The fact that they are questioning the legality of this really reveals what they think of freedom.

Real quote of the day:

So some feel this diary is “childish and paranoid”, that’s an opinion

Heh.

VolMagic on May 1, 2008 at 10:46 PM

Its not like he couldn’t get Oprah to do the same thing for him.

Jay on May 1, 2008 at 10:46 PM

Cue the crying baby picture.

WisCon on May 1, 2008 at 10:47 PM

I guess we know who they are “in the tank” for

i think what he’s getting at is that it looks like electioneering to him.

that is indeed a crime…but no…this is not electioneering. what a dolt

ernesto on May 1, 2008 at 10:51 PM

Gotta love the name of the diarist.

DaveS on May 1, 2008 at 10:52 PM

Sounds like someone ran out of shwag and had to switch to Natty Light.

Asher on May 1, 2008 at 10:54 PM

Did you see the votes? Most are sure it’s illegal and unethical.

I thought being pro-illegal and unethical were prerequisites to be a Kos Kid in the first place.

Guardian on May 1, 2008 at 10:55 PM

Imagine these people in charge. We would all be strung up really really fast. Yikes!

BJ* on May 1, 2008 at 10:58 PM

Its not like Hillary has not been BEGGING Barry O to join her for a talky on the television.

EJDolbow on May 1, 2008 at 11:02 PM

Those people are crazy…

Hog Wild on May 1, 2008 at 11:04 PM

wow, just wow.

trailortrash on May 1, 2008 at 11:07 PM

This just proves that the Corporate Media will go through untold lengths to prop up the fading Clinton Campaign.

We’ll just ignore every single other outlet doing everything possible to prop up Obama.

amerpundit on May 1, 2008 at 11:07 PM

I don’t like them.

ronsfi on May 1, 2008 at 11:08 PM

The Kos website is irrelevant. Everyone can see right through whatever the contributors have to say and the bias inherant in their commentary. SO its easy to dismiss everything they are all about. Isn’t being in the tank for one candidate on a continual basis, electioneering too??? On the other hand, the Clintons reap what they sow. They were in bed with these nutjobs not so far in the past.

HawaiiLwyr on May 1, 2008 at 11:13 PM

Its not like he couldn’t get Oprah to do the same thing for him.

Jay on May 1, 2008 at 10:46 PM

Oprah seems to have gone MIA as soon as her fans starting slamming her for politicking for Obama. She love money more that Barak.

TheBigOldDog on May 1, 2008 at 11:14 PM

As she is on ABC, Obama gets the full hour with Russert, at the exact same time!

Pam on May 1, 2008 at 11:17 PM

What a bunch of freaking morons. Kos kids need to grow up.

jdun on May 1, 2008 at 11:17 PM

Are they talking about the same Barry O who basically declined free airtime by refusing to debate Hillary?

Vigilante on May 1, 2008 at 11:21 PM

It’s a story of two worlds, and excess Koolaid sipping
A world thats is cying, and another that is on the verge
which nominee to cry over, one nominee to spit over
will one faction out cling the other or will it be bitter!

Will the children become bitter, clingy and crying at Kos,
stay tuned, actually who gives a rats !ss!

Vigilante on May 1, 2008 at 11:21 PM

You know, that’s a really good point. As far as I’m concerned, if a candidate walks out of a debate, the network should hold it anyway, and just allow the other person the opportunity to dominate the airtime. Why should Hillary be denied the opportunity to talk about policy just because Obama is a chicken? Anyone with me here?

freakagriep on May 1, 2008 at 11:26 PM

Liberal Fascism

jp on May 1, 2008 at 11:28 PM

Anyone with me here?

freakagriep on May 1, 2008 at 11:26 PM

I’m with you. If the guy can’t stand up to Hillary, who will he stand up to?

O’Reilly just got done with an interview with Hillary and is going to interview McCain next week. I don’t think nObama will have the “Malkins” to step into the No Spin Zone.

cjs1943 on May 1, 2008 at 11:42 PM

So Daily Kos believes it is “illegal and unethical” for Hillary Clinton to do an interview on ABC. But Daily Kos is perfectly fine with Barrack Obama doing an interview on NBC. The same NBC where their hosts have said such things as “Obama sends a thrill up my leg” and “If Obama’s speeches don’t make you cry, you’re not an American”. Nice double standard, Daily Kos.

