Let me get this straight, they are deeply offended that someone actually quoted something a muslim said and it was printed. Brilliant!

Their complaint was that the article would foment hatred and is hate speech. I’d love to see the same criteria placed on the Koran. It calls for the hatred of Jews and Christians. It calls Jews and Christians apes and pigs. If there ever were a written document full of things that incite hatred, look no further than the Koran which is used to justify killing of innocent people around the world on a daily basis.

The problem is that these Muslims are going to use the law because they can. Anyone can sue anyone. These three are lawyers and they don’t have anything else to do. The fact that they said he can’t quote someone as evidence supporting his case or it is hate speech indicates that they are not very good at actually making arguments that work.

He calls all three of them out for being too chicken to debate him. Then they have no choice.

My favorite part was when he pledged solidarity with the three Muslims in seeking litigation against the Norway imam who said “Muslims are breeding like mosquitoes”. Brilliant!

Very refreshing to see someone who is not afraid to defend himself! I’m so sick of pansy Newt’s boring interviews virtually every day for the last two weeks.

They complained to the Human Rights Commission that McClain’s magazine publishes Mark Steyn but wont publish them. The HRC tells them to go pound sand because they have no jurisdiction to tell McClain’s what it can publish.

They pound their sand stomp their feet in newspapers all over Canada, and on the intertubes, that they can’t get their voices heard in McClain’s.

They believe that, if “freedom of the press” means that any particular “press” has the right to be free, a kind of, oh say, “equal time” should be imposed.

Why, these people are Democrats.

BTW, the gal on the left is creepy. The guy in the middle is dorky. The gal on the right is pretty.

I just got my autographed copy of Steyn’s book, which I bought for WArman Wednesday. Fight on, true Canadians.

Those young people on the show are really dumb, I doubt they would be able to make it as lawyers. Probably end up with some bureaucratic job, squelching free speech and all that.

Notice how their claim went from “we just want equal time” to “this is hate speech”. It reminded me of the “What, we’re just asking questions?” tactic used by the troothers.

Pay attention to the back and forth regarding “significant figures” and also “hate speech comments on a blog”.

That really was their position? Rough comments on a “blog”?

Holy crap! By that standard they better block Dailykos and Huffington Post from getting in to Canada, no?

I’m sure he’ll have to go into hiding soon.

In fact, he looked pretty frustrated for a lot of the video.

Video stuttered for the first 30 seconds then streamed flawlessly. I think you guys would be a little closer to the host of the video than I am, so nfi..

Amen. Whatever the normal leanings of this network, or even this show, the moderator was excellent in keeping things under control (and yes, Steyn could have comported himself a bit better) and calling BS when necessary.

Steyn handily wins this handicap match.

You TIVO the View for Pete’s sake. Your stomach is already much stronger than mine. If you had to turn this off, it’d probably kill me.

And I think the whole thing served Steyn well, though he probably should have controlled his outbursts more. It’s clear these 3 individuals get under his skin.

I don’t know how controlled I would have been. Did you see the part where the not so good looking girl was making stuff up about what Mark had written, got called on it, and said “They’re almost quotes.” (Steyn can be heard off-screen scoffing “Almost?”)

Sometimes you just got to draw attention to a glaring problem.
