The NYTimes is atitter over Silky’s apparent admission, this morning on the cable news network watched by the fewest people, that he voted for Obama in the NC primary.
Chris Matthews’ leg has yet to comment.

Silky soft.

John Edwards is the only person in the world who cares about what John Edwards thinks. I thought he was back in Mayberry trying to get Otis out of the drunk tank.

Such a pretty pony.

He is the prettiest pony of them all.

I’m glad the ambulance drivers had Election Day off.
mymanpotsandpans on May 9, 2008 at 11:14 AM
He voted for who he thinks will be the winner. He doesn’t really care other than how much influence it will give him.
ThackerAgency on May 9, 2008 at 11:14 AM
Pretty smooth Silky,
Wait until after the primary is over and then “let it slip” that you voted for the guy that overwhelmingly trounced the other candidate. That’s the way to get some cush Ambassadorship should the candidate go all the way!
highhopes on May 9, 2008 at 11:16 AM
what has this guy ever done to deserve any kind of influence? well, they are democrats..they have different standards…(i.e. none.)

The Silkyponytron 5000 must’ve finally spit out an insurmountable delegate-count win for Obama. The confidence level finally reached 98% and was downloaded directly to Edwards’ “heart and soul.”
RBMN on May 9, 2008 at 11:35 AM
HEY EVERYBODY! I have an announcement to make…
I voted for Bush in 2000. Just thought you all really wanted to know.
fossten on May 9, 2008 at 11:36 AM
Thanks Michelle, I have had the pleasure of forgetting Silky Pony was even on this planet……. until now.

He’s jockeying for a VP spot.
Call me cynical if you must.
Bob's Kid on May 9, 2008 at 11:42 AM
Same thing here. Let’s be cyanical together. Scratch that, now I’m bitter.

An Obama/Edwards Whitehouse.
Just give your paycheck to a street person and be done with it.

Okay, Cynical :-)
steveegg on May 9, 2008 at 11:48 AM
The reason democrats are so popular in Hollywood is because success to democrat politicians is how famous they are. How many people know their name is their resume. It is not measured in acomplishments or success, just fame.
EJDolbow on May 9, 2008 at 11:49 AM
Howard Dean for VP
scottm on May 9, 2008 at 11:51 AM
Edwards went on to say:

D2Boston on May 9, 2008 at 11:54 AM
Howard Dean could well play a major role in the outcome of the general before its all over. If the Republicans win the Whitehouse, chances are Deanyboy said something really stupid. Again. The Dems would be best to break his legs and shoot him.

Is the pretty pony saying to Obama… pick me… pick me…. for VP. I think that would be perfect.
Maxx on May 9, 2008 at 12:26 PM
Obama asking Edwards to be V.P. would be the final blow to Hillary, wouldn’t it?
Perhaps we should all be grateful to Obama for forcing the Democrats to realize what power hungry narcisstic egomanaics the Clintons really are.
Rightwingsparkle on May 9, 2008 at 12:36 PM
Betting that Silky would claim to have voted for the winner is a safe investment.
pedestrian on May 9, 2008 at 12:42 PM
“..who will Edwards endorse?….”
Who the hell cares?
After making his ‘announcement’, I’m surprised that Edwards didn’t also say “And I am available for the VP position”.
GarandFan on May 9, 2008 at 12:42 PM
Did anyone catch his with on C-span? All of this suggests he is indeed demonstrating his desire for the number 2 slot and that he is prepared to push his wife out front as needed.
One surmises Edwards is demonstrating that his wife would be a key spokesperson for the needs of healthcare reform/ overhaul while he could play other notes on the populist bell. But when it comes to striking the populists note, John is no Hillary.
John doesn’t have the boots to be a king maker. He’s all hat and no cattle.
moxie_neanderthal on May 9, 2008 at 12:58 PM
Things must be going well on the Edwards plantation. He looks rested.
bloggless on May 9, 2008 at 12:59 PM
Hahaha, sounds like you are all from my niece’s kindergarten class. She goes to an all girl school and they have a large My Little Pony as their class mascot. Each day someone gets the chore of brushing it’s tail and mane and feeding it before leaving for the day and someone gets to take it home for the weekend and write in their journal about it.
The comments here are similar to her journal.

I haven’t been able to get redlasso to work for 3 or 4 days! I’m going to look up the video at youtube.
Charles Martel on May 9, 2008 at 1:06 PM
Ditto, this is a non story, I bet the Democrats could care less about him.
AprilOrit on May 9, 2008 at 1:07 PM
Serious question: Whatever happened to Edwards’ delegates? Assuming he still has them, he would be kingmaker at this point, or at least by June 3.
Think_b4_speaking on May 9, 2008 at 1:08 PM
My God he’s soooo cute. He is the ultimate in silkiness.

Pundits think the Swift Boat guys doomed Kerry… it was the Edwards hair video that killed that candidacy. What a closet case.
leftnomore on May 9, 2008 at 1:47 PM
Maybe the Democrats can declare John Edwards “Official Democratic Party Vice-Presidential Candidate for Life”, and avoid all the questions in this and the next 5-6 presidential elections about who the nominee will select as their running mate.
Of course, other than a wonderful appreciation for hair care (and I doubt John had any serious experience using Afro-Sheen during his formative years), it’s hard to see what Edwards would bring to the Obama campaign, since he didn’t do anything to help Kerry in the South in 2004 and it’s not as if America’s trial lawyers aren’t going to be mainly in Obama’s camp if there’s another No. 2 selected.

It can’t. It’s flooded in a substance more viscous than water.

Did Edwards reveal which mill his father worked in?

Who did Dennis Kucinich vote for?
MaiDee on May 9, 2008 at 5:09 PM
“I just voted for ‘em on Tuesday.” That’s not gender-specific.
I think it’s time that the folks at the NYT take a trip down South for a grammar lesson.
free-thinker on May 9, 2008 at 5:38 PM
He’s saying that he just voted for ‘em, not him as reported. Claims it’s his Southern background. He’s a typical Democrat apparently voting more than once.
