Count the platitudes. Get a pad and pen to do it; you’ll run out of fingers mighty quick.
We’ve had ourselves a nice little marriage of convenience the last month or two. Consider this a divorce.

The illustrates perfectly that these politicians in favor of illegals are clueless about what is happening on the ground in America.
Newsflash to Hillary: Almost no large cities check for or report the illegal status of arrestees. Even more distressing, even where prisons might do checks before they release a convict, ICE doesn’t pick them up.
Nessuno on May 1, 2008 at 10:00 PM
No Hillary you won’t crack down on sanctuary cities . . . you’ll just continue to suck the rest of dry to pay for those parasites. This is disgusting.
rplat on May 1, 2008 at 10:01 PM
Liberals simply can’t make decisions without basing them on emotion. Sanctuary cities deserved to lose all federal funding. Leaders of these cities are aiding and abetting criminals.

Yeah, this betrays her other conservative positions such as Lose the War on Terror, Confiscate Your Paycheck, Assign you to a Doctor who will Misdiagnose You, and Put Bill on the Supreme Court.

Righto, cannonball!
Madame Hillary! had to get her Bush dig in, too, didn’t she?

That’s it, I’m moving out of the country come January.
All I want is a politician who takes the immigration issue seriously.
I like immigrants. In fact, even if we allowed three million a year to come in I wouldn’t mind, as long as they CAME HERE LEGALLY!!!
McCain is the best choice thus far, but even he doesn’t seem to get it.
If my country is not serious about preserving its sovereignty when it comes to who is accessing this country, then why should I be serious about staying?
Tired of being overlooked (by politicians),

Jeeez! Democrats are just making it up as they go along. Seems like Clinton does not know what a sanctuary city is.
In a way she seemed almost conservative about this (though ignorant at the same time). Checking people’s citizenship when they have committed a crime is the least we can ask. She acts like that makes sense. She may be doing some dancing on this one tomorrow.
Agrippa2k on May 1, 2008 at 10:12 PM
Is it really that shady in America that 12-14 million people can hide in the shadows?
Also, how does she gel this with not wanting to give illegals driver liscenses? That would presumably “bring them out of the shadows” and make the roads safer, no?
VolMagic on May 1, 2008 at 10:12 PM
I thought the divorce was supposed to wait until August or until she takes the delegate lead (whichever comes first).
steveegg on May 1, 2008 at 10:14 PM
Neither will McCain or Barry.
Which is why I am finding it very hard to vote for McCain.

Downfall of the West.
One great accomplishment of the West was the idea that the law would be enforced equaly, and it would be supreme.
If the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the most powerful country in the West won’t enforce its own laws?
Anarchy…. you know, like the shuting down of the Ports?
Romeo13 on May 1, 2008 at 10:22 PM
Which is why I hope to move out of Fairfax County VA and into Prince William County VA in the next month or so.
At least Prince William County gets it.
F15Mech on May 1, 2008 at 10:23 PM
People are fed up with these clowns. Just wait till the campaign really gets started. Clinton, Obama, and Juan “Z-Visa” McCain are going to feel the wrath of the American voters on this one…BIG mistake by Clinton during the interview…
DfDeportation on May 1, 2008 at 10:23 PM
Good point there. I forgot about the few states that take this seriously such as Oklahoma and Arizona…wait a second…isn’t John McCain from AZ?
Darnell Clayton on May 1, 2008 at 10:26 PM
Someone needs to go over this interview, three or four
times Hillarys brain started to have an electrical fire
as O’Reilly kept her on the ropes!
Other Liberal interviews ask the PC namby pamby questions
and she gets about 2 days to answer them!
This one has her off guard,O’Reilly did a great job!

