What’s stranger, the idea of a “fair and balanced” segment featuring one star Townhall blogger against another? Or the fact that I agree with O’R all the way around on this one? Good lord — I need to stop mixing Newcastle with Vicodin.

Why does O’Cranium even have commenters on? Are they there just to listen to his wisdom?

Maybe McCain SHOULD have said, “I’d vote for a guy that’s as dumb as a stump, before I’d vote for a manbearpig.”

He IS a bit like Hugh Hefner, isn’t he?

In the beginning O’Reilly wasn’t half bad but lately he would make a hard-core narcissist look like a person of great caring, compassion and selflessness. He is so full of himself that he’s very hard to watch even for short periods of time.
rplat on May 9, 2008 at 10:33 PM
Anyone else having trouble with the video just loading halfway?
SouthernGent on May 9, 2008 at 10:34 PM
MKH was hotter than Amanda in this segment imho.
awake on May 9, 2008 at 10:36 PM
Now that would have peaked my interest.
Chauvinistic? Yeah, I know. But it’s late on a Friday.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on May 9, 2008 at 10:42 PM
Why doesnt O’Mouthy just SHUT UP ALREADY and let these two intelligent women speak???
Oh…. I forgot… its all about O’Mouthy anyway.
Did I actually hear O’Mouthy tell Mary Katharine she was WRONG and cut her off… he oughta be arrested, I tells ya…

I’ll echo Allah, har!
doubleplusundead on May 9, 2008 at 10:46 PM
Kudo to both girls!
MKH didn’t allow him to interrupt her as much.
Domino on May 9, 2008 at 10:46 PM
I wish to Hades he would quit interrupting them! Man!
Glynn on May 9, 2008 at 11:03 PM
Sheesh. Roughly half the d**n segment was him talking over them.
Yakko77 on May 9, 2008 at 11:18 PM
Bill Clinton’s finger? or Bill O’Reilly’s finger?

ANY OLD NIGHT ON “THE FACTOR”
O’REILLY: Okay, rising gas prices are something to be concerned about. In my opinion, we need to tax the oil companies’ profits at 99 percent. Now, I could be wrong, but I doubt it. But you’re the expert, so what say you?
GUEST: Well-
O’REILLY:- BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. You’re not answering my question. May I remind you this is the “no spin zone.”
GUEST: Well-
O”REILLY:- BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. So, what’s your answer?
GUEST: I th-
O’REILLY:- BLAH BLAH BLAH. You’re dodging the question. Okay, I’ll give you the last word.
GUEST: Thanks. I-
O’REILLY:- BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. Okay, that’s all we have time for. I still say we need to shoot oil company execs and bury ‘em and then dig up their corpses and desecrate ‘em. Stay tuned for pinheads and patriots. Tonight, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson. Which is which? I wonder if they saw my interview with Hillary?

I’ll be in my bunk.
Blarg the Destroyer on May 9, 2008 at 11:44 PM
Good segment by both the Hammer and the Carpenter - don’t they go well together naturally?
Anyway, the parody whitetop is exactly what Colbert does. When he has guests on, he has the audience cheer for him instead of the guest. He got his entire schtick from O’R. But O’R has to have the easiest job in the world. Bring chicks on to talk.
ThackerAgency on May 9, 2008 at 11:51 PM
Finally got it to play. I’m with O’Factor on this one, too. I wish the people on our side would tell The Left to STFU!

BillO’ is a uesless idiot.
urbancenturion on May 10, 2008 at 1:31 AM
I was hoping that you’d post this, AP. This particular BO was especially rude and annoying today.

How many times before “you interrupted me, now you listen to me” wears out?

P.S.
And she gave it back a couple of times as well.