The comments over in the fever swamp are hilarious. Endless rants about Disney corp pushing Hillary and how illegal this is, and then one guy points out that Obama is on at the same time on another network. The only reply he gets is one guy says “prove it!”, which he does, and then its back to the same ranting.

pedestrian on May 2, 2008 at 12:57 AM

Oh my, I just got to this thread. I have not laughed this hard in a looooong time. No wonder any sane candidate distances him/herself from these rats. I thought they’d get rabies by the general, and wildly stir the latrine into waves, but I was so wrong. No idea what they will do by Nov.

I had several quotes that I was going to bring over, but this one’s my favorite. I can’t stop laughing.

Yes, but Obama does better when he’s on offensive, creating the news and not responding to it.

If this wouldn’t be so tragic, it would be the funniest I’ve experienced in a while.

Wasn’t it Hillary who challenged Obama to debates, and he declined. I doubt that Obama will ever debate again.

They’ve got one thing nailed, though, Obama’s defensiveness, and posture of late. They know, the rats, they have no brains, but they have instincts.

Entelechy on May 2, 2008 at 1:32 AM

How would Peggy Noonan respond to their plea?

Markos looks like the wimpy, loser brother in “Two and a Half Men”

(Although “half” would be giving him too much credit.)

I think the network should schedule a debate. Any candidate that doesn’t show up would be replaced by a surrogate chosen by the network with a large placard with the candidate’s name hung around their neck. I’c be very interested to see what kind of reaction there would be to someone standing in for Obama. Would there be many accusations of racism? Or maybe the question would be how many such accusations would there be. Would there be accusations of cultural genocide or destruction of the black church?

snaggletoothie on May 2, 2008 at 3:52 AM

Can someone get that person laid, please?

Claypigeon on May 2, 2008 at 4:34 AM

Kostools.

leftnomore on May 2, 2008 at 4:55 AM

How *dare* that network not get in line and formally endorse Obama? I think we know who is behind this – Haliburton and the Disney Channel.

The military-children’s-entertainment-industrial-complex.

We will not permit dissent and the revolution will NOT be televised.

The ideologically impure will pay for this!

Ares on May 2, 2008 at 4:58 AM

Laughing at KOS is a natural human reaction but these people are dangerous. I believe that Markos took the name KOS for a reason, it is short for KOSSACK. While historically Kossacks in Russia were not communists, this group seems to be bent in a communist direction. Read some of their posts and you get the impression that they want an overthrow in the US and an establishment of a Socialist/Communist way of Life.

They are nutroots but, unfortunately, the Democratic party seems to be catering to them.

Golfer_75093 on May 2, 2008 at 8:57 AM

I kept trying to figure out who in the heck Markos reminds me and I finally figured it out! He looks like that guy from the Mentos commercial.

WHO THE HELL CARES what Kos and his nazis think? The hypcricy is mind-blowing. They are whining about the press? They are asking about the legality of open forums? SCREW THEM. I signed up at the DailyKos last year to try and engage the libs in rational debate. What happened? The very first time I posted an opinion contrary to the left, my user ID was banned from posting. I emailed more than once and cited their own acceptable use policy. No dice. No posting rights for me. I’m left to simply goose step around the site.

Kos is a far left liberal lying sack of crap. He claims to be supporting free speech, yet his organization consistently stifles and censors ALL those that dare to suggest alternative opinions or ask questions.

Kos needs to be airlifted to Iran so he can truly express his views among others that share them. Or maybe Russia.

So Daily Kos believes it is “illegal and unethical” for Hillary Clinton to do an interview on ABC.

This has got to be, what, the first time that “Daily Kos” has EVER disrespected the entire concept of “illegal” and as to “unethical,” it’s a giveaway they don’t understand what ethics are by sheer fact that they use the term as customization for their emotional moment.

I laughed aloud at the screen capture, by the way. Classic. Should be preserved for future, continued use.

S on May 2, 2008 at 10:49 AM

As to preserving Kos-reference material, I maintain a classic nasty in my non-published comments section on my blog from one of the Kos Diarists, left on my site during the last Senate elections. They guy-ish left the same email user I.D. with the comments that he uses at Kos to publicize that he’s “a Democrat activist” and “fundraiser” (and in which state, easily also identified), for, of course, “the DNC.”

S on May 2, 2008 at 10:53 AM

Jeez, I click at Instapundit and wind up at HuffPo. I click at HotAir at wind up at Kos. I feel like I need a saline lavage.

It’s not quite as good as the Ned Lamont t-shirt nipple-pinching screencap AP has of him, but this one does have that certain ‘I just sat down on something unexpected’ look to it.
