Video: Michelle on Michelle, the sequel

As was the case three months ago, a lambasting of the Bride of Messiah in NRO warrants an appearance on F&F. “I think this makes her the biggest general election liability for Barack Obama,” saith the boss, striking terror in the heart of her devoted employee at the thought that she might be right. Is this really our best line of attack against Barry O? That his wife’s a self-pitying grievance merchant? No wonder Newt’s worried.
Exit question: No plug for Hot Air this morning, Doocy?

Saw this live this morning. Michelle, as always, did a fantastic job. Gretchen Carlson is a moron though. I wish she’d go away.

Anyone notice that one of the Obama posters shown early in the video has a decidedly Cyrillic-type text?
JasonG on May 7, 2008 at 10:24 AM
Me too. I think what the Obamas are doing is the version of Clintonian triangulation.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on May 7, 2008 at 10:25 AM
I think you’re missing the significance AP. MO constantly reminds people of what BO really believes. She’s a scarlet letter painted on his forehead.

Not sure why firefox 2.0.0.14 (latest) and permission-granted via NoScript won’t run sevenload videos for me…repeat issue.
Could any HA posters lend a hand?
Thanks!

Good to see MM on the TV again. You guys used to post her appearances on here all the time. That’s a great outfit and the arguments were appropriate. I think he didn’t plug hot air because of the ‘Today Show’ gaffe that ruffled his feathers (understandably). Anyway, it’s always good to see MM get TV exposure for her points.

I hate Doocy.

…was that dig on the Today Show worth interrupting Michelle, you dip?
Hint: No, you dip.

I wonder how many Duke students voted for Obama? That whole white guilt thing is crazy.

You have to give Michelle (O!) a break – after all her life was almost as hard as the life of the deserving person who got bumped from Princeton to accommodate her undeserved Affirmative Action entrance.

Makes sense — In 1992 Hillary was always the liaison to the left of the Democratic Party, assuring them that, whatever Bill might say or do on the campaign trail, he was still solidly in their camp (which was true, until he decided he didn’t want to be the Jimmy Carter of the 1990s after the ‘94 congressional election debacle). Obama can’t go out, especially after the Wright kerfuffle, and give anything resembling an “America Sucks” speech, but Michelle can do it as long as the big media outlets continue to shield her from questions on whether her views match those of her husband.
Giving angry versions of Carter’s “malaise” speech (Did Chris Matthews rewrite his original tome for Michelle while his leg was soaking?) assures the hard core on the left that Barak hasn’t gone soft, in the same way Hillary’s connections with special interest groups on the left allowed Democrats in 1992 to relax about what Bill would really do once elected. How the internet and a far wider range of news sources plays into this strategy over the next six months remains to be seen, since just because the big media outlets ignore what Michelle is saying doesn’t mean that, like Kerry’s anti-war activities, they won’t get out to the general public over the next six months through other channels.

Michelle Obama is everything the MSM and especially the New York Times worship. She fits the two most important affirmative action groups. Then she tops that by lambasting wealthy white folks (she exempts Oprah). Then she condemns the United States. That makes her pure gold as far as the MSM is concerned. Rest assured that anybody who ever criticizes her is branded a racist. She fits quite nicely into Arthur Sulzberger Jr.’s world view. Recall that he is the Times publisher (not earned just inherited from dad and grandpa) who told the graduating class at a college: “That I am sincerely sorry that we are giving you such a bad world”. Sulzberger, Jr. and Michelle Obama are made for each other.

I find it so predictable that a sour, mean-faced woman like MO projects that ‘downright mean’ image to the (red states of this) country, not, to the Islameo Facists, for example.
That comment about HRC being chosen as VP. Oh my…what are the odds she would take it? Can you imagine the bloody wars that would happen inside the WH if she were to accept the #2 spot? (It could be revenge for Gorebag’s pain and suffering for those 8 years under HRC’s reign at the Clinton WH!)
In at least 2 ways the Obama/Clinton White House would be changed to the Red House.
On the flip side, HRC could be another Cheney, running things from the back ground, or in her case, the underground bunkers.
No, Doocy don’t pay us no mind AP…and it’s sooo Wrong. ;-)

WOW.
Might be this goes down as one of the greatest inspirational quips ever…./s
p.s.
Has Ms. Hussein EVER smiled about anything other than hubby?

