O’Reilly to MKH: So, how ’bout those left-wing blogs, huh?

In which the gradual metamorphosis of the Policing the ‘Net segment into a Policing the Nutroots segment continues apace, with Mary K’s reportage a convenient excuse for O’R to settle his many grudges against the left. Any reason to continue posting this week after week? Yeah, actually: The more we grumble, I suspect, the more emboldened MK is to push back against him when he delves too far into jackassery. See that very gentle mockery at the beginning re: how she knows he likes her to be tough on them? That’s our doing, I like to believe. Stay strong, M-Kat.

Oh, COME ON!
*Hits head on keyboard*
Hey, maybe BO can talk about, I don’t know, lefty blogs next week.
amerpundit on May 7, 2008 at 10:36 PM
I don’t normally watch these live simply because I can’t stand to listen to the 56 minutes of “body language” fluff and commercials that surround the 4 minutes of actual substance in the Factor, and I normally catch them here. The back and forth between MKH and O’Reilly, although predictable, always brings some laughs. I love watching her try to defend the nutroots week after week against his ridiculous attacks.

MKH: (smiles) I know.

John McCain wasn’t tortured or beaten, and this clown on Huff

Are all bloggers on the left drinking Koolaid, spiked with
Lysergic Acid Diatholmine, referred to as LSD!
And the left who read em,are aspiring Space Cadets!

Did I hear something about the “vietmanese” ??
I admit it, when I say the word quickly, I often do the same thing.
TheBlueSite on May 7, 2008 at 10:55 PM
The reason to watch the Policing the Net segment, and the reason to savor the reposts of that segment here on HA, has nothing to do with the troglodyte in the suit and tie asking the questions.
It has everything to do with the angelic, gorgeous, brainy, fantastic woman answering the questions.
Its just that simple.
Kapish?
Always Right on May 7, 2008 at 10:57 PM
I know my parents who aren’t as internet savvy like the segment. I think that’s who it’s aimed at.
I’d enjoy it more if MKH were given more time to state her views.
frankj on May 7, 2008 at 10:59 PM
By the way- why the O’Reilly ridicule? He said Huffington Post was hateful. I wholeheartedly agree.
I don’t see anything too crazy here. Is this just the usual weekly O’Reilly attack? I guess I just don’t see how pointing out the fact that one of the most popular political websites (and one that seems to be considered mainstream) traffics in hate daily is “jackassery”.
TheBlueSite on May 7, 2008 at 10:59 PM
I give O’r credit for admitting he doesn’t read the stuff. Most people would pretend that they know everything.
However, I might take issue with the concept that the prolonged D race is good for the R’s. Both Obama and Clinton canvassed North Carolina and many other primary states. They spent tons of money and have a grass roots effort in place on the ground. Contrast that with McCain who spent the NC primary bashing the NC GOP and then came for a boring speech the day of the primary at Wake before he skipped town.
The people of NC know Obama and they’ll probably pick Obama in NC over McCain. Obama has a network already in place that he would not have had the primaries been over. McCain will have to start from scratch. I think it is still a D year.

Moron. The two are so completely different…you simply don’t get it.
malan89 on May 7, 2008 at 11:17 PM
You can keep posting them for those of us who do not have a TV but enjoy looking at Mary-Kat regardless of what she’s talking about.
It’s not much of an excuse but it works for me!
Does anyone actually like Bill O?
deewhybee on May 7, 2008 at 11:18 PM
Its two competing segments.
Bill O’s segment: Swinging a sledgehammer at the nutroots.
MKH’s segment: What’s going on in the intarwebs this week.
doubleplusundead on May 7, 2008 at 11:23 PM
I think the most likely result would be that he drops the segment. I think the opinion of the blogosphere about itself is pretty unimportant to most people. MKH is lucky he pretends to care and continues to give her face time.

Uh, being of that 60’s generation that’s Lysergic Acid Diethylamide

Saw this live, and loved when MK compared them to kiddies and Bill Clinton, not to be left alone for too long, something to that effect. O’Reilley has the HuffPoo nailed though.

“I know you like me to go hard on them.” That’s what she said.
Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, three things:
1,MK in green is impossibly hot.
2,Allah, these vids need to be posted for the sake of supporting The Hammer, who we all love dearly and who, god willing, may have have her own show.
3, If the BO gets excessive, do what I do: turn down the volume.
PolitiNOOB on May 8, 2008 at 12:56 AM
Umm…DUH!
I just wish she’d wear the glasses again. ;)
Benaiah on May 8, 2008 at 1:04 AM
Intresting, people posting here have said the same about John McCain several months back when he won the nomination.

YAY! we get Hammer in Hi-Quality sevenload format! Whoo hoo!
Thank you AP! :}

I swear, that woman grows more beautiful with each passing week. Heaven must be a slideshow of Mary Katharine Ham’s television appearances.
No sound. Just Ham. ;-)
Jockolantern on May 8, 2008 at 4:13 AM
That was a pretty good segment, actually. One got the impression that Bill was actually… listening to MKH.
(Also, add here obligatory swooning over the smart and lovely Ms. Ham.)
Farmer_Joe on May 8, 2008 at 7:45 AM
Just in case dummy me forgets what day of the week it is. Beyond that, PolitiNOOB beat me to the extended answer.
I’m surprised nobody picked up on the closing remarks from The Hammer on where blogs are and are not influential.
steveegg on May 8, 2008 at 8:06 AM
Hear, hear!
HYTEAndy on May 8, 2008 at 8:16 AM
Just because RedLasso craps out on Ed 1 time in 3 during the show doesn’t mean it’s bad (I’ll let you insert your own adjective here :-)
steveegg on May 8, 2008 at 8:30 AM
I think she said “toddlers, puppies and Bill Clinton”, all of which have about the same level of maturity. However, this does not mean that they are equivalent, since Bill is far more dangerous.

Note to MKH: Don’t wear mom’s cloths on TV
Wade on May 8, 2008 at 8:52 AM
BOR is really suffering for content since he failed to take Geraldo to task, thereby losing MM as a regular on his show.
Big bloated moron.
BKennedy on May 8, 2008 at 9:22 AM
MKH knows of what she speaks, BO should just listen to others (not himself via his earpiece) and learn something.
MSGTAS on May 8, 2008 at 9:34 AM
Haven’t watch the show since.
Wade on May 8, 2008 at 11:09 AM
Why doesn’t BoR just go to MSNBC already? His lovefest with HRC was exactly their kind of show.
Oh and M-Kat was HOT as usual.
HotAirExpert on May 8, 2008 at 11:29 AM
MKH: (chuckles politely) “I know.” LOL. She sure knows how to handle him.
well…I liked it. Terrific color for her too. Must admit I didn’t notice at first due to the gorgeous smile.
