Liberalism must “silence” Rush if they are to have their monopoly over the people back in their court. Silence Rush, and the rest (including MM) will be easy targets. I don’t need to state my conservative values, but if you measure being a conservative as being only in “lock step” with Rush, you are very weak minded.
Where did I say I wanted to silence him? I will re-state the obvious that you missed…I think he is great, but on this issue he is taking too much credit. Operation Chaos was fun (and a great marketing tool), but hardly effective. Once again, others above have pointed out some of the stats that bear this out.
He was most successful at tweaking the noses of the MSM and dems, “all show,no go” as they say.
I guess I should never have gotten between two lovers…sorry I hurt your feelings.

yeah, it is a self promo for Limbaugh, but so what.

I think a few folks are missing the bigger point: Limbaugh’s point is that it simply keeps her in the fight longer, spending money,beating up on Obama and creating more divisions among the two Democratic camps. Second, it interjects an unknown variable into the equation in that the actual Hillary vote count is uncertain. Third, it adds a little bit of humor.

It might appear that the hugh GOP vote totals that turned up against St. Mc in NC-27% and IN-23% has scared the “be jesus” outah him!

Reverse Chaos…! Folks!

If 23% voted against St. Mc, in Indiana and approximately 7% of the GOP there crossed over and voted for Hillary or Obama?

Does that mean if there had been no cross over voters “Operation Chaos?” that only 16% of the GOP weren’t in favor of St. Mc…?

Damn sure sounds like “Reverse Chaos” to me!

My father is less prejudice than his father, and I am less so than my father. Step by step, inch by inch so to speak.
I love the notion of having Michael Steele on McCains ticket, so I don’t believe it is a race issue for me.
However Rush has referred to the race issue as playing a part in this election. I would hope that the majority of us have grown beyond that.
I just don’t like the company Obama keeps, including his wife, and that is what Rush needs to focus on this fall for “Chaos Stage Two”.

There’s no support for the theory that this 5.5% listened to Rush. It’s just as likely they are sick of Bush and don’t like McCain and prefer Hillary to Obama. 5.5% voted for Obama. Maybe they listened to Rush but decided Obama is the more unelectable against McCain and wanted him to be the nominee to help McCain win in November.

Why are you theorizing when there is actuall proof out there. Thousands of people admit to being operatives in “Operaction Chaos” and many have called his show the past few months.

WHy not just look around the web for all the Operation Chaos blog posts and comments?

Most black voters will vote for Obama only because he is black. And some white voters will vote against him only because he is black.

I wondered about that yesterday. In an effort to gauge the “anti-Black candidate” feeling out there I decided to google “Barack Obama” AND “Ni**er” spelling out the second word. I also did the same for “michelle Obama” and the “n” word.

There are more than just a few matches which makes me think there may be a not insignificant number of voters who will not vote for the “black candidate.”

fossten, return to your paradise, friend. If you listened to Rush, you’d hear how he has confronted the RNC about their failings. He doesn’t poke them in their collective eye, but he does get right in their face. That is the fact.

I’ve listened to Rush since 1992, and he is off message. He was on message during the primaries, but now all he cares about is electing McCain. Furthermore, he said during the primaries that he’d rather see a Dem win over a liberal Republican, because if they’re going to screw up the country he’d rather see the Dems get blamed for it. So now he’s changed his mind?

If you don’t remember this then you don’t listen to Rush as often as I do. Strike goes to your credibility.

Rush is the best! He is the voice of conservative reason currently ringing in the wilderness as the Republican Party is run by country club liberals. I love Operation Chaos! It is funny, relevant and irritating to the DNC! Rush pushes the buttons of the elite, irresponsible media and we need him to continue! If you don’t get it, you are out of touch or you are a simpering liberal who reads DKOS every day for your marching orders and you shake your teeny tiny little fist and stamp your teeny tiny little feet in fits of teeny tiny rage!

With all due respect, Rush is off message. He is too focused on Hillbama to pay attention to the fact that our best case scenario involves electing a liberal named John McCain to the Presidency. Rush himself during the primary season called McCain a liberal. So now he’s focused on making sure McCain gets elected? His show has become about defeating the Democrats, and not about conservatism.

This is where Rush has lost his way. He should be focused on conservatism, and figuring out how we conservatives will never again be in the position where we are forced to either vote liberal or stay home. Instead of poking the DNC in the eye, he should be poking the RNC in the eye. That is a fact.

Sorry I offended you and your Rush love fest…I think Rush is great. You, unfortunately in your blinded love, couldn’t get past the fact that someone one is dissing your lover.
Chaos, and many of his marketing ploys are just that, marketing to get ratings. Now some good may come of this (you obviously found someone to love), but he only promotes what promotes him. The MSM picked up on this and he ran with it. Do you actually think he promotes these things because he is so “altruistic”? Do you really believe that he cares that much? He has a great and entertaining schtick, the best ever on radio.

Your statement cannot be taken seriously because you say “No effect.” People might think about reading your posts or taking you seriously if you said something like “having little effect”

It is having an effect in many ways, not the least of which is the morale boosting and bonding effect it is having on Conservatives. We are forming a cohesive unit to fight against the Democrats even though we have a nominee who inspires no such fight.
