Not so much Ron Burgundy as a Burgundy/Brick Tamland hybrid. With great presence under the basket, of course.

I’ve been getting a LOT of “This video is no longer available” notifications from HA as well as LGF. But I got the same response when I clicked on a link for a YouTube on WND. When I say a LOT I talking about all youtube linked videos on these sites for the oast several weeks. Is anybody else have this problem?
sanclemman on May 9, 2008 at 1:49 PM
Charles read good.
leftnomore on May 9, 2008 at 1:51 PM
Everyone should check out the video game “Barkley, Shut Up and Jam Gaiden.” It is about Charles Barkley’s basketball saga in a post-apocalyptic New York after a “Chaos Dunk” has killed most of the city. He weilds holy Spalding balls and is hunted by Michael Jordan who is now running the B-Ball Removal Department.
No, I’m not kidding.

WIN.
Capitana on May 9, 2008 at 1:56 PM
Happens to me with YouTube about 80% of the time. Don’t know why or what to do about it except hit refreash and try again … over and over and over.
Rod on May 9, 2008 at 2:01 PM
That was awesome, and spot on with the Ron/Brick hybrid analysis.
BadgerHawk on May 9, 2008 at 2:04 PM
That’s the first time I’ve seen Charles anywhere but a basketball court, but it seems to me he struggles to read. No wonder he waded off into a simple three word sentence without realizing what he was saying.
txsurveyor on May 9, 2008 at 2:06 PM
That was turrble. I think Frank Caliendo does a better Charles than Charles does.
fossten on May 9, 2008 at 2:08 PM
He takes that prank well.
jukin on May 9, 2008 at 2:09 PM
That was turble. Juuuuuust turble. Those guys are knuckleheads.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on May 9, 2008 at 2:10 PM
you all are laughing now; but wait till they form the order of the hand.
lorien1973 on May 9, 2008 at 2:16 PM
I saw that live…I love that show. I always DVR it, so that even if I miss the game, I always watch the show.
Charles is a dumbass…lol. Very funny…I can see making that mistake though..if u are reading a teleprompter, cus it’s just moving up and up, and u are just trying to keep up.
Chudi on May 9, 2008 at 2:18 PM
It’s all in the delivery.
Vizzini on May 9, 2008 at 2:26 PM
[Referring to Paul Pierce saying he wanted to guard Lebron James]
“He’s crazy. That’s like me sayin’ I’m goin’ on a hunger strike.”
fossten on May 9, 2008 at 2:26 PM
I love Ernie. LOL
Dubn8tr on May 9, 2008 at 2:27 PM
Maybe that’s was the reason Charles said that the word “conservative” made him sick to his stomach.
Grafted on May 9, 2008 at 2:32 PM
I watch NBA on TNT sometimes just for BARKLEY. The crew is always sticking it to him. These guys are funny. Barkley is not there to enlighten academia on pertinent issues regarding round ball. It’s Charles Barkley. Doesn’t that say anything to you?
saved on May 9, 2008 at 2:34 PM
Funny.
CP on May 9, 2008 at 2:41 PM
Keep watching, folks. My mortgage bank thanks you.
tbradshaw on May 9, 2008 at 2:50 PM
Gotta say I think Barkley showed some class with his reaction.
What d’you think Osama Obama would have done in the same situation? It wouldn’t have been pretty.
MrScribbler on May 9, 2008 at 2:51 PM
Charles Barkley makes the playoffs worth watching just for his antics!
TDBURN on May 9, 2008 at 3:18 PM
Once, I almost cared about what Barkley had to say, uuhm..nope still don’t.
Speakup on May 9, 2008 at 3:19 PM
Round Mound of Beclowned.
JammieWearingFool on May 9, 2008 at 3:19 PM
Good thing they didn’t try that with Boomer. God only knows what he would have done afterward!
TheBigOldDog on May 9, 2008 at 3:20 PM
I’m not sure if it was the 92 or 96 Olympics where we had professional athletes playing in the basketball games with Charles Barkley. Whatever it was, he was a dick. He was beating up on people for no reason and really turned me off to him. These people who the US team were playing against were obviously excited to be playing against professionals they probably looked up to and the way he conducted himself was shameful.
He’s an ultimate tool.
Geronimo on May 9, 2008 at 3:22 PM
I really, really like Charles Barkley. Not only is this man a hugely competent athlete but he has a great sense of humor and the humility to back it up.
You go, Charles.
pabarge on May 9, 2008 at 3:34 PM
Charles took that prank really well. Shows he has a sense of humor about himself which is always refreshing.
UnEasyRider on May 9, 2008 at 3:49 PM
Yes, he is.
Jaibones on May 9, 2008 at 4:35 PM
I have not seen Anchorman and now I want to.
EJDolbow on May 9, 2008 at 4:35 PM
Isn’t he also a Hillary Clinton supporter?
EJDolbow on May 9, 2008 at 4:36 PM
Not only is he a Clinton supporter, but he says all Republicans are religious hypocrites. It was on HA a while back.
jgapinoy on May 9, 2008 at 4:52 PM
Thank God Ernie didn’t put an F-bomb on there like they did with Ron Burgundy! I loved Anchorman but unfortunately I watched for the first time with my then-13-year-old and that scene was not what I expected!!
rockmom on May 9, 2008 at 5:05 PM
Yes, stupid, we all know you’re a dumbass. I’m just wondering why you seemed to surprised by the assessment.
Virus-X on May 9, 2008 at 5:08 PM
Funny. I bet I would have done the same thing.
mikeyboss on May 9, 2008 at 5:17 PM
The human torch was denied a bank loan
(another great line from the opening scene of Anchorman)
disco on May 9, 2008 at 5:50 PM
The arsonist had oddly shaped feet
(that was the line I was meaning to write)
disco on May 9, 2008 at 5:51 PM
Barkley handled it with class! Note at the signoff he sticks in “… and I’m a dumbass.” Kudos to him.
drunyan8315 on May 9, 2008 at 6:06 PM
SPORTS TEAM! ASSEMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…
52Ranger on May 9, 2008 at 6:43 PM
that is the future governor of the great state of alabama…according to the d.a. himself that is
alabudboy on May 9, 2008 at 6:52 PM
“Turrible, just turrible”
cat-scratch on May 9, 2008 at 7:42 PM
They need to do that with Obama’s teleprompter I bet he would read the inserted line. (I suggest inserting the line: “I am a marxist tool.”)
HawaiiLwyr on May 9, 2008 at 8:54 PM
Barkley is great. Awesome sense of humor. As long as he is talking about basketball or just goofing around I could listen to him all day.
Hog Wild on May 9, 2008 at 9:21 PM
Bets sports show on TV. Bar none.
