Via WJNO, I’m, like, unclear and whatever as to what she’s hoping to accomplish. She’s against Republicans and she’s against divisiveness, so her plan is to … divide her own party with a PR debacle that would hugely help McCain?
We should start a pool on who’s going to do the most to turn Denver into a clusterfark. Al Sharpton? The Florida delegation? Those nuts who e-mailed HuffPo with barely veiled threats in case the Prince of Peace isn’t anointed as the nominee? Place your bets in the comments. And yes, I’m aware that Limbaugh was roundly reviled for saying something similar to this just last week, but Roseanne’s a different case because she’s (a) an imbecile whom no one takes seriously, (b) vaguer than he was in calling for “trouble,” not riots, and (c) a virtuous liberal, silly.
Exit question: What is it with comediennes named “Rosie,” anyway?

The odds on favorite has to be Code Pink. No matter how much the candidates pander to them, they’ll never be satisfied.
Number 2 on May 1, 2008 at 3:32 PM
Did any of Rosanne’s three listeners call in to disagree with her?
sondiehl on May 1, 2008 at 3:36 PM
Rush played this yesterday. I guess Ken Salazar hasn’t demanded she be reprimanded yet.
Like, I had no idea she was on Dead Air America and stuff.
JammieWearingFool on May 1, 2008 at 3:37 PM
I’ll be praying for 4 feet of snow at that Convention. It’s snowing here today on May 1. The National Day of Prayer. And no, I didn’t click on the video.
kirkill on May 1, 2008 at 3:37 PM
She can spend every cent she earned on that trashy show, but she will always look and sound like a slob. Sorry, but it is true.
She’s a Liberal, what a farkin’ surprise. She need to get on The View as a regular. That will turn the show into a total black hole of knowledge.
Wasn’t the woman that used to do Bounty commercials named Rosie?
Hening on May 1, 2008 at 3:37 PM
Rosie the Robot is -still- the hottest Rosie ever.
lorien1973 on May 1, 2008 at 3:38 PM
“Like, oh my God, *sneers then picks butt*, let’s cause trouble and junk and stuff like that”
Geronimo on May 1, 2008 at 3:40 PM
I agree with Number 2. Code Pink will put on the best show. If they don’t draw blood, they will bring their own.
Rightwingsparkle on May 1, 2008 at 3:40 PM
I have to say, the CGI in this looks a lot more lifelike than in the first Hulk movie.
Oh, wait - wrong thread.
Big S on May 1, 2008 at 3:40 PM
Democrats - The party of the intellectual elites.
Cicero43 on May 1, 2008 at 3:40 PM
Give Rosanne a huge hat and a Brooklyn accent and she could sneak into the Democratic convention disguised as the late Bella Abzug.
jon1979 on May 1, 2008 at 3:40 PM
Rosanne who?
Liberty or Death on May 1, 2008 at 3:41 PM
Heh…good one!
Liberty or Death on May 1, 2008 at 3:43 PM
I agree with that statement, but I would imagine some of her viewers don’t. Rush was torn to pieces over this, but he wasn’t actually encouraging it. She is, and people who listen to her are far more likely to do anything than Rush’s listeners.
Esthier on May 1, 2008 at 3:43 PM
Surely someone somewhere will do a remix of “Trouble in River City.”
Rightwingsparkle on May 1, 2008 at 3:44 PM
I think historically, it’s never snowed in August in Denver. The only month of which that can be said.
jwehman on May 1, 2008 at 3:44 PM
I’d watch the video but I don’t want to have night-terrors when I sleep tonight!
Liberty or Death on May 1, 2008 at 3:45 PM
Based on Zombie’s photo essay, I’m gonna go with World Can’t Wait.
SouthernDem on May 1, 2008 at 3:47 PM
Blubber? Intelligence? U r 4 logic?
On a serious note, KFI news (LA 640AM), this morning lead with this statement “First protester on May Day showed up”. Then, they proceeded to interview this American citizen, who came in support of the illegal aliens, the way he put it, because we mistreat them, and he also came in support of last year’s “May Day LA massacre“. I”m not kidding you, that’s the word he used, regarding the LAPD’s little shoving of some reporters, who supposedly “didn’t understand “move out of the way” in English.
By the news’ account the anti-war, labor unions, and a few other suspects are lending support to the marchers today. No telling how the day will end, on this my despised Communist holiday.
You say “what does this have to do with Denver”? It’s the unrest they are all fomenting, leading to ‘bigger’ things to come.
Entelechy on May 1, 2008 at 3:47 PM
Denver will be like a national freak show. I can’t wait.
RobCon on May 1, 2008 at 3:47 PM
Roseanne is also a virulent Israel hater.
Hilts on May 1, 2008 at 3:48 PM
“68″ all over again for the bong and bwownie club
TroubledMonkey on May 1, 2008 at 3:51 PM
She should just grab her crotch again like she did in San Diego. That would stop Denver in it’s tracks.
Hummer53 on May 1, 2008 at 3:53 PM
Notice in the photo how she is sticking her fingers in her ears? It’s because SHE cant even stand to hear herself talk!
kcd on May 1, 2008 at 3:54 PM
Right now you have a picture of Liz Mair next to a picture of Rosanne Barr, is a Beauty and the Beast comment too predictable? How about a Conservative women are better than liberal women? Oh wait, that’s just another way of saying Beauty and the Beast isn’t it.
srhoades on May 1, 2008 at 3:54 PM
All women named Rosean or Rosie are fat and obnoxious for some reason. Just like that in that song by AC/DC…
AlexB on May 1, 2008 at 3:56 PM
I wager that Tubby Riefenstahl, aka Michael Moore, will make some sort of scene at least one of the days. He doesn’t have a movie or book to flog, but I can’t imagine him missing out on all the “fun” in Denver.
Mallard T. Drake on May 1, 2008 at 3:58 PM
OK, let’s be honest. Rosanne’s voice is enough to cause me bowel trouble. If I’m lucky, it’s only severe cramping. If I’m unlucky it’s worse.
I was all in favor of the V chip when I thought it would scan the program, and determine if someone objectionable, like Rosanne, or Gary Busey was going to be on. If such an objectionable person was on the show, then channel something less objectionable on, like the Home and Garden Network, or even that sitcom Wings that they used to show twelve hours a day every single day.
When I found the V chip was unable to filter truly objectionable material from my television, I became a very outspoken opponent of the technology. I’m sure you understand why.

