike and Reagan hired replacement workers. The public was sick of the middle east deaths and relieved when Reagan pulled out.

It was this responsiveness that won me over and made me firmly conservative. He was a great, great man

Unlike Bush and his gang of how many who salted elections to set up the amnesty bill and tried to ram it in on holidays, weekends and without warning despite public outrage.

The Reagan standard is very achievable. You just have to be truly conservative, truly honorable.

Or we could elect another phoney like Bush, America’s first mariachi President, who contracts out a toll road cutting across America to a non-American contractor, for his nation-merging goals

Levin was lucky to know Reagan personally and work with him. Levin knows well that Reagan standard is not an impossible standard, it is simply a standard worth electing

I think what I’m getting at is obvious to understand..

you can’t carry on your person LARGE amounts of 12GA shells.. they are pretty heavy and bulky, not like a pistol(different animal)

kind of like comparing a lever action Rifle to a Black Powder Rifle.. it’s like someone’s gonna shoot faster..(not to say that more is better if it doesn’t hit but gotta take the worse case scenario)

they kill real good, just kind of hard to get accurate Forensic ballistics off of them(other then the the obvious if you have the case which would then probably have a finger prints on it anyhow.. ), also they are large only have 3-8 rounds.. etc..

It’s overdue. I’d like to take it a bit further, Keemo. I’d like to see a clean sweepdown fore and aft – everybody on Capital Hill thrown out, from the life-term politicians to the janitors, and we start all over again. And term limits, we have to have term limits and elimination of earmarks. This would prevent lifetime pols like Murtha and Byrd from using our taxmoney to buy and maintain their seats.

Again, this was a case of Rudy using liberalism against liberals. Liberal NYC judges weren’t giving hard time over drug dealing or gang membership, but they had to crack down when it came to guns.

The rights of the Second Amendment makes offical registration absolutely unacceptable. Much like the somewhat innocuous initial “registering” of Jews in the mid-1930′s under the hyperefficient Nazis made their political helplessness and ability to escape impossible by the late 1930′s and into the early war years.
I’m not comparing the situations here, but remember: registering things is the first step of controlling and confiscating them. And criminalizing citizens.
You can’t scratch your ass in this country without supplying your social security number. The government needs its taxes to pay for all the voting scumbags who live off of your labor.

I own my guns legally I don’t mind registration, I don’t see what the big deal is, I actually think that its pretty much common sense. (do you want illegal aliens buying guns at stores? under age people.. etc.. )