This is my “hot button” issue and brings out the worst side of me so pardon me if I get pissy but I am in the trenches here in Texas. ALL illegals are criminals by the very nature of their being here in this country, period. I spent 8 long, noisy, dirty, miserable, grafitti-laden, gang-infested years in a neighborhood that was demographically 98% Hispanic (supposedly 50-75% illegal according to the liberal Dallas Morning News). Until these do-gooder limousine liberals and bleeding hearts have to live elbow to elbow with these people then I don’t think they should have a say because they aren’t seeing the damage that is happening here on a daily basis. Furthermore every time some city or state says enough is enough and passes a law against illegals then MALDEF, La Raza and the ACLU file injunctions against it and these idiot liberal judges appointed by Clinton uphold the ban and the city is screwed. Before someone calls me a racist, it has less to do with skin color than with education, culture and unfortunately money. Many of the illegals are undereducated and don’t give 2cents for our laws because they are used to their corrupt systems. I feel very sad for my 2 sons who are 3yrs old and 7months old.
Getting off my soapbox. Thanks for letting me vent.
mrsmwp on May 1, 2008 at 10:30 PM
Hillary wouldn’t enforce federal law as president? Damn. Just damn.
Buddahpundit on May 1, 2008 at 10:37 PM
Does everyone realize that Hillary is toast after this? All Obama has to do is come out tomorrow and say something like “Did I hear Mrs. Clinton correctly in that interview with Bill O’Reilly that as President she would refuse to enforce federal law?”
Gameover
Buddahpundit on May 1, 2008 at 10:49 PM
I think its not only the people that are coming over here illegally, but what could they be bringing over here besides the illegal drugs. This comes down to a national security issue for me and the illegal immigrants are secondry.
I want the borders sealed for national security reasons. We all know that there are jihadists that want to come over here and kill each and everyone of us.
With that said; the borders are secured, then have the employers use the e-verify system to come down on the unscrupulous employers. Then the illegals will self-deport.
Also, when law enforcement does have someone in custody, check their status, and if they are illegal, they can serve their time and then kick them out of here.
For you bleeding hearts, get over it. They decided; as in made a decision, to break our laws and enter here.
cjs1943 on May 1, 2008 at 10:52 PM
While the Gov of AZ sent the National Guard to the border so at least someone in AZ gets it. (My friends in AZ do as well).
I wish it were states, in VA it is actually counties that are starting to take notice and realize what a drain illegals are on the counties services (hospitals/schools etc).
I expect quite a few states are watching how the court cases go in PWC and if successful they will implement similar measures.
I will tell you one thing, given the choice as to where to buy a home, I am focusing in PWC and a big part of that is the crackdown on illegals.
My friend in PWC reports that corn is no longer growing in his neighbor’s front yard.

desertdweller on May 1, 2008 at 11:00 PM
Well, at least we know that whichever one of these three bozos we elect, It will be ‘business as usual’ pandering to the Illegal Alien invaders.
I am a bit surprised… I didn’t think Hillary would let herself get pinned down like that when she is trying so desperately to brand herself as a populist-centrist these days.
LegendHasIt on May 1, 2008 at 11:07 PM
You should’ve cut the Iraq/Iran/Palistan stuff.
She is insane. Still better than Barry though.
VolMagic on May 1, 2008 at 11:08 PM
Heh. Pakistan.
VolMagic on May 1, 2008 at 11:09 PM
She is definately stepping into “it” admitting she is going raise taxes and then do nothing about those here illegally not paying taxes but still taking advantage of the social services those taxes us “citizens” pay out every paycheck.
America government needs to get out of the way of American citizens and do those things they were elected to do.
Hog Wild on May 1, 2008 at 11:09 PM
No surprise. What she didn’t say, with all her spinning as fast as she could about actually caring about the safety of US citizens and deporting criminals, is that the real reason she won’t do anything about sanctuary cities is the Hispanic vote. Much more important than cities obeying federal laws.
katieanne on May 1, 2008 at 11:15 PM
That is what is so cool about PWC, and the laws they enacted.
They police have to do that when they pull someone over.
Of course they are being sued over it.
I am tempted to drive as reckless as possible, just to get pulled over, hand over my birth certificate and shake the officers hand before he cuffs me.
Common sense prevents that of course but one can dream.
F15Mech on May 1, 2008 at 11:16 PM
I thought Hillary made it clear that she didn’t mean illegals that were arrested for another crime. That she was referring to people who report crimes. I had a feeling O’Reilly and Clinton were not talking about the same thing and Clinton confirmed it by saying at the end she didn’t mean illegals that break other laws.
free on May 1, 2008 at 11:19 PM
You got it, Hog Wild. The spin you see out of this will be something to behold. The Obama people have a chance to destroy Hillary within 48 hours. She might even drop out within the next few days if he plays his cards right. And I think his psychtic handlers are slightly smarter than Hillary’s psychotic handlers so they might realize that it’s time to go in for the kill.
Buddahpundit on May 1, 2008 at 11:20 PM
Obama can’t say that because he supports sanctuary cities too…
Now… McCain on the other hand…
Romeo13 on May 1, 2008 at 11:23 PM
Now… McCain on the other hand… … … he supports a sanctuary nation, the whole enchilada.

