Chanzis is a partner in the firm Wlodinguer, Erk & Chanzis. While being a partner doesn’t guarantee competency (in fact, oftentimes it’s a contrary indicator of it…), you really don’t get to that league if you don’t know basic nexus issues.

I think Franken failed to mention a bunch of stuff to his accountant (or misrepresented what he did mention) and then instructed him to keep quiet about the whole thing.

The height of hilarity would be as follows:

1) Hollywood comedian Al Franken announces run for Senate from Minnesota (as if he has lived there for a long time)

2) Al Franken is investigated like any other candidate for the Senate.

3) Al Franken goes to jail for income tax evasion, a crime discovered during the investigation

4) Al Franken drops out of Senate race, but says he might run again “next time.”