Surely you heard MO’s quote about how BO’s mom “Tried to make something of herself, EVEN THOUGH she came from a small town in Kansas.”
Elitist snob.
kirkill on May 7, 2008 at 11:46 AM
Mrs. Obama is like a mouthful of vinegar.
All of Barry treacle can’t sweeten that.
Who in the general electorate would want to have to watch such a sour crank for 4 years whining about the evils of AmeriKKKa?
Let’s see more of Mrs. Obama so that people get sick of her soon.

Michelle Malkin as usual is right! I would like to see her more often on tv.

Come on, Michelle. You of all people should be able to sympathize with the cost of the other Michelle’s piano lessons :o)
As a couple they remind me so much of the Clintons, as they appeared back in the early 90’s. Both men seem to have some charm (seemed in Bill’s case), with each woman having the more abrasive personality. One major difference, though. Hill was to the left of Bill, but Barack and Michelle look like equally hardcore leftists.

I dont mind Gretchen so much, but the real twit is Angely Earhart (sp?) on Fox and Friends Weekends. She’s paired up with two male intellectual lightweights and it’s more like a 3 Stooges movie.
abcurtis on May 7, 2008 at 12:20 PM
As a matter of fact, I’d like to see Michelle Malkin take the female slot on Fox and Friends.
abcurtis on May 7, 2008 at 12:21 PM
Fox News ONLY hires blondes. Haven’t you noticed?
kirkill on May 7, 2008 at 12:51 PM
She sat in for Fox and Friends Weekend a few years ago. Did great but she says she is not a morning person.

Among the people who don’t care he’s an inexperienced, pacifist Marxist and determined to appoint judges who “share his world view,” Eeyore’s constant whining could still be an irritant.

Always a pleasure to see Michelle on television. And her points were spot-on. But did anyone else notice how she kept glancing off to her left every few seconds? It became distracting after a while, like “Who/what’s over there?”
But maybe I can make a drinking game out of it, take another shot every time her eyes dart left. I’m sure Michelle only gets prettier the more inebriated I become…
Spurius Ligustinus on May 7, 2008 at 1:54 PM
I’m sorry, did you say something? I was too busy remembering Julie Banderas.
James on May 7, 2008 at 1:56 PM
…as anchors…
Julie Banderas is AWEsome, but not an anchor. A field reporter. They’d do well to put her on in the morning.

On some level, Theresa Heinz Kerry cost Senator Kerry votes and support all over the country for her shrieking harpy gabillionaire routine. One some level. Not sure exaclty how to measure it, you’d have to check exit polls or do some polling 4 years after the fact. But its undeniably true that Ms. Heinz-K was a PR disaster for the Kerry campaign.
The Damus predicts Michelle X is going to be every bit the liability to the Only Man Who Can Save America as The H/K was to Senator Lurch. To me, Madame O is equal parts Anita Hill and Cynthia McKinney. Girl cant help it.
More importantly, the GOP should be prepared and willing to rhetorically slam her head into a turnbuckle when Mrs. O inevitably says something stupid or impolitic. Pardon my French, but seriously, bros. If the GOP is not prepared or willing to publicly call her out on her comments the minute they are made, get ready for 4 or 8 years of Malcolm…um Michelle X in the WH, telling anyone who will listen how F’ed up the USA is because her $350k salary cant pay for a nanny, & therefore America is a racist country through and through.
Imho, the GOP should have a nationwide rapid response squad for Michelle, following her everywhere she goes and taping every appearance she makes. This will assuredly be done by the Dems to any and every GOP player this year.
Mike D. on May 7, 2008 at 2:18 PM
She hosts ‘The Big Story Weekend.’
James on May 7, 2008 at 2:24 PM
Since the Mrs. obviously wears the pants in the Hussein household, how’s he ever gonna shut her up? He can’t! She gives away the game morfe than he does.
Akzed on May 7, 2008 at 2:52 PM
If the Obamas get into the White House, Oprah will be appointed to the Supreme Court by Barry. Bet on it.