A little group called Recreate 68.
I don’t how big they are, but I know how angry they are.

Time to up my investment in popcorn. Popcorn, people, not biofuel with that corn.
rbj on May 1, 2008 at 4:02 PM
My mother taught us that if you can’t say something nice about someone then don’t say anything at all. So my comment about Roseanne would be that she doesn’t seem to sweat very much for being such a fat fu*k.
repvoter on May 1, 2008 at 4:04 PM
Neither of the Roses are exactly stable people. Barr has had drug and alcohol problems, and reportedly has some mental illness issues — at least, she impressed Jay Mohr to that effect when she hosted SNL while he was on the show. O’Donnell has publically discussed several of her mental health issues: she suffers from depression, has a drinking problem, and she claims to have practiced really frightening and bizarre forms of self-injury when she was younger — I don’t mean cutting, I mean *breaking her own bones.*
I know that there are crazy people who channel their illness into political crankitude all over the spectrum, but it seems like the left is especially fertile ground for activist craziness. (Prominent right-wing cranks, by contrast, can seem bizarre and wrong to me, but they usually seem like sane people with weird convictions, rather than people who are hanging onto sanity by a thread.)
Well-Armed Lamb on May 1, 2008 at 4:04 PM
Nevermind visions of 1968 Chicago. If anything will put an end to the impasse caused by the superdelegates refusing to commit it will be the threat that Roseanne shows up at their party, and stuff.
All she’d have to do is show her tickets to Denver in August and the delegates will suddenly decide who will be their candidate, how to seat Michigan and Florida without looking even more foolish, etc.
highhopes on May 1, 2008 at 4:04 PM
Somehow I don’t think that Bob Seger had this gal in mind when he penned these lyrics: “Here comes old Rosie/She’s looking mighty fine”…
She must have thought that “The Fire Down Below” was her call to Denver mayhem. What a tool!
onlineanalyst on May 1, 2008 at 4:12 PM
Pool’s over, dude. By virtue of his abysmal leadership in the face of events leading up to this clusterfark, the hands-down winner is Deano. YEAAARRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!!
Kid from Brooklyn on May 1, 2008 at 4:13 PM
The DN convention going to be better then the Super Bowl. Liberals vs Liberals, can’t get better then that.
jdun on May 1, 2008 at 4:20 PM
Looking at that picture, you can almost see her spittle come through the screen. What a waste plastic surgery.