McCain isn’t a war hero, huh? What’s Huffington done for the United States?
Virus-X on May 10, 2008 at 3:10 AM
Aren’t you glad MKH and Amanda appear with Bill O’Reilly and not Chris Berman? Imagine how much you’d cringe hearing Berman call them “Mary Katharine Honey Baked Ham” and “Amanda Union Carpenter.”
radjah shelduck on May 10, 2008 at 6:46 AM
Two beautiful, intelligent women and that dweeb still only wants to hear himself talk.
peacenprosperity on May 10, 2008 at 7:00 AM
How utterly stupid. One of the most highly watched commentators on the tube and one of the few that give conservatives a fair shake and you’d rather hear a couple on air headed ninnys blather without being challenged.
Onager on May 10, 2008 at 8:28 AM
BClinton the demagogue, ripping up anyone who challenges him, who asks a question he doesn’t want to hear. He’s great at getting that crowd to join in his being a jerk towards that lady asking the question. Look next week for BClinton to be on the stump for Obama, to ‘heal the party’. Actually so he can continue to speak to adoring crowds-he lives for that.
Doug on May 10, 2008 at 8:49 AM
I don’t care how much Bill O may annoy, I’ll always appreciate the influence he is having on the culture war.
Tonight, I particularly agreed with him about the race-baiting and racialization of everything. The left would use it to bully and shut down any adversarial point of view. Early signs suggest that Obama’s supporters will try to paint the opposition as racist. When in American society you can’t even say ‘white voter’, then you have a really serious problem.
petefrt on May 10, 2008 at 9:09 AM
OR reminds me of my ex-wife.
Wade on May 10, 2008 at 9:30 AM
I hate to say it, but O’R was right on this one. And I will add that the Factor is not the same since Michelle left the show 8 or so months ago. I doubt she will ever return to prime time but she did add to the Factor.
Zorro on May 10, 2008 at 10:27 AM
You’re nuts. I’m afraid we’ll all need to check out a link to a picture of your wife/girlfriend. Clearly you have lofty standards.
Mojave Mark on May 10, 2008 at 10:33 AM
MKH is is the most polite-yet-assertive dealer with interruptions I’ve evah seen on TV talk shows. And yes he’s a rude guy. Conservative, OK, but needs to get hisself some manners.
inviolet on May 10, 2008 at 10:49 AM
What an O’Reilly segment not about Internet porn?
Hilts on May 10, 2008 at 11:08 AM
Yes, it would be nice if Bill just shut-up sometimes and let them talk.
Maxx on May 10, 2008 at 11:19 AM
If you say white voter you’re a racist.
A much more important statement than anything Bubba has an issue with.
Political correctness is a scourge in this country.
I remember Bill talking but I don’t remember seeing him in the clip.
Speakup on May 10, 2008 at 11:33 AM
I’m a longtime Factor watcher, agree with Bill about 75% of the time, and strongly disagree the rest. Firstly, he needs to check out Neal Boortz(he won’t have him on, I know)and get an education as far as profit and profit margin…When he goes on about oil company profits, he’s sounding like a lefty..Secondly, people have always complained about him interrupting, and his excuse is there’s no time to waste on spin.I’ve seen where he’s right on this many times. Lately though, he really doesn’t let anyone even finish their point. Found myself asking the other night,”Why am I watching this? The only opinion on here is his, I can watch Olbergoebbels for that.” Hey Bill,I’m a fan, but in the immortal lyrics of John Lennon- “Give guests a chance……..”
adamsmith on May 10, 2008 at 11:33 AM
I lost respect for O’Reilly when he failed to come to Michelle Malkin’s defense when Geraldo threatened to spit on her. I pretty much lost interest in his show about the same time too. If there’s nothing good on the Comedy Channel I might watch the Factor.
abcurtis on May 10, 2008 at 12:21 PM
Oreilly did his alan colmes impersonation in this segment.
Interrupted, ignored a guests real meaning, and just stupid at times.
shooter on May 10, 2008 at 1:06 PM
Please do we have to put up with O’really? The guy is an ignorant buffoon! Can’t we just edit him out and listen to MKH?

Bill Clinton sounds like Ron “Tater Salad” White from Jeff Foxworthy’s Blue Collar Comedy Tour..

Mary Katharine Ham & Amanda Carpenter vs Bill O’Reilly on the Factor
Fixed
eeyore on May 10, 2008 at 2:37 PM
O’Reilly is an annoying twit. Amanda and the Hammer are such amazingly beautiful women inside and out, and the nude picture of HuffPo was really, REALLY unnecessary!

What is your problem? Are you intimidated by their brains or their beauty? If you are unable to see that both these women are good looking and smart than maybe the problem is with you!
flytier on May 10, 2008 at 10:40 PM
What’s conservative about O’Reilly? His tie? Okay, maybe that. Occasionally.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who always feels vaguely insulted somehow whenever he mentions “The Folks”.
Cylor on May 11, 2008 at 2:51 AM
WE’RE LOOKING OUT FOR YOU!!
I still watch him from time to time though. And I too am confused as to why, only now, are y’all being so pissy about his attitude, which is about the only thing that hasn’t changed on the show over the last few years
Reaps on May 11, 2008 at 4:47 AM
I used to have some measure of respect for O’Reilly’s confrontational interview style; he got where he is by setting himself up as the anti-Larry King, and deserves some credit for that, at least.
But the problem is, he isn’t consistent. I think the point that drove that home for me was when he interviewed Ben Affleck during the ‘04 campaign (when Affleck was in the process of actively flushing his own career down the toilet in order to focus on stumping for John Kerry, which really was doing the world a favor, if not in the way he intended).
After that interview, I wanted to write in to the Factor and ask Bill how many hours of surgery it took to extricate his lips from Affleck’s posterior.
Cylor on May 11, 2008 at 6:01 AM
TeeVee Bobbleheads are all pretty much creepy egomaniacs, only difference with the No Spinner is he occassionally finds some principle to take a stand on but mostly he is just a bloviater like the rest.
Maybe someday we will have a Fair & Unbalanced Conservative outlet and will screw the Lib’s Non-partison crap!
el Vaquero on May 11, 2008 at 10:21 AM
brains ? beauty ? hardly. thy’re decent looking but hardly beauties and I had administrative assistants with more brain power. I simply think it is silly for all the hard d*cks here to be drooling over these two while hammering one of the few commentators that’ll even give them a platform. neither have slogged through the trenches as Bill has done and for my money he’s #2, right after Rush.
