Kerry to media: Why won’t you let go of this Wright thing?

posted at 6:50 pm on April 30, 2008 by Allahpundit

Why indeed? Obama’s presser is on the front page of every paper in America; 70% of the public thinks Wright has hurt his campaign. What could have possessed Alex Witt in thinking it might be a proper topic for discussion?

Just a little working o’ the refs here to get them back on the team, adorned by a man known unaffectionately as “Waffles” with some perfunctory disparagement of politicians who change positions as expedience dictates. There’s really no need to hector them, senator. It’s MSNBC, for heaven’s sake. If you want them cheerleading for Obama, all you have to do is ask.

Yeah! Like you didn’t dwell on my desecration and disservice to my military by shamelessly lying and by extension aiding the enemy! Remember how we forgot that? Do it again!

Watching him is physically painful.

I wonder if he is going to say something stupid again (which is all the time) and say that if you don’t go to right Church, you may end up with a Rev. Wright. Which of course will then make Rev. Wright look like some sort of saint. Ugh

Doesn’t Kerry remind you of the snobby guy who gets regularly beat up in some posh prep school? He has this attitude and smugness that just cries out for a punch in the mouth. He is Marty in the Disney “Spin and Marty” series. I bet he has a man servant and pinkie ring. I bet he speaks French. Oh yeah, of course, he does.

Poor Jawn.

His repulsive elitism, callous thoughtlessness, outright lies, and complete and utter worthlessness (as well as the disaster that is his spouse) came out in all their grisly glory when he ran for President.

I’m sure glad that things have changed for Obama! Whew!

John Kerry’s not so secret any longer MySpace entry:

Hi there fellow bloggers. My name is United States Senator John Forbes Kerry from the great state of Massachusetts. You can call me JFK if you want. I was born on December 11, 1943, although people tell me that I look at least 20 years younger. It’s probably my great hair and rugged good looks.

I graduated from Yale in June 1966 in the top 1% of my class. To earn extra money during the summers, I loaded trucks in a grocery warehouse and sold encyclopedias door to door. That is probably one of the reasons that I am so humble. Over my four years at Yale, I maintained a 96 grade average and received a 101 average in my senior year.

I am one of the most senior members of that grand and much loved and respected institution known as the U.S. Senate. Probably the only living Senator even a little bit greater than me is my dear friend Ted Moore Kennedy. I also have a very high IQ. Very high. At least 250 on a bad day. Much higher than that creep who stole the election from me. I know that he stole it because exit polls are never ever wrong.

I am also a great war hero. I set all kinds of records for heroism when I was in Vietnam. I was grievously wounded at least three times yet continued to insist on staying in the fight when lesser men would have given up. I won the bronze star with extra V’s for extra valor and the Silver Star for defeating a whole battalion of NVA with my bare hands.
Sometimes I feel like a had to carry all the water for those other ungrateful swiftboaters.

I sometimes like to chill out after a long day of serving the American people by having a double martini with my good friend Ted. We usually have a servant bring 21 double martinis. I get one and Ted gets one for each of his fingers and each of his toes. Contrary to what some of my very few enemies say I never marry women for just their money. They must also have a pulse. BTW, did I mention that I was in Vietnam? I was also in Cambodia, so don’t forget that!

I would like to think that I am open minded, honest, polite, heroic and trustworthy. And I appreciate the same qualities in others although I am realistic enough to know that no one else could come close to me.

Turn offs: Other politicians who spend more on haircuts than I do. That is just not right. My latest biggest turn off is media types and right wing bloggers who make such a big deal about the Good Reverend Wright. I mean like what’s all the big fuss about? He has never said anything that I haven’t thought or said myself.

Who I’d like to meet:
…other progressive bloggers. Other great war heroes who hate that damn S-T-U-P-I-D Texan in the White House and those lying sons of #itchers swiftboat bastardos whose pants are on fire and people who make such a big deal about the Good Reverend Wright! Cool people who live close to Washington D.C. so that we can get together, talk about you for about 30 seconds and then spend about 9 hours talking about me. BTW, did I mention that I was in Vietnam and Cambodia? Just one more BTW, if anyone has found my magic hat please return to me.

Here is the comment I left over at CNN (still waiting to be dumped)

Here is a question for the “lets move on” crowd;
If any other candidate in this election had been a 20 year member of a racist church, would you still be trying to “put it to bed”, indeed, would that candidate even be in the race at this point?

Why is no one asking this question?

“Incentives for renewable fuels.”

Shut up.

No.

Really.

Shut up.

If “renewable fuels” were economically feasible, we’d have them. They aren’t, so we don’t. Nowhere close.

You want the price of any-damn-thing to go down, what do you do?

Any politician that has the unmitigated gall to suggest that they or whomever they’re shilling for can do anything to lower the price of gas, I think the reporter should be required to ask them just where they plan to drill, and just where the new refineries are going to be built.

Typhoon on April 30, 2008 at 7:17 PM

Why is no one asking this question?
ChrisM on April 30, 2008 at 7:15 PM

I’ve seen that question asked on O’Reilly, Hannity and Colmes, Brit Hume’s Special Report and a couple of other Fox shows. Of course Rush has pounded the subject out on a pretty much non stop basis since it came to light. Oh you must be referring the MSM.

Oldnuke on April 30, 2008 at 7:24 PM

All I can say to John is; you had better hope Hillary doesn’t win the nomination and then the presidency, cause if she does, you will be on top of the “pay back” list.

Just the thought of what the Clinton’s will do to those who betrayed what they thought was their’s, is enough to drive fear through one’s soul. John is running scared for good reason. Hell, John wakes up scared every day simply because he’s a total pussy girly-man; this just makes his typical fearful day look more like Friday the 13th part 7.

Leave this Wright thing alone! What he really means is “stop the Hillary express please, let Obama win this thing so that I can live to have many more fearful days.

Pussy!

Keemo on April 30, 2008 at 7:24 PM

Kerry needs to spend more time with the Ketchup lady and stay the hell out of our faces. Does anyone other than brain dead leftists care what Kerry thinks or does? This “Wright thing” gives us a vivid look into Obama’s character and judgement and it isn’t going away.

Nothing hurts the current Democrat fraud more than having the previous Democrat fraud show up and remind everyone of the grim continuity. You didn’t see Dukakis and Mondale much during 1991, but then Bill went and forgot his own wisdom, becoming The Ghost of Political Nightmares Past for Hillary.

Actually I guess one thing does hurt a candidate more… but Reverend Wright is an entirely new political life-form.

Their web site is still up, Kerry still has not answered their questions nor signed the one page form to release all of his military records. I’d love to see the voters of Massachusetts demand answers from Kerry and refuse to re-elect him to the Senate if he continues his stonewalling.

I believe Kerry should not even be allowed to be a Senator without receiving a two-thirds vote of each House of Congress. I quote part of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America:

3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
