Mircat, until I saw that in print, it never occurred to me, but I think you are right.
JFK tie in; Teddy is a reprehensible creep certain to draw the ire of the Republicans, which will bolster the Dems…and I think Ted K wants to be remembered as more than a stagnant Senator with a poor personal history.

The above comments have a point–I guess Teddy wants to run the country with Obama as his sock puppet.

This also makes me wonder if Teddy’s nose was put severely out of joint when Hillary became a senator and was an immediate power player.

He’s bitter about never getting to be President. What a number of bitter rejected-as-President Dems there are: Carter, Gore, Kerry…

What kind of “real leadership” has Obama himself ever shown in politics before running for President?

Zip. Zero. Nada.

This guy thinks he’s entitled to be President because he wants to be President. And tens of millions of dim-witted voters are willing to hand him the keys to the White House because he’s black and reads speeches well off a tele-prompter. Who cares about actual qualifications when he looks so good in his jeans, right Matthews?