ROFLMAO!!
Liberty or Death on May 1, 2008 at 4:27 PM
Years ago Barr claimed to suffer from multiple personality dosorder which basically equates to her having borderline personality disorder. I hadn’t heard of the self-injury before. Borderline personality disorder would be the first diagnosis considered for a self injurer. Such a person’s contact with reality is transient and never complete.
snaggletoothie on May 1, 2008 at 4:33 PM
What you folks are forgetting is that all these organizations like Code Pink and “recreate ‘68″ are all funded by the same people through the same organizations.
The biggest funders of these organizations are George Soros, Teresa Heinz-Kerry, Ted Turner, Ben Cohen (of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream*) and all of the rest of the “usual suspects”.
*Just remember that a portion of the earnings from every pint of Ben and Jerry’s sold goes to fund people who want to kill you, your family and America. Quit buying that shite!
Nahanni on May 1, 2008 at 4:34 PM
Space Cadet to Major Tom,Rosanne is advocating carnage
mayhem, and truth to power with a nice bottle of vintage
of Flower Power at the DNConvention!
Whatever happened to the Liberal slogan”Make Peace(Love)
not War”,and its only okay when Democrats call for rioting
at Denver and not Republican’s,Rosanne how Liberal of you! Haha.
canopfor on May 1, 2008 at 4:36 PM
C’mon, she doesn’t mean THAT kind of trouble. Her, Rosie O’Dumbell and Susan Saranwrap are going to stuff their faces with creampuffs, Bluto in the food line style, and spit at the delegates by pounding their cheeks. Rosanne already has the spitting down pat.
“I’m a zit……..get it!?”
crashman on May 1, 2008 at 4:37 PM
Actually, she did say one funny thing a long time ago when she did stand up. She said that she would start vacuuming her house once a week when Sears came out with a ride-on vacuum. I thought that was really funny. Other than that, I can’t recall anything funny.
bloggless on May 1, 2008 at 4:38 PM
When she says “We should do it”, she means “YOU should do it”. Good luck in jail.
RobCon on May 1, 2008 at 4:40 PM
Rosanne Huh… I saw the picture clicked and thought I was going to the Hulk story. ;)
C-Low on May 1, 2008 at 4:41 PM
How about a hunger strike Foo-Barr? Nah!
RobCon on May 1, 2008 at 4:41 PM
You DID go to the Hulk story..sort of.
RobCon on May 1, 2008 at 4:42 PM
I second the vote for the World Can’t Wait/ANSWER/marxist crowd. The only way to get real media attention with all the goings-on in Denver will be to burn some cars/stores, and those are the ones to do it imo.
Clark1 on May 1, 2008 at 4:43 PM
I can just see secruity at Denver, checking to make sure your a Liberal!
Halt,I need to zee your papers,Vell your papers seem to be inz zee proper order!

Sh*t-disturbing in Denver? Is she coming out as pro-life?

it’s difficult to discern the difference between Rosanne and the photo of The Hulk beneath her on the mainpage… eesh…

Who roundly reviled Rush?
Those sophisticated New Yorkers you hang with?

There will be some sort of trouble in Denver. Let’s hope they don’t remember the thin air and all pass out en masse.

Apparently Rosanne moved back to her trailer in Commerce City.

Let me paraphrase…”I’m a loser and my career is in the tank so let me have another fifteen minutes…I made and squandered my money so now all I can hope for is laughable, vain infamy…if anyone else gets in trouble what do I care, I can afford a lawyer.”
Waiting for the chant “ATTICA!ATTICA!”