McCain is dancing a jig. Shrillary just moved a little further to the left, leaving more of the center open for McCain to lay claim. It doesn’t matter which of the morons he faces, he will occupy the center ground and that is how he will win in November.

Looks like none of the candidates want the Moderate Democrats votes…
DfDeportation on May 1, 2008 at 11:45 PM
Hillary Clinton is lying! She’s not for enforcement…..AT ALL!!! She’s not for secure borders!!!
DfDeportation on May 1, 2008 at 11:46 PM
Illegals who commit crimes should be deported. We do not have the manpower to deport all illegal immigrants, nor should we. Most of them are hard working Christians just trying to escape economic hell where they came from. I do not believe we should have an amnesty program, but I am sure that widespread deportation is simply unfeasible. You really want to complain about the wasted tax dollars? That would be a waste.
jimmy the notable on May 1, 2008 at 11:53 PM
Not in the long run. But really, that’s why self-deportation is so nice. Take away the reasons for them being here and a lot of them will leave on their own.
Grayson on May 1, 2008 at 11:57 PM
We can deport every one of them and it wouldn’t be that expensive. That is a myth. But, we wouldn’t have to deport EVERY one of them. Workplace enforcement and cutting off taxpayer benefits to Illegal Aliens, their Anchor Babies, and the Church’s who support them will do the trick…Hillary SPEWING her same BS about cops going door-to-door arresting Illegal Aliens. LIAR!!!
DfDeportation on May 2, 2008 at 12:09 AM

I have never been so angry about anything Hilary has said as this. And I’m not a Clinton hater. I suppose she is just completely clueless in that liberal Christian sort of way about the problems due to illegal immigration.

Today was supposed to be a 50,000 gathering at the LA May Day parade. The LAPD reported tonight around 6,000 to have showed up. Was the difference just agit-hype?
Entelechy on May 2, 2008 at 1:50 AM
But one thing the KFI reporters on location said, was that this year displayed way more Mexican flags than last year’s parade did.
Entelechy on May 2, 2008 at 1:51 AM
Illegal aliens generally do NOT want U.S. citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a U.S.citizen. Mexicans want to remain citizens of their home country while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What illegal aliens want are benefits of American residence without paying the price.
Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans have resented the United States. During World War I, Mexico allowed German spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the U.S.. During World War II, Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the U.S. from Mexico. During the Cold War Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U.S. to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and applauded all across Mexico. Today, Mexican school children are taught that the U.S. stole California, Arizona, new Mexico and Texas. If you don’t believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their schoolchildren.

MB4 on May 2, 2008 at 2:22 AM
Excellent point.
The politicians live in plush, gated communities while the rest of us taxpayers have to deal with the crime, declining home values, and crowded schools that accompany illegal immigration.
If the “most of them are hard working Christians,” then
why are they encouraging law-lessness and anarchy in society?
If the majority of them are Christian, then why are they stealing?
ColtsFan on May 2, 2008 at 2:24 AM

Bill O is doing his usual self important thing and she’s leaning back in the chair thinking, “Why does this joker think I would ever care if some nameless sargent’s son gets killed in LA? How many votes is he going to deliver? He really needs to talk about something important. Maybe we should get out that sargent’s FBI file and figure how to shut her up.”

And McCain will clamp down on sanctuary cities?
We’re screwed either way.
tgillian on May 2, 2008 at 6:50 AM
I like how she threw “fair and balanced” in there. She really is sucking up to Fox News isn’t she!
No wonder Obambi won’t debate her, right or wrong she clearly knows her stuff.
ctmom on May 2, 2008 at 7:21 AM
no, she isn’t. she knows exactly what she is doing and knows exactly what is going on. she simply has a different point of view about things than we do (and she’s a fantastic liar). what i’m surprised at is, how many of you, and even Bill, missed the big picture (or chose not to expose it at that moment, and i wouldn’t be surprised if that is what happened) she is against cracking down on sanctuary cities because they are VOTERS! she needs those or she is “toast” as someone just said. so she tosses out this line of bullshit about helping the police in hopes to acquire some conservative voters (good luck). come on….its quite clear.

If anything, I’d say she came out strong against illegal immigration than McCain does.
I can’t say I like her position here, but I don’t see the problem. The alternative isn’t any better on this issue.
