His close association with the Weather Underground types and his membership in a clearly racist church as well as his voting record in public office make him absolutely unacceptable and unfit to lead this nation.

Oh my. That’s a perfect rebuttal. I can see it in a debate between Obama and McCain.

Too bad McCain won’t use it. Maybe one of those eeevil 527s will.

With regard to Obama’s sudden climbdown, if that’s what it is, from earlier pledges to meet directly with the leaders of Iran, Syria, and North Korea during his first year in office, I just cracked the new issue of the Atlantic and see that Matthew Yglesias has a piece titled “The Accidental Foreign Policy.” No link as it’s not yet available online, but the timing of the piece is inconvenient, to say the least. Yglesias lavishly praises Obama for sticking with his commitment, made in the July 2007 YouTube debate, to meet face to face with the leaders of rogue states.

Obama hopes you won’t notice he keeps changing his story.

And how did we get into a position where our major media outlets habitually lie to us and don’t even snipe at each other over the fact? Let’s face it, the MSM has become a Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Operation, we need a “break-up” of the leftist monopoly in media.

The problem is that it’s a “cradle-to-grave” monopoly, with J-schools dominated by leftist professors sending their favorites off with high honors to run the big media outlets.

And the result is the absolute dreck they try to feed us every day. They get caught in lies on a LITERALLY daily basis, and yet they carry on… because for many people, there’s little alternative.

I won’t say the “old days” gave us any more honesty in reporting – but then maybe it did, because the “old guard” papers used to criticize each other – when’t the last time CBS took a shot at CNN for lying? Or WaPo at the NYT?

Hmm, if memory serves… no Administration has spoken to, or had good relations with:

1. Iran since 1979
2. Cuba since 1959
3. Syria since 1967
4. North Korea since 1948

That will change if and when Obama becomes President. In my opinion he will warm up to many of these nations, in particular the Arabs, as a result it will place increased pressure on Israel to give up more of it’s land for the so-called peace process (which in reality is a smoke screen for the Arabs as their intentions are to destroy Israel).
